There are two kind of AR glass fiber, one is Pre – mixed Fiberglass Chopped Strand, the other one is Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands.
(1) Pre – mixed Fiberglass Chopped Strand
Properties of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
It has excellent properties with alkali resistance, stiffness, bundle – state, ageing – proof, Mixed 20 minutes in cement at 50rpm,it can still keep good bundle state, it won’t dispersed to filament.
Purpose of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
It is a high integrity AR Glass Fiber Chopped Strands designed for use in the reinforcement of concrete, renders and mortars. It may be added to conventional mixes either on site or by prepending with other dry mix components. The low – tex strands permits efficient reinforcement at low dosages. They are particularly suited to the modification of standard concrete mixes for floor screeds and slabs,and for the preparation of prebagged mixes of special mortars and renders.

Properties of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
AR Glassfiber Applied with water – dispersed size, the strands will disperse well to filaments in water in 10 seconds, and also disperse fast, usage amount less, enlarge strength.
Purpose of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:
It is typically used at a low level of addition to prevent cracking and improve the performance of ready mix concrete, floor screeds, renders or the special mortar mixes.it can be used for surface crack – proof of GRC products.

- Q:There is water that seeps in when it rains hard near a pipe where the city water comes in. I already tried to use quot;Great Stuffquot; around the pipe and it didn't work. Do I just put hydraulic cement in the area around the pipe area, or do I have to do the whole wall? (Can you tell I'm a new homeowner?)
- Hydraulic cement is simply any portland based cement product that hardens when mixed with water. it is not necessarily waterproof just because it has the word hydraulic in its name. You should use an expanding waterproof epoxy grout for his purpose. It is available anywhere building products are sold. Follow container instructions. Work quickly. Most of these products harden in 10 or 15 minutes. As recommended by others here, make sure first that rainwater is being directed away from your foundation.

- A driveway doesn't have to be perfectly level. If you get a machine sander from a hireall place and powderize the cement in the stained areas to the depth of the stain, you should be able to literally blow it away, then reset new cement in that area if neccessary. Also, you can use cement a bit like the white out paste used in the stationary world, let it set, and you're all good. Which option you take depends on how perfect you want your driveway to look.
- Q:I need the type of soil and general specification
- You need to have a soil type that has the consistency of sand. Anything dry and grainy... Stay away from clayish substances where the soil tends to stick together because the cement cannot go through them. Usually the ratio I can give for a good building block is about 6 parts of sand, 2 parts cement and 1 part of water (or less depending on the consistency). It should feel like the consistency where it can be easily molded but not soggier than brownies. Use portland cement...
- Q:what is the ratio for the cement to install cement block; sand, cement . and mortor creme?
- There is a difference in the sand for motar that the sand you use for pouring cement such as a slab. The motar sand is very, very fine and for the cement you can just use builders sand. I recommend a 3 to 1 mixture. Not sure what you mean by motar creme unless you are referring to a latex additive. I would absolutely recommend using the additive, it makes the motar more of an adhesive and also makes it repel moisture so it will last years longer especially in colder climates.

- Due to the pumice used, Ancient Roman concrete was a hydraulic cement and those structures are still standing. Ancient Chinese concrete was also a hydraulic cement due to the sticky rice used and those structures are proving difficult to demolish with modern equipment plus the sticky rice makes them ductile so they flex with Earthquakes. Ancient Chinese ships often used cement to strengthen wood which may be why they are reported to have made wooden ships as large as 400 feet long when the longest relatively modern wooden ship in the west was about 200 feet and required iron bracing. The BP well that leaked in the Gulf was finally sealed with hydraulic cement. Make sure you know how to prepare and cure the cement properly.

- The cement will probably dissolve the paint and you'll get a messy joint. Scrape the paint away at the places you want to glue.
- Q:Okay, I made a boo boo and drove into a short brick wall (decorative) next to my driveway. I knocked a chunk of about 4 bricks off and now I want to simply stick them back on for as little as possible (labor and cost). - cement is your best answer. Mortar to be exact. Anything else is a poor substitution to the right product for the job
- Q:how do you prepare cement with exposed aggregates
- Finish the same as a regular slab and when it has started to set pour water on it and use a stiff brush or broom to remove the top layer of cement. Then wash off good.
- Q:It was fine for the first 4 winters and then we had a real hard freeze that lasted for a few weeks, the fish survived but the pond leaks now. I tried draining it and patching but it didn't hold. Is there a simple solution?
- If you cant see where the pond is leaking, the easy way to fix it would be to a plastic liner inside the concrete pond. You can either buy a flat sheet and try and fit it to the shape of the pond yourself, or you can have something custom made. Either way it wont leak or crack when frozen.
