Q: My daughter has dropped a cup of quot;florida's natural orange juicequot; on the living room rug. Is as if my rug has been bleached.
If it has removed the color, you cannot fix that. Do you happen to have a piece of that rug left over? If so, you can replace the section in your rug that has been damaged by actually carefully cutting out a piece and replacing it with another. If you have some of the rug, just make sure you keep the direction of the pile the same in the piece you insert. I have done this to remove a stain ifrom a new rug and the piece was still there and unnoticeable years later when I sold the house.
Q: What is the name of the mat laid under the office carpet?
There is generally a layer of sponge pad or rubber pad or pearl cotton pad beneath carpet. Diamond carpet does not need a mat uunder it, directly sticked on the ground by glue.
Q: We just rented a house and the carpet has a very powerful urine smell. The landlord said he had the carpet cleaned and won't pay more. Is there a way to remove the smell permently? I don't want to mask the smell. i need a solution that really works and is cheap and effective. I see no visable stains just the super strong odor. I think it is berber carpet
Get a black light to locate the problem areas. But it could be that it was so soaked with urine it went underneath and affected the actual floor. If that's the case it needs to be torn out and replaced. If your landlord refuses I would seek legal advice. Anyway, if you can locate the problem with the black light soak it with a viengar/water solution (50.50 mix) and then sprinkle baking soda on it. Once it dries vacuum it up. That should solve your problem. but like I said, if it's gone through the carpet to the actual flooring you're going have to demand more be done. That's nasty, I hope you're able to get it solved quickly!
Q: I live in Denver, Colorado. What is the average $ amount per yard of carpet for apartment grade carpet? What are some prices? I know they don't all go through the same company, but at about what average price is it sold at per yard for apartments?
Apartment grade carpeting can run as low as a1$ a s/f ( all flooring is sold by the s/f now by law) installation and pad extra, That equals out to about $1.60/1.70 a s/f installed. Very cheap carpeting, usually no warranties etc.. GL
Q: i wana get a russian tortoise can i keep it on carpet in its tort table.
NO it is not good, tortoises can inhale carpet fibers, and that can cause a RI or respiratory infection. Rep ti-bark is a good choice, sand is unsuitable because it is too dry and most tortoises like a more humid environment, also bad for burrowing. I have a russian tortoise ( good job at least someone other than me made a tortoise table! ) and he LOVES rep ti bark, he is around 1 or 2 ( i'm guessing) and when I put him in my house for a walk, he runs away from the carpet. So, no carpet for him because it will cost hundreds of dollars in vet bills. You can use rep ti it is as comfy as carpet but cheaper
Q: because carpets are mostly made of silk, cotton, wool and other materials, it is not easy to preserve for a long time, so the existing carpet treasures have a history of only a few hundred years.
According to the research of Iranian scientists, the carpet weaving technology in Iran has a history of at least 2000 years. Only because carpets are mostly made of silk, cotton, wool and other materials, it is not easy to preserve for a long time, so the existing carpet treasures have a history of only a few hundred years. The pattern of Persian carpet is woven after printing and dyeing with dyes extracted from natural plants and minerals. After many years, it is still colorful. For example, the famous Persian blue and Persian red do not fade after hundreds of years. Iranians regard carpets as a family heirloom. Local friends told reporters: "for Iranians, precious carpets are more precious than gold and diamonds." even rich people use carpets as value preservation products like famous paintings and antiques. Carpet has gradually evolved into an art form because it has been integrated into the ancient Persian civilization. Now many paintings, furniture and fashion decoration have been integrated into the imprint of carpet. Persian carpets are collected as treasures in many palaces, famous buildings, luxury houses and art galleries and museums around the world. In recent years, inflation in Iran has been quite serious, and carpet prices have soared all the way. The price of a medium-quality small carpet has reached seven or eight hundred dollars. As for better silk carpets, they are often thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars, which makes many tourists stop.
Q: I purchased this house last year Sept. 17 2010. From day 1 I had severe problems. The ceilings in the back fell from a Norway rat eating the pipes. I did a mold test and Black Mold was a positive. The walls have been removed and replaced. The rat problem stopped after a Professional Trapper was hired. The house has been completed changed. All big mirrors are gone. That is were mold was too. Now I have Conjunctivitis in both eyes and I keep itching. Is this possibly the carpet in the back rooms? I have been cleaning them out so they can be tiled next week. Is tile a good idea? The AC unit could also be an issue. I would appreciate any advice. Owning a home is great. Most of the house has been completely remodeled. Carpet. AC unit. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
would be nice to swap homes you think you will spend more on labor trying to fix your home if you have these problems should not care enough to swap homes worst record. kisses
Q: I recently moved in with my boyfriend but I told him I'd only move in if he put a carpet down because we have a 10 month old son who does not want to sit still. It's been a couple months and everytime I bring it up he dismisses it. I don't want to wait any longer. I will pay for it and he already said he knows how to put it down. The floor is completely bare...it's not hard wood flooring but the wood that's underneath the carpet it comes with. It has staples to hold down the wood and all along the edges are those sharp nail things. He said that we need something additional to put between the wood floor and the carpet that makes the carpet soft or something. What I need to know is WHAT all do I need to put down a suitable carpet for my son to play on.Thanks for any and all help!!
something easy to clean, does not collect dander or hold dirt. No little pieces that will come unattached so that he can put in his mouth. go to a reputable carpet outlet/store. They will know best. even if you don't buy there you will at least know what to look for elsewhere.
Q: How can I get dried nail polish out of my carpet?
1/2 bleach 1/2 water and some sop it will do the cleaning
Q: Always been as natural as possible with my horses inc rugging, deciding if it's time to rug my old guy (I say old but he's 18 which isn't that old I know!). He's a warmblood, 18yrs used now as a pleasure/trail horse. Things to consider:I live in Queensland, Australia - the lowest the temperatures been since we've lived here is around 1-2 degrees celsius (that's 33-35 Fahrenheit) but it is quite windy (it doesn't snow here - I wish!)This horse spent most of his life in Victoria where the temperature got much lower much windier but he was with a large herd to snuggle up too.We have a run in shelter with just a roof minimal trees. He's a good doer keeping his condition (if anything slightly chubby!).Thanks for your contributions :)
I live in Queensland, (gold coast). as well and i have always rugged my horses. Specialy in winter. It has been so cold lately and i think we are in for the coldest winter in a long time. Remember the cold may affect his joints just like in us humans they get stiff etc. So maybe joint supplement aswell. But i would think that you should rug him this winter. EDIT** Haha geez we live close. i live in mudgeeraba lol. Yes if the sheet is wetthrough take it off otherwise its just going to make him extra cold having a wet rug on. im going to be doing the same thing as my winter rugs broke and i gotta get them fixed.
