Q: We are having our bathroom remodeled at our apartment and while demolishing the walls and ceiling, powder like cement dusts have entered the walk-in closet and landed on our clothes. It looks as if we had a dust storm. Is it okay to just shake off the dusts and re-hang 'em? or do I need to wash them? The apartment is probably like more than 60 years old. I have no idea what they put in cements back in the days. :-(
I would take them down from the hangers, shake off as much of the dust as you can then run them through the dryer on a fluff dry without heat. If any dust then remains on your clothes you may have to re wash them. The cement dust will not be harmful unless you breath in a lot of it.
Q: im trying to add a receptacle to my kitchen island. i want to run the wiring under the cement. what other step i need to do like what do i need to use to cut that cement how can i pull that cement i cut up please help me thanks
I agree with both your answers so far! But what about coming down from the ceiling? Are there cabinets above this island? Could you install decorative posts down to the island and then possibly install your receptacle in that?
Q: tomorow we have an activity onquot;how to mix concretequot;in the mix is: cement, sand, gravel and water..we need to know the ratio of this 4 factorsbecause the usual mix that we know isone bag of cement is to 2 cubic foot of sand and gravel...but the question is if wer going to use only 15% of cementwats the ratio with regards to gravel and sand and water
try okorder sometimes I ask math questions there
Q: what are the best roller derby wheels for cement?
it depends....is the cement painted or polished? is it usually dirty? these can make it much more slippery than it would be if it is none of these. I skate on a polished cement track which was covered in epoxy and is super slippery. I use Sugar hybrid wheels because they are super grippy. If the cement isn't polished you should probably use harder wheels.
Q: I just bought this model and it's my first one doing it lol I was just curious that if after I painted one part and went to glue another onto the painted plastic, will it stick? Or will something else bad happen, or will it be perfectly fine? I just don't want to ruin it =( The glue I have is Testors Cement for Plastic Models and the paint is also Testors Enamel paint.
No it will not stick, the plastic cement will not melt the painted surface - what you need to do is to remove the painted area where the parts are to be glued and stuck together. The glue you have is designed to melt the surface of the plastic and then when stuck together , the melted/dissolved plastic area will bond together and when it dries, will form a firm bond To remove the paint, you can use an emery board or a curved hobby blade and scrape away the painted area. Good Luck, have fun and I hope you finish up with a top looking model Cheers
Q: It is for 3 posts for a small fence/barrier
THE CEMENT WILL SET UP--BUT NOT BE AS STRONG AS CONCRETE-BECAUSE IT DOESNT HAVE SAND AND GRAVEL--IT WILL CRACK AND THE POST WILL BECOME LOOSE-- IF THERE IS NO WEIGHT PUSHING ON THE FENCE--IT WILL PROBABLY BE ALL RIGHT
Q: I am building a box in the ground and need it water-proof.Whats the best mixure cement/sand, or should I use concrete? What differs cement/concrete? And how do you make it strong from cracking without steel enforcement?
About the only suggestions I can give you is to put a descent amount of granite gravel in with the cement and to mix it a little on the dry side. If you notice, old concrete from around the 1940's and earlier tends to hold up better than newer concrete. If you look at the old concrete in relation to new concrete it has larger gravel in it and it has more granite gravel in it. You don't want to put gravel such as limestone in it. Limestone will cause the concrete to break up during winter. A trick I learned off of a friend of mine who worked for a concrete company is to mix concrete on the dry side. A dryer concrete mix instead of a soupy one will tend to be stronger and last longer.
Q: Brick factory construction period to buy the building materials (no inventory, purchase directly with, including cement, steel, red brick, etc.), to pay the construction of the bite for the shame of the peacock spring pseudo-sickle fee (including the artificial materials, ), Land rental rent, resource tax, arable land occupation tax, stamp duty, wages, electrical equipment, purchase forklift forklift, digging machine forklift plus diesel fuel, blasting costs, building materials and freight, rent office, purchase Office furniture, staff wages, the purchase of "screw. Welding. Drill. Wire. Wire. Taps. Wood. Meter" and other small tools of these expenditures, the "construction in progress" subjects set what the name of the secondary subjects as well, Or what other subjects? How to distinguish the details of the details of the details of some of the Oh, thank you, or more detailed advice.
If it is the outsourcing of the enterprise infrastructure projects, it is recommended to set up "construction in progress" accounting subjects
Q: much does 1 cubic foot of portland cement weight in water?
portland cement has a density of 1506 kg/m? 1 ft? = 0.0283 m? that is dry cement, not setup. You didn't specify if it is dry or setup. mass = 1506 kg/m? x 0.0283 m? = 42.6 kg The displaced water weighs: density of water at 20C = 0.998 g/cm? = 998 kg/m? 998 kg/m? x 0.0283 m? = 28.2 kg subtracting, we get 42.6–28.2 = 14.4 kg, or 31.7 lbs. .
Q: I recently had my braces removed and while looking in the mirror at my teeth, I noticed black discoloration on several teeth. Is this a common color of the adhesive they use or did my teeth somehow get massive cavities?
Orthodontic cement is clear hen they out it on and sort of whitish when it dries. So I have no idea what's on your teeth.
