Q: give me pricing on 3 bedrooms house of carpet
Prices vary a lot because of the different qualities of carpet , but you can figure around 3 dollars a s/f installed with basic pad. This won t include ant rip out or disposal of the old. Size of the rooms will effect the pricing since carpet comes in 12 and 15' rolls ( for the most part) and a 10x10 room will require the purchase of the same amount of carpet as a 10x12 room. Bigger rooms will require seaming and extra carpet. No professional will add 10% for scrap. A few inches is common practice for out of square rooms but 10% is a rip off. And you never have to buy a whole roll . You buy only the lineal foot of carpet thats needed. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: How do you match the carpet colors?
The color of the living room carpet should be in harmony with the color of your TV wall, wall, floor, and furniture. In a room inside, the color is best not too much, too many colors, giving a kind of eye busy, hand disorderly feeling, the color is too little, sometimes will feel the living room is too monotonous. In the living room color, as with people wearing, the same is the color, but three principles
Q: Hotel room white carpet yellowing how to deal with, after washing, there is Huang Ziyin
Carpet brings important adornment to our home, carpet has made our home feel very warm instantly.
Q: I'm looking for a rug to cover up the dining room carpet, just to lay on top but everything I find is very expensive. The rug doesn't have to be anything exotic, anyone have any affordable ideas? Or creative ways of turning something into a rug?

Q: I am looking for someone to pull the glue down carpet I have on my concrete basement floor off. Also, would install new carpet in for a reasonable price. I will buy all the materials needed. I just need someone to remove and install it. I live in the Piedmont Triad area in North Caroline. Please help.
Removing glue-down or any carpet does not require any special skill, only some amount of strength and the proper tools. You will need a good utility knife with a couple of packs of sturdy replacement blades. You can use the knife to cut thru the carpet, making it into approx 3x3' or 4x4' sections. Then just start pulling the carpet up. Cut one section at a time, remove it then proceed to the next. If any foam is left stuck to the floor, you only need to remove the thick sections. A small amount can be left stuck to the floor since the new carpet and pad, will cover this. You can use a stiff 3-4 wide putty knife to scrape off the foam that's left behind or rent or buy a scraping tool, on a long pole to do the job. I have done it with just a putty knife. Then get some estimates for new carpet and installation. Home D and Lowes offer almost free install.
Q: My apt is approx. 900 sq ft. Minus the 2 bathrooms, and dining and kitchen rooms is about 860 sq ft maybe. I want my old carpet to be replaced with the soft carpet. The one that is not too furry. Not Berbar carpets and not commercial. My current one is 10 years old and is commercial. I hate it cuz it roughens my feet over the years and i have to wear slippers.
860 square feet is 95.5 yards. The style of carpet you want is a sculptured plush, which can retail anywhere from 17.99 a yard upwards to 35.00 a yard. If you were to figure 19.99 a yard, for instance times 95 yards you would have around 1910.00 for only the carpet! You must also take into consideration the following costs: Removal of old carpet and pad- both the labor and the hauling away. New pad. Installation labor costs. Any cost for furniture or appliance moving or disconnecting. Moldings or cove base or quarter round. If your landlord was looking at commercial carpet it is due to the fact that it will stand up to the normal abuse most tennants subject flooring to. I work in a flooring store and I also own a rental. I know the usual life of carpet in a rental and the cost of the materials and labor for my area. In your area, it is likely that your costs would be much higher than here, since I live in a small town. Hope that helps! p.s. without actually looking at the installation area in person, to quote you a realistic price would be impossible!
Q: trying to refinish a 98 buick park and avoid having to but new carpet in, also any tips for leather?
Resolve spray carpet cleaner, a small stiff bristle nylon brush, and a small wet/dry vacuum cleaner...do small section at a time so you can see the difference... Look around for a good leather cleaner/conditioner
Q: I purchased an old wool, floral patterned, pile area rug (approx. 8' x 10') at an auction. It needs cleaned and there is not a professional cleaner in my area. Can I clean it with a traditional steam cleaner using cold water? If so, what about the beater bar? Do I need to diconnect that so I don't fuzz the wool? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Since you don't have a cleaning service in your area;I would recomend taking it to laundry mat that has commerical washers and add 1/2 cup woolite and wash on the lowest setting and then take home and place over railing or flat surface and let air dry. I do this with my Oriental area rugs. If a laundry mat is unavailable; use the recomendation above in your bath tub; squeezing gently after your drain tub and then palce over railing or place on flat surface.
Q: why do linoleun floors yellow with area rugs?
Two main things. One is that your area rugs may have solvents or fabric protectants (such as anti-stains or water repellants) that react with your linoleum. Another is that the linoleum that is not covered by the rugs have photo-oxidized (light fades it a little bit), leaving the ones under the rugs relatively newer or yellower than the exposed areas.
Q: So I'm gonna be renting out a place but there is ugly orange stained carpet. What can I do to make it look better? The owner won't let me change the carpet either. :(
Put area rugs over the stains, and put furniture over them too. Couches, chairs, coffee tables, small tables, whatever. You can also try to do a professional deep clean with the carpet, depending on how much you want to spend. The deep clean may also be able to get out the stains.
