- Q: I was doing some homemade circuit wiring and had a plug wired to a push button switch, wired to the load,(lamp light) then wired back to the plug. My question is the first time around I used 14g wire and it worked fine, light came on at the push button. Second time I used the same plug, 16gauge wire wired to the switch, to the load(this time a miniature bulb that sat in a smaller version of those pull lights in closets) and then back to the plug. When it was switched on nothing happened. So I went back to the 16gauge and wired it up and the bulb popped. Is this because the wire used is to small and not rated to carry the amps provided by the wall receptacle?
- Maybe an electrician would have done it better and stopped you almost killing yourself or starting a fire!

- While a wiring harness isn't strictly necessary, It's highly recommended. The wiring color code on an aftermarket head unit will match up properly with a vehicle-specific wiring harness. The wire colors of your vehicle wiring will NOT be the same as the wire colors on your aftermarket unit. You have to match the wires up according to function, not according to color.

- Hi There, Here is the proper way to wire a receptacle: Before starting the very first thing to do before wiring is to make sure the power is turned off at the breaker box. First: The bare (or green) ground wire goes to the green screw terminal on the receptacle. Second: The white (neutral) wire goes to the bright metal screw terminal on the receptacle . Third: The black (hot) wire goes to the brass screw terminal on the receptacle. Finally after the wires are connected and are tight; carefully position the receptacle back inside the box and tighten the two receptacle screws. Then replace the cover plate and turn the circuit breaker back on and plug a lamp or something in to test your work. Hope this helps, Al

- all wiring with large eyelet end,s go to main solenoid terminal...the large brass/copper post in the center/top. the small wire/wire,s attach to the terminal marked with a S for solenoid. the small terminal to the side. do not place any ground wire,s to either terminal....best of luck.

- GOOD LUCK... Isuzu cars and trucks are discontinued and the only Isuzu dealers still opened are big trucks like the NPR box trucks... unless you find someone online like a former Isuzu tech, not sure if you will get any schematics
- Q: What's the best kind of wire to use that can stand being kilned?
- that really depends what you want to do and how high you are going to fire. Generally nichrome 80/20 wire should be OK until cone 9. Then there is Kanthal which will withstand even higher temperatures but is more expensive than nichrome. You could get either probably in electronics supply houses. If you do lowfire, maybe up to cone 06 or lower steel will probably be OK. The surface of the steel will oxidise and so get clearly thinner, keep that in mind. Generally your wire and the clay should not be in direct contact because they have different thermal expansion coefficients. Depends how rigid your wire is if it will lead to major damage to your piece. But if you wrap your wire with paper before you put clay around it it is probably OK as long as you don't enclose the entire thing with clay into a hollow space. But it also depends on what exactly you are trying to do, e.g. what kind of clay you are using. Mostly people use wire with clay for making beads. If that's what you are doing you can also look up bead making techniques.
