Q: would oxy clean on capret remove a stain?im afriad it will change the color of the carpet or something bad like that
Oxy clean does not contain bleach and will not change the color of your carpet.Oxy clean makes several different products and some even state they will work on carpets. If you want to try it on a out of site area such as under a piece of furniture. But I believe it will be fine.
Q: What size carpet is the 80 x 80 tea table suitable for?
Both sides are not to step on it, than ten cm oval table carpet you suggest that three sides have stepped, and all round nice, this area is whole to the sofa, 1.6 long, was too big, the carpet is too prominent.
Q: Hello,my roomate had are carpets cleaned with a Kirby Sentria Vacuum last night. I was gone when it happend or else I would have asked more about the chemical they were using to clean it. Does anyone know if it is toxic? Thanks in advance!
no it is actually just going to re dirty the carpets.
Q: THE COLOR IS CYAN, AND THE CARPET IS BEIGE
I had just had the carpets cleaned when the next day dropped a toner cartridge on the carpet. Did not want to have it cleaned again, I tried several different substances before I found one that took all the ink out. It is a cleanser that has peroxide in it, so you could probably try using a mixture of water and peroxide on the carpet. Dab with a white towel. Do not rub, or you will be pushing the color further down into the carpet. As long as you have color coming onto the rag, you are pulling ink out of the carpet. Might take several attempts. You also might have to redo it once the carpet has dried. This is called wicking when the stain comes back up to the surface.
Q: I'm getting my first tattoo today. My friends were telling me that it will be tender for about 4 or 5 days. They said it would feel kinda like a rug burn or a grass burn. Does that sound right to you? Also, I'm a bit nervous about needles. Can you guys tell me how it feels to be tattooed? Thanks!
None of my tats were tender for that long. Keep it really moist with AD ointment and you should be fine. The worst part about getting a tattoo is the wiping (when they wipe off the excess ink every couple of minutes). I have my lower back, my lower stomach, my foot and behind my ear. The worst was definitely my foot. I was nervous about my first tat because I heard it was a tender area. They started doing it and it didn't really hurt at all. The needle is huge, but very small when it is in the gun. No worries!!!
Q: The toilet overflowed the whole bathroom, and it left a huge puddle in the hallway. The carpet is completely soaked. It's clean water though, it's been doing this for days now, but we've been catching it before it reached the carpet. We have a shampooer that is currently sucking up the water, but I need more than that. Also, taking up the carpet from the ground is not an option. One more thing- any good ways to clean it once it gets dry?
Unless your shampooer is a professional unit, it will leave most of the water in the carpet. A professional unit has around 200 inches of lift, whereas a non-commercial unit will have around 25 of lift. Your other concern will the padding that is under the carpeting. Unless you pull up the carpeting/padding, the water will remain. If the water remains, you will encounter mold/mildew within 72 hours. It's important to get it up and get it dry!...After the carpet is up, padding is removed and water is removed, you need to use a high volume blower to complete the drying process. These blowers can be rented at equipment rental yards.
Q: I just need to average pricing for carpets. I don't need instalation, just the carpet itself. The carpet I need to match is kind of a cheaply made carpet, my dog tore it up trying to get out of the bedroom.
Carpet runs anywhere from $2 a square yard to $35-up. You need to go to a carpet store and look at samples to get a price. There is a huge store near the square on 41. EDIT - Since you need a small carpet, ask to see their remnant room. You might find just what you need at a fraction of the cost.
Q: Great landlord. Don't want to damage beautiful floors. Need to have rug lay flat. In living room. Carpet is thin. needs padding
A true pad won t really work since it ll bunch up,make it to thick and cause a tripping hazard.. What you should use is a special mat made just for rugs over hardwood. This type allows the rug to stay it place w/o slipping and bunch up, allows the wood to properly breathe and not stain the wood . These are bought any where wood and flooring are sold, just get the kind made for rugs over wood. Since you know your rug size you can get the closest size to your rug. You can even cut these and trim them to fit so the whole rug is covered from below. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: Hi everyone, how do i take a plain white area rug and make a black floral design on it on parts of the rug? like on two corners and maybe a swirl or two in middle ? i know ive seen people use templates and literarly spray or paint over template to make design. then use a sealer or something i dont know :( help thank you
I did a design on an outdoor sisal type rug and it came out really nice. I used spray paint and sealed it with polyurethane. You can get the templates at a craft store or make one yourself. There might be a problem if there is a high pile on the carpet. The design might not have clean edges. You could try one section of it on the back of the rug. Or get a carpet remanent with a pile like you have on your white carpet to try. If the design does not have clear edges you might be able to touch it up with a tiny paintbrush. I don't think a dye (like Rit Dye) would work. It would run and make a mess. I think you would have to stick to a surface treatment only-like spray paint.
