- Q: Can old speaker wire cause a little static sound??
- The only way I could see old wire causing what you describe is if there is a lot of oxidation on the part where it is making contact. It is possible, but not likely and just simply jiggling things should cause the oxidation to come off, if that is what it is.

- The instructions seem pretty straight-forward. T-Taps and squeeze-connectors are basically the same thing; achieving the same results, which is to add a connection to an existing wire without interrupting the line. Just make sure you use the right size and type, meaning; don't use a low-voltage connector for a high-voltage application... You'd just fry it up. For the cut wires, I'd use crimp-connectors and some shrink-wrap. Again, using the correct connector. You can use wire-nuts, but the crimp-connectors are a more permanent fix. Good luck to ya.

- I wouldn't try it. The gray, white, and black wires are the high voltage strobe wires. The control module changes the patterns before the voltage is increased. There is nothing you can do here.

- EI is very easy, you can do them either way, all that you need to assure is the voltage gets into the wire. So end to end or all direct to the inverter either way works just fine. My problem is getting the wire exposed, it takes me more than one shot at it, lol..

- Its probably a power relay wire used to switch the amp on when the radio is turned on. The radio will have either an orange or yellow wire that is used to trigger a retractable antenna. If this is the case, connect your blue wire to this orange wire on the radio. Then when you power the radio the relay switch will activate the amp. If you do not have this option on your radio, you will have to manually wire a switch that is connected to your fuse box so that you can send 12 volts to that blue wire to activate the amp.

- It doesn't matter as long as you keep it strait, when ever possable connect a white wire to white wire, red wire to red wire etc...if you have like a green wire original but no green extension wire then I would use green electrical tape to color code the extension wire to the same color as the original, you can buy electrical tape in almost any color and wrap it around the wire and connector ends for color coding...
