Q:My Kirby has a buffer attachment, can I use it on my laminate floor to re move scuff marks?: Are the scuff marks from shoes ? if they are you could rub these off with your foot just wear a proper pair of shoes and press your foot on the scuff then drag your foot backwards across the scuff if it is rubber this will then roll into little balls of rubber and you can just pick it up, if you really want to buff the floor then lightly buff it going left to right in a sweeping motion, don't overdo the action as you could get a ( what they call a sea side effect ) it makes wavy lines across the floor and when people walk over it it makes them feel seasick. so just make sure you do straight lines.

While at the store, get a kit used to fill in cracks that match your flooring. Carefully, cut in the middle of the chipped board and remove it, don't rush, you don't what to make a bigger mess. You are going to try to make the new board fit into the old space. You may need to shave one of the edges to make it fit. Each board has a male and female side, trim the male side, take your time. I can be done.

Perhaps you're already doing the following, but if not, these are things that helped me... When our dogs come in, and if it's been wet out, we have an old towel to dry off their feet. If there feet are muddy, we have a warm wet rag to clean off the mud, and then we dry their feet. We have the towel and/or rag waiting at the front door. The kids...eat only at the table. Spills made by anyone are wiped up immediately. No shoes in the house. Vacuum the floors every/every other day. I wash my floors every 4-7 days. I wash all my floors on my hands and knees with a rag, and liquid cleaner, added to hot water. This is the the best way to get your floors clean. Good luck to you!

They may look good at first but leave residue that will eventually make the floor very dull and filmy. Many people have trouble eliminating streaks when cleaning Pergo. The only way to get rid of all the streaks is to dry the floor after cleaning. Using very hot water also will aid in streak control.
