- The most common problems people have with their vacuums are: 1. They are too heavy to carry up and down stairs. 2. The attachments get lost. 3. The canister vacuums get tangled and caught on furniture. 4. The cords get in the way and easily fall out of the electrical socket. 5. They are too powerful and suck up bathroom rugs and fringe on rugs, or not enough suction. 6. Hardwood floor attachments only have a small hole in the center instead of the entire width of the attachment. 7. Rug beater (carpet attachments) eat rugs and get hair wrapped around the beater bar. 8. They are too loud. 9. Bags are difficult to find and are expensive. 10. Bagless vacuums are difficult to empty. 11. They start to smell like something is burning. Hope that helps!

- The Majestic by Filter Queen. It filters at .10 of a micron, which is 3 times smaller than HEPA, is actually a type 2 medical device, and is the only vac than can be legally operated in a restaurant while people eat. It also doubles as a 40 lb blower, and if you put it hose to hose with Kirby (the Kirby switched to high even), it will reverse the motor on the Kirby and suck the bag right out of it. It has a metal guard on the in port, so you can suck up a bolt, and entire ashtray of cigarette butts, it does not matter.... it will not clog, it will not break. Best vac ever.

- the rotating brush wont scratch the floor, as in gouges, but the finish that protects the wood will eventually dull because of the slight abrasion of the brush.

- Q: I have two pembroke welsh corgis who shed like crazy and bare floors (no carpet at all). I am looking for a great, affordable vacuum that does not collect hair in the bristles on the bottom of the vacuum but actually sucks it up into the machine. - personally I think its clothing, its either the wrong size color or style no matter how much thought you put into it, but Summer Rain is right on the money about vacuum cleaners too, I do not understand why anyone would buy one of those for a gift for anything other than a bridal shower or a housewarming party I think I would return your gift too, first off because I have no foreskin and second because it sounds like it would be rather painful to use - regifting is always good, and it sounds like you have a taker :)
