- Q:I just bought the 8800gt, but i don't have the cable to connect it to the power supply. So what cable do i need ??I found those but i am not sure
- If you want to find out what cables you need there are two ways. 1. check the manual or guide that came with the device to see if it says what cables you need. 2. take the device with to a hardware or electronics store and ask the clerks there to help you find the right cables for you're device.
- Q:recently i purchased an imac G4, it included everything)keyboard, speakers, mouse ect.) but, it didnt come with a powercable. i knew this when i bought it, but thought it was a standard connector,i was wrong, it is a 3 pronged connector, I have a cable that will fit, but it is only 2 prongs, (it's missing the ground pin) . i only can return this item in 4 days if there is a problem with it, i could buy a powercord, but i risk it not coming in time. Can i use my 2-pronged power cord just to test it's funcionality. (fans, chime etc.) without the computer catching on fire of any other type of failure.Chris
- It's an ordinary 3-pin PC power cable. Any desktop, screen or printer should use one. If you don't have one, you should be able to easily find one for ?5.
- Q:My friend gave me a PS2 as a gift of Friendship but it was missing a cable. And that cable was the power cable. He told me I can use a power cable that some radios use, and it will be the same. Although I have doubts. I think I have like 2 radios out back so I'm wondering if they actually DO work. I'm going to attempt this tomorrow so I need a answer ASAP and please don't make it a simple answer, include some detail if possible. Like what exactly is the Power Cable I need so I can take a look at the Radio's power cable to see if its the right one. I'm unfamiliar with the Power Cable actually because I haven't seen a PS2 in almost 4 years since I got my PS3.

- Q:The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on.Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turned off by itself. But every since it doesn't wants to come on. Is the power supply gone? If so, how can still the green button comes on and the squeezing noise remains?well, I bought a power supply, and with the new power supply, nothing comes on - not even the squeezing noiseplease help me out! I need my PC! thanx in advanced!
- i believe the unique provide replaced into probable effective.... basically no longer completely 'firing' because the burden is in mistakes. a short or different mistakes on the feed area is undesirable. this way of means provide reacts to, and is managed through, the burden. hard to describe! At any price, the problem would nicely be contained in the workstation and under no circumstances the means provide itself.
- Q:Can I use a standard 12 volt power cable on an Elmo projector?
- Possibly on the BoxiT-200 that takes 12 to 19 volts at 3 amps, positive center. Read the printing on user manual, it gives the requirements. Most other Elmo projectors are plugged into an ac outlet.
- Q:i just got a junked up PS2 and i'm taking it apart to see what all is wrong with it and do a thorough cleaning of everything inside and i discovered that the problem is the power eject ribbon cable is tattered. is there anyway i can make a homemade style cable or repair the old one. i know there are like 5 to 10 bucks but im a major cheapa$$ so to say so any tips or tricks???
- I'm afraid if its cracked where I think Its cracked you will not be able to repair it. You will have to find some way of replacing it. The signal you think is going through because enough will say I want to be turned on. Nevertheless there might be a workaround. I need you to put that cable back in and get your ps3 controller and press the PS icon. This can also turn on your PS3 remotely. If this causes it to turn on and run you can test to see if you need that cable or not by shutting down and removing it. If it works on the controller side this will have to be your power up option from here on out. By also pressing this button it will automatically detect the position so you will not need to press it second time. It won't matter thankfully if its a shock controller or a six axis... this method works for both.
- Q:I just moved to the UK, and I have a US xbox 360 slim, I still have the power brick and everything. My friend here has a power cable that will fit the US power brick (it is from his UK xbox). Can I plug in the UK cable to the US power brick then plug it like I normally would into my 360? Or will that fry the power adapter or xbox? Thanks!!
- Ya you can plug it in. It should be fine b/c its all emitting the same amount of power. I think. lol
- Q:I recently got YLOD on my ps3 (60g fat) system ,sent it away ,got it back with a new mainboard ,it worked for about 2 days and it cut out (red lights blinking) once again i sent it away ,got it back and it cut out within a few hours (red lights blinking again ) ,so one last repair i sent it off to same shop ,and once again it worked for about a week then cut out on me again ! ,is there any possibility its my power cable to my ps3 thats doing this ?
- Could be your household voltage is blowing the Motherboard try getting a low voltage transformer it plugs into the socket and lowers the voltage because most household voltages are set to a specific Watt so it can run big things like T.V's Microwaves etc. I see you are in the US so it rules out the possibility of a broken fuse. When it cuts out do any of the trip switches trip on the main electric panel? If so then your only option is to buy a transformer. I would ask the shop where you take it first though. Hope I helped
- Q:You have not connected the power cable to your video card. Please refer to the 'C settings started guide' for proper hardware installation.
- What graphics card do you have? Most modern GPUs require external power (i.e. they can not draw enough from the PCI Express slot itself). You should have some spare Molex connectors (usually 6 pins, 3x2) from your PSU to connect to the GPU. The connection procedure should be covered in the user manual!
