- Q: I have been looking for homes to buy and I have never heard of this before. I am geussing that it is a vacuum that is centrally located in the house...not sure. Is that just stupid? Anyways, would really like to know. Thanks
- Simply insert the lightweight hose into a wall inlet. Powerful cleaning suction begins immediately. Remove the hose and the system shuts off. Best of all, there’s no cumbersome vacuum cleaner to lug from room to room or up and down stairs. Central vacuum systems totally eliminate the re-circulation of dirty air inside your living area. With 3-5 times more cleaning power than most portable vacuum cleaners you get a superior clean in less time. Since the central vacuum is located in the garage or basement, it can have bigger heavier motors.
- Q: I essentially am looking for a carpet/floor upright vaccum cleaner. I was looking around in stores and found a lot of choice however. I notieced the following things about various brands.1. Bissell = Seems to be the cheapest and offers more features for it's price but looks kind of flimsy. Is this a good brand. Offers 1 yr warranty.2. Dirt devel = Cost a little more and looks better. Offers 2 yr warranty?3. Hoover = I know this is a well known brand but all I was able to see was the steamvacs. My mom had one and it's about 4 yrs old. Its very good still cleans up.Also I noticed Canaster Vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages of these? What is the purpose of having a canaster? I just don't want to get a habbit of purchasing a vacuum every 1 year because it breaks....
- It depends on how much you are willing to spend. I have a Rainbow and it's the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. It is bagless, the dirt from the floors goes into a container you put water in and trust me, it pulls things out of my carpet that I didn't know were there. An added bonus is you can add air freshners to the water and it makes your house smell so good after vacuuming. It is of the cannister type comes with standard attachments. I, like you have pets in the house to me, it is the only way to go. Rainbow's are expensive though but you might luck up and pick up a used one. Good luck in your quest!
- Q: vacuum, air cleaners. Duribilaty, usuages, warrentys, etc.
- They are terribly overrated. I would never put that much money in a vac.
- Q: I have bought 4 vacuum cleaners in the past that all have fallen apart or just quit running right in the middle of using them, and all were less than 6 months old. I got tired of buying high price vacuum cleaners and them not lasting even 90 days. I have bought Hoover, Eureka, Dirt devil, and Phantom vacuums all of them turning out to be what I would say to be large rip offs.
- i've had my shark navigator for over a year and it's just like new. we've 4 long hair rescue cats and the machine's used almost daily somewhere in the house. even gets all the litter up off the tile floor. terrific suckion. great price . can be found at target, walgreen, best buy, online at shark, on tv ads. priced very well and is better at getting job done than my costly dyson animal vac
- Q: We need a really quiet vacuum cleaner that can be operated while meetings are going on. Any suggestions
- The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
- Q: I have bought several vacuum cleaners for wood floor and carpet. But non satisfied me. It seems like I just push the pet hair around the room floor with my vacuum cleaner. Please help me which brand is the best for pet vacuum cleanaer?
- Hi, A friend recently bought a Eureka boss smart vac ultra 4870 and she loves it. She said it was recommended by a leading consumer magazine. It was priced around 150.00 and really cleans carpets. Has hepa filtration, 8 carpet settings, convenient tools and ability to control suction when using tools. Hope this helps.
- Q: My dog likes vacuum cleaners. Whenever I vacuum, he comes over and tries to chew on it. He doesn't really care that its a very strong one either. He doesn't even mind people vacuuming him on the back! He just sits there like he's being brushed. Anyone else have a vacuum loving dog?
- Haha! Yeah, my aunt's dog loves their vacuum, it's almost impossible to vacuum, he'll chase it around and bite it and even bark at it!
- Q: What is the best vacuum to buy when you have dogs. I need something good at picking up dirt and hair. I know a kirby is good but I dont have tht kind of money.
- i was just gunna answer ur ? then i seen the details...lol i was gunna say a kirby.....i have that one it works great and its more than just a vacuum....but other than that i would say one of the ones u see on tv....i had one it worked good but i just dont remember the name of it all i know is its on commercials and with an old guy. haha
- Q: I'm going to college and I have a little apartment by myself with beige carpeting. I don't have a vacuum, but i do have a swivel sweeper. Can I use clean-then-vacuum cleaners? Or isn't it powerful enough? And, if not, what could I use to help keep my carpets cleaner than they currently are?
- Join Freecycle on internet in your area and you can ask if anyone has a vacuum to give or for sale cheap. They always have bargais on there site.
- Q: I'm afraid of spiders, but not arachnophobic (if that's a word). Mainly since there are the brown-recluse spiders so I'm more paranoid it's them in my house.I tried to catch it, but I would probably get yelled at for catching spiders with a plastic bowl and I'm too freaked out to try and catch the speedy little thing. I ended up vacuuming it up with a small vacuum and not sure what to do next. I heard it can escape so I'm not sure if i should carry the vacuum up and see a spider pop out.I'm not a tech-expert, but the vacuum has a plastic container holding all the dust and even the spider. I heard it can live and no bug spray is around the house to kill it. What should I do? I don't want it running around bent on revenge (kidding there, but the presence of spiders still get me.) I need to clean the house too upstairs. Should I keep vacuuming and hope it goes away, empty it asap? (I'll have to reach up into the container though...)
- Arachnophobic, and being afraid of spiders is the same thing. What makes this a baseless and irrational fear, is that there is 'no reason' to fear spiders. Yes, brown recluse spiders do exist. Weather you will ever see one is up to debate. Without knowing where you live, I can't indicate that possibility. The recluse is not really a 'speedy' spider, and people have been known to catch them by hand. (just don't try it) Modern vacuum cleaners have a dirt valve(flap) that would likely keep the spider from escaping, and especially while using it. You should take the vacuum outside to empty it though. While emptying, the only way the spider can bite you is if you grab it or trap it in your hand. I wouldn't worry about the spider, and just go ahead and clean the house. And no, you don't swallow spiders in your sleep.
