Q: Weak machine room with anti-static smooth pull to drink to help Taiwan to help the county floor, room equipment, cabinets, Qintai how to install, is directly on the floor, or for the steel structure after the device placed above the more
Usually placed directly on the floor, if there is a need for fixed, then there are two ways, the floor hole with a fixed bar in the floor under the floor, or on the floor out of the appropriate size of the hole, through the bracket or base with the ground The
Q: this summer, my a/c was leaking water causing wet spots on the floor.i used a towel to try to dry but then over the course of weeks my floor began to buckle. i dont know what this is. it may be water under the floor. will this be a major problem? anyone know round about estimates?
First off, we need some details. Is this a floor covering that is buckling? (As in laminate flooring) Or is this the sub-floor that is buckling? (Generally particle board, OSB, or plywood, found under vinyl flooring, carpet, or other floor covering). Dimensions? (How much of the floor is buckling?) There is the off chance, also, that you have a warped floor joist. How much it is going to cost will depend on which problem you've got, what kind of floor covering, and material & labor rates in your area. OSB sub-flooring in my neck of the woods is running about $13 for a sheet of 3/4 x 4'x8'. Plywood of the same thickness and size is running about $32 per sheet. This could turn into a major problem, if you let it go. Mold can set in, and then you'd have a really nasty problem. By the way, that leak from the air conditioner was probably from dirt in the drain line. It needs to be cleaned out, or replaced, before running the AC. Without those details, we can't very well give even a rough guess at the expense to repair it. Call some local flooring contractors to come out and give you some estimates. Ask for, AND CHECK, their references. Good Luck Additional: Ok, I've checked back 3 times now, and still don't see any additional information. So my best advice with the limited details we have here, is to call in the flooring contractors as stated above. Have Fun
Q: I have just brought a new Reef tank and want to know if my floor can take the wieght? The sizes of the beams under my floor are 2.5inch by 7inch by 216inch (18ft) The size of the base of the tank is 30inch by 18inch and will weigh 280kg max It will be next to a concrete wall and be parallel with the beams and be resting over two beams. Thanks for any help guys and girls
The beams you are describing are floor joists not beams. 2 1/2 inch by 7 inch by 18 feet is a long span for that size of floor joist. Normally the length should be no longer than 12 feet. are you sure there is not a supporting beam in the center of this span running at right angles to the floor joists. If there is no support beam about the middle of the floor joists, you should have support under the location where you intend to set your Tank. In any case you should build a platform with 2 X 4's laid across at least 3 floor joists and place the tank on them so it will span 3 floor joists, not run parallel to only 2 floor joists.
Q: floor hockey
can't you just call it stickhandling like we do in icehockey?
Q: Hello,I was looking forward to painting the garage door over the winter vacation, because it keeps peeling and cracking. However, I was wondering how I should paint the floor this time because the last time i did, the paint peeled very quickly. Also, is the temperature too cold to paint? (i am ok painting in freezing temperatures, however will it kill the paint?)Thanks
Hey, I just painted my garage floor and used the epox they have at home depot. It comes in a box set (epox, starter, acid to clean floor, flakes for extra color) and has a dvd on how to get the best results. It costs about 60 bucks. I did exactly what the dvd told me and really I have a nice garage floor. I can highly recommend it. I think the temperature has to be above 45 or 50 degrees though. Plus you can't park your car in your garage for at least a week. Good luck
Q: I have a dog and I know that floor cleaners are poisonous to dogs. I have heard that you can mix white vinegar with water and it will kill the bacteria and won't hurt the dog. What measurement should I use for the vinegar solution?
Floor cleaners ARE poisonous to dogs, IF THEY DRINK THEM. Use a solution made for floors. Vinegar is only an acid. It has NO soap, detergent, surfactants, etc.
Q: living room and bedroom have really bad stripped wood floors whats the best way to get the shine and strength back to them? ive tried mop and glow pledge floor cleaner and murphys oil and none have worked
Since the floor is already partly striped you will need to get the rest of the old finish off. Once the old finish is off, you may need to sand the floor to make it nice and smooth. Clean the dust up real good and put down a good sealer or sealer/stain combo. Once you have that done then you can put down a good wax and you should be in good shape. If the floors have a lot of traffic on them you might ask for a wax like is used on a gym floor. It will last longer than a bottle wax but it isn't real cheap. Just ask the folks where you are buying it and they can tell you. Just make sure the floor is clean before you put down the sealer and wax.
Q: I just installed 450 sq ft. of laminate flooring. I did not level the floor properly and now Im finding a high point in the center of the room. Each time I walk around the high point, the floor drops a little. Is it possible to fix this without tearing up the floor. can I drill a hole and shoot some type of epoxy under the padding to prevent the floor from dropping when I step on it? Sounds crazy...but I want my floor to last. Boy did I screw up!
I'm afraid there's not much you can do except tear up the floor and re do it.
Q: Do your pelvic floor muscles tighten the more you do normal exercise, as in running, rowing, cycling etc?If you start off being someone who does little exercise will your pelvic floor muscles tighten if you start doing more normal exercise? Or is it just specific Pelvic Floor exercises that only work for this? Also, if you start off being fit but then turn into a coach potato will your Pelvic floor muscles go from being tight to loose?
Pelvic floor exercises are sometimes called Kegel exercises, after the obstetrician who developed them. Another name for the exercises is pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT). 1.)Try to tighten your muscles around your vagina and back passage and lift up, as if you’re stopping yourself passing water and wind at the same time. A quick way of finding the right muscles is by trying to stop the flow of urine when you’re in the toilet. Don’t do this regularly because you may start retaining urine. Once you've found the muscles, make sure you relax and empty your bladder completely. 2.)When you first start the exercises, check that you are doing them correctly. Put your hands on your abdomen and buttocks to make sure you can’t feel your belly, thighs, or buttocks moving. 3.)Don't hold your breath. You should be able to hold a conversation at the same time, or try counting aloud while you're doing the exercises. Don't tighten the tummy, thigh or buttock muscles - you'll be exercising the wrong muscle groups. Don't squeeze your legs together. Do your pelvic exercises at least three times a day
Q: I'm redoing my bedroom floor (I live in a Mobile Home)Floating Floors were suggested.. >_>..I have no idea what they are?I have a few questions; Are they safe/DurableDo they move around when you walk? (Excuse my ignorance)What types of floating floors are there? How expensive will it be? (My room is 10x11 ft with a 8x3 ft closet)Will they withstand heavy furniture? (Beds/Dressers/Desks)And by the name floating, I get the impression that they are just sitting on the floor? (Ignorance, I know) Will you see the cracks, to the bottom of the floors by the wall.. ?Haha.I just need an explanation. [:Thanks <3
I looked at the link Steve in NC offered and he is correct. I've installed Floating floors for the purpose of use in a ballet school; but cannot imagine WHY anyone might suggest them for any home, never mind a mobile. I live in a mobile, and my floors are very stable as is. The flooring I installed was on Concrete. It was treated 2 x 4's cushioned, specific to what a dance floor should be in FLEX. Over that 3/4 ply was installed. Over that an underlayment was installed. Over that MARLEY was installed. WAY overkill for a residence. Steven Wolf
