- Q: I have purchased wool rugs which I really like but they have an odour and we have stepped on prickly objects that, when searched for, turn out to be similar to twigs (approx. an inch or more in length) or seeds woven into the wool. The rugs come from a very reputable rug importer that operates in the United States as well as Canada so I'm somewhat surprised at what appears to be poor quality and am considering returning them. Will I find this with all 100% wool handmade rugs? Does cleaning them make any difference?
- these have been made by a craft work shop where the wool has been spun by hand and probably in a workshop in a rural work shop where as it was woven twigs etc have been picked up from the floor it was crafted on the best bet is to wash the rugs if possible if not then contact the rug importer and complain

- Try the dollar store or Big Lot's store. We have the same issue and I put two way carpet tape under the thin throw rugs. You can also use velcro tape with the glue side down, but keep it taped past the area where the door gets opened. I know how you feel and it gets annoying when your throw rugs get dragged because the door catches on it. Hope this will help you.

- If your carpet is just dull from the years of wear (dirt accumulation) you might want to have it professionally cleaned. The machines they use are a LOT more powerful at removing set in dirt than any rental or home use machine could be, but if your carpet is faded from sun exposure there's nothing really you can do. When the color is gone, it's gone and you might want to look into replacing the carpet.

- You need to buy a rug pad. It's a piece of rubber like fabric that goes under your rug and prevents the rug from moving, bunching or curling on hard floors or carpet. You can get one at Bed Bath and Beyond for like 70-100 bucks... kinda pricey I know, but you may be able to find them cheaper.
- Q: He only poops when the door is open, other than that he uses his littler box. ( little box is cleaned 2 x a day.) He does this even when we wash and bleach the rug. WHY!
