- multiply 18x19 =342 sq'. Then divide that by 9 (the number of sq' in a sq' yard) =38 yards. 38 x $27.77= $1055.26. + $175.00 =1230.26 The carpet folks may say you need a bit more carpet depending on which direction they can run it in the room, matching carpet patterns, and width of carpeting, etc.

- To remove nail polish from carpets, nail polish remover will work but you need to USE CAUTION because it can also remove dye from your carpet or upholstery. Also you can try bleach but only if you have a white carpet. On light colored carpet it might not be noticeable but on darker colors. TEST FIRST! Otherwise, a little nail polish will be the least of your worries. How about having to replace a whole roomful of carpet or trying to match the carpet color to dye one patch? For carpet, always test any kind of chemical stain remover/cleaner in an out of the way place like a corner. Under a cushion might be a good spot for upholstery.

- If you are using stretch carpet, nail a tack strip to the floor about 1/2 back from the tile, cut the carpet to the tile, then stretch it over the tack strip and fold it down along the tile. - you could use bleach but that would just stain the rug. if the spot has dried,wet the spot slightly then pour some bicarbonate of soda down.leave for a while (over night or a few hrs) that will draw the smell out. brush the soda of once you've left it for a while. then clean it with a anti bac carpet cleaner and pat dry.if its small enough you could put it in the washing machine. if the smell is still lingering coffee is good for removing smells. put in down dry on dry fabrics leave again for a while then hover off,you might have to do this a few times,but it should work! hope that helps xxxx

- Jeff, I had the same problem you have encountered with your carpets and rugs. Rugs walk all over the floor and curl and the corners and edges, causing people to trip. - We bought a house that was completely horrible with cat pee.the only way to get the smell out(And I tried everything) Was to get rid of the carpet and paint the floor underneath with pro blocker(oil based paint from Sherman Williams) You have to use the oil based the other did not work.I used 2 coats on the floor and put down new carpet and can't smell a thing anymore.
