- Dont know if this helps but I just saw a news report here in Southern California today where Good Housekeeping tested all the vacuum cleaners and the Hoover Wind Tunnel out performed all , I found that surprising but that's what Good Housekeeping reported .
- Q: Hoover or Kenmore? I say Kenmore, because a gladiator would like greater quality. I have thought Kenmore would be a gladiator's best friend when it comes to vacuuming. I have thought that the guy would go for Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum cleaner to buy and use, instead of a Hoover vacuum cleaner that is made in China or Mexico, for quality reasons. I thought Kenmore would sound more gladiator-like than Hoover. Also because of performance and that a Kenmore would hold up better than any Hoover that is one the market. I would say gladiators in general prefer Kenmore over Hoover for quality, performance, reliability, and ease of use. Because of this. I do think it would be a minority of them that would prefer Hoover than Kenmore.

- Try the Sensor 12, or Sensor 15, German made HEPA vacuum cleaners that trap 99.97 per cent of all the dust/dirt it vacuums up. I bought mine at a janitorial supply store. One is 10 years old and works like new, the other is 1 year old and is left on a job site where it is used 2 hours every day. Wonderful machines. Hospitals, hotels, motels, use this vacuum extensively.
- Q: I would like to use a Dyson floor tool with my central vacuum system. The system uses a hose with a 1 1/4diameter attachement port. Does anyone know what the inside diameter of a Dyson floor attachment tool is? Or if it will ft a standard vacuum hose?
- the Tools from my DC 17 DO fit 1.25 vac hoses but honestly if you are looking for a hard floor tool there are much better ones for cheaper than the Dyson, I would go to your nearest vacuum store and ask about a horsehair floor brush most of them should have one try to get one with a castle cut brush meaning it has small gaps between the brush in the front this will aid in picking up larger particles. If you do decide to go for the dyson one just make sure it's not a canister accesory i know the DC 11s tools are different and don't fit 1.25 hoses

I kept telling him I have been through it already. Three hours later they were leaving!! She apologized. It seems like an amazing vacuum, but a lot of work. In addition to the work it was going to cost me 1900.00! I hear they Dyson (misspelled I am sure) is good. Does anyone know anything about the Dyson?
- DON'T Pay full price for the Kirby! If you really want one, you can haggle them down. You can get them down to 1,100 or less, and if that doesn't work, get a new sales person. Kirby's do last for a very long time.
- Q: I have two upright Vacuum Cleaners, a 1997 Hoover Turbopower 2, and a 1979 Electrolux 502S, and was wondering how long the drive belts usually last ? On the Turbopower, I had to change the original belt about 3 months ago, as it was starting to slip, which means its belt lasted about 14 years. Is that normal ? Or was it incredibly lucky to last so long ?As for the Electrolux, it obviously doesn't have the original belt, and since I only got it 2 days ago, and didn't ask the previous owner when she last changed it, I have no idea how old it is, only that it still works fine.

- Q: It's really a simple engineering principal, four fixed wheels like to go in straight lines. Where as a ball can move it in any direction.So in clear choice, easy turns with minimal efforts, or do it the old fashioned way.It's quite amusing that a vacuum cleaner and its complexities completely destroy Evolution.
