Introduction of AR Glass Fiber Chopped Strand- Zirconia 14.5%:
There are two kind of AR glass fiber, one is  Pre – mixed Fiberglass Chopped Strand, the other one is Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands.

(1)   Pre – mixed Fiberglass Chopped Strand

Properties of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:

It has excellent properties with alkali resistance, stiffness, bundle – state, ageing – proof, Mixed 20 minutes in cement at 50rpm,it can still keep good bundle state, it won’t dispersed to filament.

Purpose of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:

It is a high integrity AR Glass Fiber Chopped Strands designed for use in the reinforcement of concrete, renders and mortars. It may be added to conventional mixes either on site or by prepending with other dry mix components. The low – tex strands permits efficient reinforcement at low dosages. They are particularly suited to the modification of standard concrete mixes for floor screeds and slabs, and for the preparation of prebagged mixes of special mortars and renders.

(2)   Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands

Properties of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:

AR Glassfiber Applied with water – dispersed size, the strands will disperse well to filaments in water in 10 seconds, and also disperse fast, usage amount less, enlarge strength.

Purpose of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:

It is typically used at a low level of addition to prevent cracking and improve the performance of ready mix concrete, floor screeds, renders or the special mortar mixes.it can be used for surface crack – proof of GRC products.

Applications of Water – dispersed Fiberglass Chopped Strands:

Applying for Fiberglass Reinforced Cement/Concrete.Alkali resistant, excellent integrated with cement, dispersibility.

Q: Current rates for cement, steels, tiles, workers fee?
sophisticated thing lookup at yahoo and bing that can help
Q: My basement shower is basically just a cement slab with a drain and fiberglass walls. What's a rough ballpark cost estimate to tear out the cement shower and replace it with a modern glass stall and/or a tile shower?
800.00 to skys the limit thats a pre engineered pre fab glass enclosure installed
Q: The walls behind my tub have rotted out, and I want to put it tile. I hear that you have to use cement backerboard because greenboard will just rot behind the tile. But all the stores around here don't sell it. I don't get it. Is this really what I need?
Obviously the 1st poster isn t a tiler. For the best protection ( after you fix the rotting if need be) use a green board and then a vapor barrier and then cement board 1/2 thick. Grout IS NOTTT water proof , its a cement product and will draw moisture thru to the underlaying board and rot plaster board or green board ventually. Look around you ll find the cement board somewhere . You ll need a special trim to cover but thats the best way. Sometimes you can t get the trim so you ll have to recess the barrier and board and then use a surface trim. Any question e mail me thru me avatar and check my qualifications there GL
Q: It has four cement walls but the bad thing is there is a water pump in the pit, so area is limited inside, like an area 5X5, and it has the floor of the house as it's quot;coverquot;.
If it's the only spot you have to go, I guess it will have to do. The problem is that your floor is the roof to your hide out. The tornado could lift the flooring since it wouldn't be cement but rather wood, correct? Unless you have a house built differently than everyone else. If you live in an area prone to tornados or are petrified of them (like me)...get yourself somewhere better to hide. What about creating your own dugout in the ground next to your house or getting one of those tornado shelters put into your house. I saw them on tv, they are all cement with a really strong metal-type door. Saw this guy's house ripped apart but he survived cause he was inside. INCREDIBLE.
Q: I just bought this model and it's my first one doing it lol I was just curious that if after I painted one part and went to glue another onto the painted plastic, will it stick? Or will something else bad happen, or will it be perfectly fine? I just don't want to ruin it =( The glue I have is Testors Cement for Plastic Models and the paint is also Testors Enamel paint.
No it will not stick, the plastic cement will not melt the painted surface - what you need to do is to remove the painted area where the parts are to be glued and stuck together. The glue you have is designed to melt the surface of the plastic and then when stuck together , the melted/dissolved plastic area will bond together and when it dries, will form a firm bond To remove the paint, you can use an emery board or a curved hobby blade and scrape away the painted area. Good Luck, have fun and I hope you finish up with a top looking model Cheers
Q: I just got a house built in the 1950's. I had a new washer/dryer installed and set up in the basement. When I ran the washer last night everything was running fine but when I looked in my backyard there was a lot of water gushing out of some kind of cement square in my patio in the backyard. It seems like this cement square can be lifted but I couldn't lift it to see what's going on in there. Any ideas?
The cement square could be covering a drain cover which could be blocked lift block and check drain
Q: My parents have a family of life size cement deer that they want me to bronze. They figured I could find instructions on the internet but so far I'm not having a lot of luck. Does anyone know of a resource that can help me out? (I'm used to painting ceramics but never a bronze finish before -- and never anything that big!)
There are various paints that might be used. However cement can be a problem when it comes to paint, because it is acidic. There is process called acid washing or maybe it's acid staining a process for applying color to existing cement ,primarily floors, that you might look into. Google cement colorants, cement stains etc. Most of the information available on the net applies to industrial application, floor coloring ,architectural applications. Working with cement can be hard on the hands so use some rubber gloves.
Q: It is for 3 posts for a small fence/barrier
cement and sand or just cement powder? cement and sand will have the same strength as concrete...gravel is added as an economic filler...
Q: What are the requirements for the strength grade of ordinary concrete structures
Cement is a hydraulic cementitious material, according to the provisions of the amount of water and mix well with the slurry, wrapped with fine particles all the surface and fine voids constitute mortar, mortar wrapped with coarse particles all the surface and the gap constitutes a concrete, cement and water to be combined The formation of crystalline calcium silicate, cement hydration all completed the day, that is, when the concrete to meet the expected strength of the time
Q: is duco cement good for crafts. I'm building a bridge and weight is going to be on it so if i use duco cement will the bridge be strong? the bridge has to hold 1,000 pounds at least and the pressure is going to be different on each beam.
I would avoid cements as often as possible because they're not good for lungs and also won't be flexible when dry... and may not be as strong as you want for some situations. Not many glues would be good for a thousand pounds of weight, though of course that would depend a lot too on the exact structure of the bridge --some would require no glue at all. You also don't say what *kind of materials* you'll be using and various adhesives are better for different materials as well. I think you'll want to look into other things besides glues for holding 1000 lbs, but the strongest glues I know of would be the polyurethane glues like Gorilla Glue, etc, which is even used for concrete. GG has to be clamped or weighted while curing though since it will swell and extrude out at the beginning, but some of the later brands of polyurethane glue may do that less. I think you'd be better off asking this in an engineering or construction category than in the hobbies category ...there's probably something like that here at YA. HTH, Diane B.
