Q: I asked this question earlier, but only got one reply..so I deleted it and decided to ask again. Ok, my husband and I bought a nightclub a year ago. This place belonged to my uncle and he had a painted concrete floor as a dance floor and of course we still do. It use to be a car repair place and a cattle butcher place in the past, so the concrete is old, and has oil on it so the paint comes up not very long after you paint it. So..what are my options? Something relatively cheap to make the dance floor more inviting? I would love to know what to use to make it easier on the legs and easier to clean. Thank you!
Try the hardwood flooring. It's a best way to make a good dance floor. You can laminate it though if you want but I would prefer the hardwood put on. you can make a bit of style with how it appears by having some paintings on it to make it more attractive not just in looks but attractive to dance on. Good luck with the selection. You can check the source below if you want some additional materials for your wonderful decorations and/or renovations.
Q: I have a painted floor over concrete. Want to put a surface down (not tiles). I have looked at peel'n'stick vinyl flooring, vinyl sheeting and have read about lino. What would be a good fix for this area? What can anyone recommend? Eventually the laundry will be rebuilt (5 yrs +)cheers
I highly recommend ALLURE Vinyl Plank Flooring if your painted floor is even enough.
Q: Hi im trying to renovate my bathroom ,but im trying not to put that 1/4 inch cement floor to put the tile on cause its going to be biger than the living room floor is there anything else i can use that can be smaller than 1/4 inch floor board.i know theres like a thin membrain like paper or something ...please help
You can use regular plywood as a sub-floor and it is cheaper.
Q: there is yellowing on my bathroom floor how can i get this up ? what do i buy it might be from the wetness/ rugs
If you think about how you worded your question, it's kinda nasty. Yellowing on the bathroom floor? eeewwww
Q: 1) Ground Floor2) Middle Floor3) Top Floor
Top if young as the noise is less. Bottom if old - no walk up. Middle if poor - noise both ways and should be priced lower...
Q: when turn the control to floor very little comes out,
the control knobs on the dakota,s and all the dodges was bad to strip out and cause that to happen,go to a salvage yard and get another one for it,chances are its just not going far enough to open the vent door to allow the air to come out where it should be coming out,i own an 03 and have had to replace mine once already, try this pull the knob off and look to see if it is stripped out or not then you,ll know if its that part of it,you may wind up replacing the inside control unit also, good luck
Q: We are dealing with bouncy floors in our mobile home. We pulled up carpet and padding and tried to pull up the plywood and it will not come up easy. My husband thinks that the plywood is glued to whatever is under there (after we removed nails etc it won't budge) Is it okay to lay an outdoor grade plywood sheet over the areas and do we lay the new plywood on the exact same spots or stagger them? Also, nails or screws to hold it down? Thanks!!
I just got done replacing floors in a mobile home and you should take up the old floor first, Its got some glue like the other guy said at the floor joist to keep squeaks down and can be ripped up with a crow bar and check the floor joist for rot or your wasting time and money. I took a reciprocating saw and cut around the walls because they do sit on the flooring and is better then having the 3/4 inch gap where it meats what you did not change. After a few swear words and some sweat you will be glad and think about it, If you leave rotted wood under new wood some where down the road it will buck what you put down. good luck..
Q: Tare out old floor and toilet and and llay the tile how much
It depends what area of the country you are in to figure labor, and what type of floor is existing. I am in the south (Texas - cheap labor) and I pay $60 for a toilet/removal and install, $2.50 per s.f. on the tile install and depending on the existing floor it should be another $60-$120 or so. I would guess labor to be around $350-$450, excluding materials.
Q: ...or instead of just the floor, the whole dorm.1) Which floor/dorm is the best if you want to be able to get work done and sleep without trouble?2) Are any of these floors/dorms boring? Are the people on these floors better behaved than other floors?3) What are these floors/dorms like? Are honors dorms similar to any of these?4) Have you ever been in these dorms? Would you recommend it? I'm gonna be a junior in hs so i have time but i was just wondering. I'm not an outgoing, party-er. I want to have a life and make friends but I want to be on top of my studies and avoid trouble. You know, having the option of a good night sleep too. Would I not get a fun college experience in any of these floors/dorms? I still want to have crazy college stories to remember once I graduate!
1) obviously the quiet floor is best for doing work and sleeping with little trouble. However its easier to get into trouble if you decide to have a fun time in your room. 2) in college, you get really lucky if you have a well behaved floor, or even luckier if the floor above you is good. There will always be discrepancies with the cheerleaders upstairs yelling and stomping around and the jocks next door who drink a case every night. However! I would say that single sex floors (if you're a girl) are known to be kinda catty and not fun to be on. Women are mean, they talk behind each others back, and they do passive aggressive crap to one another instead of just coming out and trying to fix a problem. I would try to get floor that has both genders on it, that gets rid of some of the catty tension and guys are usually more fun to be around. 3) Most dorms and floors are the same on every campus with the exception of furniture and size. 4) I have lived in dorms before and it can be lots of fun. It can also be kinda crappy. It all depends on who you room with and who is rooming around you. I would say your best bet is a mixed gender dorm or floor. All dorms have quiet hours, they usually start around 10 p.m. and if you have a good RA you'll have no problems with annoying, loud, or rude roommates or floormates.
Q: 500 ml of floor oil can be used as many square meters
This depends on what brand you use, I used the use of the vine, you can use 200 square meters
