The characteristics of:
- flat style seat
The traditional control valve often pass after washing due to foreign objects such as stone, wood, cement, paper, and other debris deposited on the valve at the end of the groove. Close but not close easily lead to the formation of Water Leakage phenomenon, the lower part of the soft sealing gate valve with water using the same flat design, easy to siltation caused by debris, the fluid unimpeded.
And the overall package glue
The valve plate is made of high-quality rubber overall, the outsourcing of plastic, making the domestic first-class rubber vulcanization vulcanization after the valve plate to ensure accurate geometry, and the rubber and ductile iron gate is connected firmly, not easy to fall off and good elastic memory.
And corrosion resistance
The valve body adopts epoxy coating powder, can prevent the corrosion and rust, and can be used for sewage systems.
And not easy to break
Traditional cast iron garden gate often hit foreign objects, collision or overlap caused by the fracture phenomenon. Because the valve to switch to ductile iron, this is the case already significantly reduced.
Three "O" ring seal
As the valve stem with three "0" ring ring seal design, can reduce friction when the switch is greatly reduced, Water Leakage phenomenon and can cut off the water supply construction not replace sealing ring.
And help to drink
Due to the internal body to non-toxic epoxy resin coating, gate of the inner and outer surfaces are completely coated with rubber and can not rust or corrosion of water available to drink.
- Casting valve
Valve body casting, precise geometry makes the body without any internal finishing to ensure that the valve seal.
And light weight
The valve is made of ductile cast, lighter in weight than conventional gate weight about 20%-30%. Convenient installation and repair.

- Q: so, im a day away from getting a 2002 748 and im super excited, iv always wanted a ducati, and i cant wait to have one of my own. i understand that ducks have a reputation of breaking and im prepared for it. I also understand the valves need to be adjusted every 50-100 feet :P all kidding aside i know every 6k miles they need to be adjusted. i dont know however how much it costs to have the valves adjusted. im sure it varys from shop to shop but a ball park quote would be really helpful just so its not a kick in the gut when i take it in for the first time. thanks
- Well first, you need to get them inspected, and they'll only adjust the valves if it's needed, even at 6k mile intervals, if your valves are still in spec or very close without lobe drag, they probably won't be changed, so check your bill and ask your tech directly if they were changed, some less reputable dealers may try to pull a fast one on you. If you actually needed ALL 16 shims changed, you're easily talking $1000 in labor, esp. on the 748/916 style heads, which have access ports on the heads instead of being able to remove the whole top of the heads like the newer DESMOQUATTRO heads, and are a PITA to work on because of it. The bad thing is that until recently (and they still need improvement) Ducati's quality control is lower than other manufacturers, meaning very inconsistent performance reliability, just from variances in manufacturing. If you get a GOOD tech to do the bike right in the first place though, not just valves but all-important TPS resetting, cam timing/belt tension, and balanced CO's in your exhaust, you will have a lot less headaches with your Duc.
- Q: the air valve, how does it propel a paintball in a blowback operated paintball gun how does the size/shape/?? of the valve impact how fast the paintball shoots?
- The majority of blowback paintball guns use a pin valve, which is opened when struck by the hammer. The hammer is held in the back position, with the spring compressed, by a sear. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer is propelled forward by the spring, into the valve. These sorts of markers generally use a “stacked tube” design, in which the valve and hammer is contained in the lower tube, while the bolt, which is connected to the hammer, is in the upper tube. The gas released by the valve is then simultaneously channeled up to the bolt to fire the paintball, and back to push the hammer back into the ****** position (hence the name “blowback”). Poppet valves are usually easy to replace and require little, if any, maintenance. The downside to this design, however, is its high operating pressure, which leads to a larger recoil and arguably less accuracy. The valve is usually designed to accommodate a specific operating pressure. Low pressure valves provide quieter operation and increased gas efficiency when tuned properly. However, excessively low pressure can decrease gas efficiency as dramatically as excessively high pressure. The volume of gas released by the valve directly affects the paintball's velocity. The velocity adjuster alters the pretension on the hammer spring which controls how long the pin valve is held open for, or more correctly how much gas must be released to push it back into the ****** position. EDIT - Sorry but wouldn't even know where to start on designing a valve.
- Q: if i put a power valve on my honda xlr 125 would it make my bike have faster acceleration
- Does not apply to 4 stroke motors.
- Q: My third valve is always sticking, despite the fact that I oil them thoroughly every other day. It scrapes the sides of the case when I take it out/put it in, it's almost as if the valve is too big for it. Often times it will stick and I'll have to unscrew it and physically pull it out for it to be functional again.I've inspected it, and the inside looks just like the others which are fine. I've tried washing it, oiling it, and putting a trace amount of vaseline on it. What is the problem?
- Have you tried cleaning the valve casing (what the valve moves in)? If not, you can use a clean cloth that won't leave fibers in there, or a valve casing brush (couple dollars at the music store) to clean the inside. Many times dirt builds up at the bottom of the valve casing where it's supposed to and the valve eventually gets stuck in it. Also, like the poster above said, the plastic/metal guide could be getting caught. You can use slide grease to lubricate the slot in the top part of the valve (not the casing) where the guide moves. Just don't get any on the piston part of the valve. If all else fails, it is possible that the valve was not honed correctly at the factory and a professional will need to fix it.
- Q: adjusting the overhead valves on briggs and stranton 14.5 engine
- Roll the engine over until the valve is completely closed. You can do this by watching the valve close, then turn the engine over until it just strats to raise. Now turn it back half way. Now losen the rocker arm and place a .003mm to .005mm filler gage between the push rod and the rocker. Tighten the rocker arm nut down so that the filler gage pulls out with a light drag. Do this with the other rocker and you are good to go.
- Q: My 3rd valve keeps getting stuck when i play it, i have valve oil, but its just not working, help please
- There are several possibilities. You may have buildup on either the valve or the casing. Cleaning it thoroughly should normally remove it, but every once in a Blue Moon it pays to take it in and have it professionally cleaned. They can inspect it at the same time and tell you if you have a bend or a ding in the casing. Sometimes they are really hard to spot, especially if they are hidden in one of the crevices of the detail work. A really good repair person can stick a scope down there and tell you if you have some kind of blockage in just a few minutes. The only way to really clean inside the casing yourself is to get a good bottle brush that fits inside with just a little bit of resistance. You should really get someone to show you how to do it the first time because you don't want to go scraping up the insides. There is one other possibility that is kind of rare. Sometimes you get some gunk up under the valve button and it sticks when you push it down. You should normally be able to see this just by looking underneath however. Best of luck and I hope you find your sticking point and are able to set it free.
- Q: I been playing the trombone for 6 years, do you think i could learn to play the baritone easily, which baritone is easier,3 valve or 4 valve.
- The forth valve on the baritone is the same as the trigger on a trombone - it lowers the pitch 2 1/2 tones to extend the range downward, to assist in improving intonation, and to solve so tricky fingering problems. You can learn baritone quite easy, if you relate what you know on the trombone to it. Here is a quick lesson on valve playing. Trombone position Baritone valves 1 Open 2 2 3 1 4 1 2 5 2 3 6 1 3 7 1, 2 3 Trigger 4 On high F#, you must play 2 3 On High G, you must play 1 2 Good Luck! It is a great and wonderful instrument to learn, and will help you trombone playing, too!
- Q: what exactly causes a valve to stretch?
- It is probably a combination of the above answers, plus heat. I would think heat is the primary cause of the stretch. As you know metal expands, when it gets hot. It will also shrink when cooled. There is probably a point where they will only shrink back to a certain spot and still remain in the stretched position.
- Q: What are Atrial valves??
- there isn't a sinoatrial valve in the human heart. There are 2 AV (atrioventricular) valves, and 2 semilunar valves, which are the aortic valve, and pulmonary valve. The AV valve seperate the atrium (on top) and ventricle (on bottom). Blood flows down from the atrium, to the ventricle, and then the AV valve closes to keep blood from going back into the atrium. While the valve is closed, the ventricle contracts, which send blood up through, the aorta ( left side) or the pulmonary trunk(right side). The semilunar valves seperate the ventricles from the aorta and the pulmonary trunk.
- Q: My furnace cut out about a year ago. The hvac guy i used told me the gas valve was no good and that the flu was partially blocked. I cleaned out the flu, he replaced the gas valve ($700+) and it worked great for a year. Today the furnace does not fire up. Pilot is working. I cleaned out the flu (there was definitely quite a bit of debris, so that was probably the cause for the shut off) .... The flu is now clear, but when i turn the system back on the thermostat calls for heat, but there is no gas flow to the burner... could the valve have failed that quick, or should i be looking at something else like the CO sensor or something... just looking for some direction before shelling out another 700 bucks... Thanks in advance for any ideas or assistance....
- There are a few possibilities. The valve runs on a low voltage line. The low voltage is provided by a transformer. It it possible the transformer is bad. Be sure the power switch to the furnace is on. (should be on the side of the furnace. Easy way to check is (on the thermostat) turn the fan switch from auto to run. The blower fan should come on. Check that the gas valve is in the ON position.(if you have had to light the pilot it may still be in pilot position.) Another possibility is a clogged gas line. If you have an older home rust can accumulate inside the iron gas lines. Where the gas line attaches to the furnace there should be a drip leg. This is a short length of pipe that points down with a cap on it from the TEE that goes into the furnace. This short piece of pipe is to catch any moisture or rust that comes thru the line. First TURN OFF the gas at the shut off in the pipe it's self. This is a quarter turn valve. When the handle is in line with the pipe the gas is on. When it is opposite the pipe (pointing out to the side) the gas is off. After turning the gas off, remove the cap from the bottom of the drip leg to remove any accumulation.USE PIPE DOPE not teflon tape when putting the cap back on.Turn the gas valve back on and check for leaks.
