Their new filtration system is more efficient at filtering sand and dust out of the airstream compared to the previous designs, and it uses an extremely aggressive brushroll that will not get hair wrapped around it, and will get deep down sand out of your carpet knap.

It works ok, but if you're going to use it on hard floors it is best just to take the belt off of the damn thing because the stopper isn't an electric switch, but a mechanical gizmo that pulls the belt back so it can't make contact with the motor. When you hit furniture or a wall, it pops back into place. That feature was not very useful and would have been much better if it were an electrical switch. Just remember, more $ doesn't necessiarily mean a better vacuum.
