Q:I have this printer, bought for $100 at Best Buy a few years ago... I moved almost 2 years ago, and seemingly have lost one or more of the cords associated with this printer. Im trying to find out which one is missing. I have the one which connects the printer to the computer [USB]. But I dont have the one that gives it power... It looks like the end would fit into a 3 hole [prong?] opening, the holes are all in line... Anyone got an ideas? Know what Im talking about? If so, any idea what its called, or where I can find one? Im sure online, but I havent any idea what Im looking for at this point.
why don't you e-mail HP see if they will send you a power cord or advise you where to get one in your area
Q:Copper and Aluminum are being considered for the cables in a high-voltage transmission line where each must carry a current of 50A. The resistance of each cable is to be .15ohms per kilometer.A. If the line carries power from Niagra Falls to New York (500Km), mow much power is lost along the way in the cable? Compute for each choice of cable materialB. the necessary cable diameterC. mass per meter of cable Please correct if you see anything that may be offSolving for part a:Power = I deltaV, since deltaV was not given IR=deltaVso Power = (I^2)R = 50^2 x 75 = 187.5 kW lt;-- answerR= 75 since R= .15 ohms/ km x 500kmB) resistivity of copper = 1.7 x 10^-8 ohm m resistivity of al = 2.82 x 10^-8 ohm m R = (resistivity x length)/Areawhat do i use for R? is it the 0.15 ohm/km or 75 ohm?using the 75 ohm as R, I get that the radius of the copper wire is 0.0000361 m and the diameter is then 0.0000722.Am i on the right track?
a) Power = (Current) (Voltage) = (Current)^2 / (Resistance) You got it good job b) I would rearrange your equation a bit to minimize computation. R = (resistivity x length) / Area Therefore (R / l) = (rho) / A They give you (R/I) = 0.15 ohms/km and they give you rho. Just solve for A. Your way of doing the calculation in bits (finding R and then finding A) is good, too, though. I didn't actually check your numbers. The only pitfall would be forgetting to convert km to m.
Q:Hi, Im building a computer and my Power supply dosent have enough Cables/wires for all the slots. We do have enough to fill one motherboard power slot and we also have enough to fill about a hal of one. Can my computer run with just half of one of the slots? Also, my computer's Graphics card, a Gigabyte GV-N560UD-1GI nVidia GeForce 560 Ti, has two power slots, and the wires that it comes with have 2 4 pin peripheral power cables brnching off of it. My power supply only has enough to fill 1 of the cables. My dad says it will be fine but i dunno. Please awnser quickly! Any awnsers will be much a preiciated
I'm sorry but no you need to have all the correct plugs installed if you expect them to run correctly. You didn't really give any info about the power supply but for that graphics card you generally want between 550-600 watt power supply to run anyways. Sounds like you will either need the proper adapters or another power supply altogether.
Q:The difference between high voltage overhead cables and high voltage cables
Clean the copper wire to be welded, and dip a little solder paste or rosin before welding.
Q:i lost my printer`s power cable. its HP640C inkjet. and original cable is costing too much. can anyone tell me in AHMEDABAD frm whr i can get d cheaper n reliable power cable??
Call any small office equipment repair places in your area they may have a box of used ones. Also try places that take donations like Goodwilll, you may find a printer like yours for the price of a power supply
Q:My PC shuts down by itself and even if i push the power button, it won't start again. I have to unplug the power cable and plug it again and then push the power button to start again.... it will work for 30mins-1 hour, and then it will crush again.
Of course you can't start it if you Crush it ... sounds like the PSU is overheating and shutting down ... in the process it trips an auto safety feature which by unplugging the power cable you're resetting .... eventually you'll short out the whole thing and fry your computer ... go spend $25 and buy a new Power Supply before you kill your PC
Q:I have a hard drive that has an enclosure is there any way to take an internal 3.5hard drive and convert it to an only usb cable portable hard drive with no power cord?
No. Not a 3.5 hard drive. You can do it with a 2.5 laptop drive because the drive mechanics and electronics require less power. A 3.5 drive requires too much power for USB to provide. Though... In the near future, you will see USB ports that are capable of supplying more power than the standard .5 amps that USB currently provides. So after they come out, you might see it being a possibility then.
Q:where do i put the wire through from the inside of the car to the battery located under the hood?
you have to find a hole in the firewall and make your way through.. I have an 02 explorer, i found a plastic cap where some electrical wires went through to the engine, so i drilled another hole in the cap, (very carefully) and used a rubber washer to seal the gap. Make sure you dont leave any gaps in your firewall, and avoid drilling a hole in the actual firewall AT ALL COSTS!! hope that helps!
Q:And will it damage the PS2 it if I use it?
Google the voltage the PS2 used, and if the PS3's power cable voltage is the same as the PS2's power cable then it's all good. Hope that helps.
Q:My ISP had installed an outdoor antenna from where a white RJ45 cable runs into a little white box (which is plugged into AC outlet) and from the same white box i do have another RJ45 jack plugged into my laptops NIC card. I came to know that the white ethernet cable is Power over Ethernet cable which carries the power as well as data. I just want to know if i can plug that ethernet directly into my laptops NIC card ? Can i do that will there be any harm to my laptop's NIC ??
Hi lets clear up a few points the 56k modem port is dial up. its ideal if you have only a phone line to connect to the internet. its maximum down load data rate is 56k/bits a second, but is actually only capable of 7k bytes a second maximum or 7 kilo characters a second. RJ 11 is the connector a 4 element connection. RJ 45 is an ethernet cable with 8 elements when connected to a home hub or ADSL modem depending on the service supplied can be anything you pay for it can be as slow as the 56k and it can be 48g/bits/sec which would cost about 200 thousand dollars a year. Now a myth that needs to be explained wifi is going to be slower than the direct ethernet connection as it needs translation in to wireless from the ethernet connection. Most laptops of the type describe have an ethernet socket. the 56k dial up connection is still good should the ADSL connection fail provided you can still use the telephone to call someone. Be warned you only get what you pay for a cheap ADSL will only give a small down load data rate at the busiest time of day probably no faster than the dial up connection.
