- Q: Hi, I might be installing a floating floor that uses plastic connectors to join each plank. They lock together great, however I can still feel the separation between each plank. Can I add clear lacquer to the floor after it is completely installed to give it a uniform feel?
- I would not recommend doing so as it would automatically void the given warranty of your floors. I am assuming these are laminate floors? Some factors you may also want to consider is that it could be the floors are designed to be beveled. You might also want to check your subfloor for any unevenness.
- Q: right now we have a concrete painted floor in our basement and i hate it, the paint always chips. does anyone know what we can do with the floor?
- peel and stick vinyl tiles stands out as the least confusing. they arrive in 1ft by way of 1ft squares and you the two glue them down or you peel the paper backing off of them and that they are self-adhesive. because of fact they're in 1x1 feet squares that's going to be person-friendly to handle the unusual shape of the room for the reason which you could decrease them to in high quality condition and that they are small and person-friendly to look after. you will get them at HomeDepot, Lowes, etc. they can assist you out. they're probalby the main inexpensive issues too.
- Q: I want to put down peel/stick vinyl tiles in my kitchen and bathroom. Both rooms have Vinyl flooring now and it's not damaged in anyway I just hate the colors. Can I put the peel/stick tiles on top of the existing floor or do I have to pull it up? Also should I use some sort of glue to add extra holding and will this kind of floor last or will it start peeling up in a few months?
- If you do not put it down correctly/perfectly, yes, it will start peeling up at the corners relatively soon. While you may be tempted to lay it down on top of the vinyl flooring you already have, this will ensure a weak bond and create two failure points - the adhesive on the new tile, or the adhesive on the old vinyl. If you can stomach the extra work, pulling up the old vinyl is the only way to make the new stuff last. For a very small investment of around $30 you can pick up a flooring book at your local hardware store. When you consider the time, effort and money involved in home rennovations, these books are invaluable. Good luck!
- Q: Hi!When we use floor(a) in MatLab, it's returned the biggest integer smaller than a.But when we type "floor a" or any other letter without parenthesys, another crazy integer is returned. Try "floor z", "floor r", etc., and you'll see. What does this integer mean?
- floor rounds a value down if you have a value of 3.6 for instance, floor of that value would return 3 an integer is a whole number i.e. 7 or 9 or 216 a real number is a number with a decimal afterwards i.e. 4.76 is a real number
- Q: What is the difference between conductive flooring and antistatic flooring?
- Now on the market mainstream is called anti-static floor, conductive floor more anti-static floor is a nature. Recommended anti-static floor with the sea!
- Q: Sticky items do not accidentally spilled on the point of some, to remove a part, but not all the hunger top view hired Zaozui who Hai Ji Li, hope to have a reasonable way, try not to use chemical items, thank you! More
- Do not use chemicals to choke, or in accordance with the practice of the third floor of it
- Q: They arent wood floor they are really tile either. They are like that cement almost. Everyone elses are super shiny but not mine. I want my floors to look clean.. And shine. Any idea's?
- Ammonia is the final save it diluted to lessen fumes and open all domicile windows and turn on the followers. try this quite a few situations and additionally you're able to desire to have your wax bumped off with out injury to the animals.
- Q: 3dmax how to change the direction of the floor grain
- Add a -UVW texture modifier to your floor in the modifier, then point the UVW map modifier, rotate it with the rotary tool, and remember to turn into the U Sub-level inside to go, otherwise the whole floor will rotate!
- Q: how to prove that floor(-x) = -ceiling(x) and that -floor(x) = ceiling(-x) show steps
- Let x= k+p where k is an integer and 0<=p<1 (obviously k is first integer less than x) floor(-x)=floor(-k-p) and since k or -k is an integer we can take it out of floor(or ceiling) floor(-x)=-k +floor(-p) floor(-p)=-1 when -1<-p<0 and floor(-p)=0 when p=0 -ceiling(x)=-ceiling(k+p)=-k - ceiling(p) ceiling(p)=1 when 0<p<1 and ceiling(p)=0 when p=0 then floor(-p)=-ceiling(p) thus we proved floor(-x)=-ceiling(x) ceiling(-x)=celing(-k-p)= -k + celing(-p) ceiling(-p)=0 when -1<-p<=0 -floor(x)=-floor(k+p)=-k - floor(p) -floor(p)=0 when 0<=p<1 then ceiling(-p)=-floor(p) thus we proved ceiling(-x)=-floor(x)
- Q: Would it be awkward to have tile on both the floor & counter top? We have white cabinets, stainless steel appliances & I want medium brown floors & counter tops...would this be weird?
- Not weird at all, its all in the look you like. They make many tiles called modular tiles that come both in 2 sizes , a big tile and a smaller tile. For example a 12x12 and a 6x6 tile, These work for a floor / wall combination just as your doing.Or you can do a solid surface counter top and a smaller tile on the back splash to go with the floor tile. You don t have to do it that way but they should obviously compliment each other. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
