Q: i soldered in one of those ribbon cables on to my hp's laptop power button cause the old ribbon was failing. anyways i am having some issues with this new cable1 the laptop will power on by itself if i insert the ribbon into the motherboard connector2 the only way to power off the laptop is to remove the cable from the mother board connector and that means opening up the whole laptop3 like i said it will power on by itself so that means that i cant turn it on/off with the power buttonevery thing is soldered correctly i dont understand also i am not sure but does the cable have to be like the old one cause the new one i soldered in looks the same? could it be that it needs that one particular cable replaced again? please help me i am sad
Time to hang up our computer repair skills and take it to a shop...
Q: I'm installing a new hard drive and I need an extra power cable. Thing is, I've only got one in my computer (15 pin SATA) I have a spare SATA port for the data, so that's not a problem. Anyone know of any multipliers or some way i can add an extra power cable? Thanks in advance
you are able to split the capacity cable with a a million--to--2 capacity connection. yet you are able to't split an information cable (the flat pink one). you choose yet another cable and a 2d connection on the MB. If no 2d connection, you may get a SATA card to flow in a PCI slot. Have performed the two between the above.
Q: is there a cable for UPS where i can connect this kind of adapter?
You local should have the cable you need...
Q: How can i fix it and how much would it cost?
is it the power cable or the adapter ? is it's the power cable then it cheap. if it is the power adapter then it will cost u nearly 100$ Hope it helps u ..... !
Q: This is in terms of military property acocuntability.
Like so many answers: it depends. A power cable for a desk top computer is usually expendable. A power cable running from a generator to a junction box is not. or property book will tell you what it is.
Q: I bought an SATA hard drive off someone that appears to use a 15-pin connector. There does not appear to be any other connectors on the back. How does this thing get powered? I have another SATA hard drive that uses the regular 7-pin connector, and on the back, just like an IDE drive, it has a place to connect the power. This SATA hard drive though just has that big 15-pin connector in the back, and nothing else.

Q: Silicone rubber insulated power cable blistering, stomatal reasons What are the improvements?
Surface brush fireproof paint is the fire-resistant bridge by fire time sub-level two three times as if 30 minutes 45 minutes and 60 minutes fire bridge should be lined with inorganic fire board, but this is very high in the general very little useful
Q: I have Windows Vista on my Asus W2P laptop and I have had this weird problem for a while - every time I plug the power cable in when the computer is actually on, Media Centre automatically starts. It's not really an issue, except that it's a bit annoying and weird!! Has anyone else had/heard of an issue lke this?
If the cpu followers are spinning, that's that the video exhibit plug isn't precise related on your video card or your video card itself isn't precise inserted interior the board slot. try re-seating it.
Q: My amp was working this morning. On my way home, the power cable came out somehow. I put it back in and it wasn't powering on. The amp fuses were blown, I replaced them. Then I went to hook the battery terminal back and the fuse in my power cable blew instantly. I replaced it and tried again and it blew again. Also the fuses in the amp are fine now. I did the same process when I installed my amp the first time and it was fine so I don't know why it's doing this now. The amp is a Boston Acoustics 800w RMS amp and an 80a fuse. Any ideas?
you got a short to ground, make sure ANY part of the Positive (hot) wire is not touching the chassis
Q: What is the difference between a power cable and an ordinary wire?
The line is to be reserved, the installation will have a certain degree of tightness
