What should I tell them?: I've never heard of any one putting carpet pad down before applying carpet tiles. I did find the instructions below for installing carpet tiles but no mention of carpet pad. Q: my daughter spill red kool aid on my beige carpet. I have an expensive carpet cleaner but it is not doing the trick help: I'm not sure about red kool-aid but I use rubbing alcohol for all sorts of other stains and have had great luck with it. I just pour some into a spray bottle and spray a small area of the stain/spot. (should be fairly wet but not soaked). Then rub the area with a clean dry cloth it should take up the stain/spot right away. Rubbing alcohol is fast drying which can be a great help as well. WARNING... [Be sure to test it in a small area first. It could possibly damage the carpet as well. Tho it's not likely.] I hope this works for you.
