- Q: anyone own a kenmore progressive vacuum cleaner!? I am in the market for a really great vacuum, at a resonable price, (unlike dyson's)! i have read good and bad reviews on the progressive! I have a black lab and I need a great vaccum to get up all that dog hair! Please let me know what you think and also what kind of progressive you have! THANK YOU!
- I own one - but - I also have central vacuuming as well. I own a Bernese Mountain Dog - very furry. I use the Kenmore cleaner at my office...a lot of foot traffic on commercial type carpet - you know - the real flat ugly stuff - and my vac does an excellent job. I would definitely recommend the progressive - Consumer Reports rated it one of the best too (if that means anything to you)
- Q: There are 4 adults and 1 dog in my home. One of the adults tends to quot;shedquite a lot and has ruined every cheap vacuum we have bought with her hair. I would like to get a nice vacuum anyway, and I've found a great deal on Dyson vacuums, so the one I get has to be a Dyson. However, regardless of the deal, I don't want to buy a nice vacuum if the human hair will ruin it. I've narrowed it down to the DC25 All Floor, or the DC25 Animal. Is there a difference between the two? And will human hair ruin either one? Or do you have a suggestion for a different Dyson (I'd like all floor capable and ball technology)? Thank you.
- Hi, okorder / Best wishes, Ryan Dyson Customer Service
- Q: Who makes the best vacuum cleaner - DYSON or ORECK? and why?
- We have a Dyson Animal and I LOVE it! All the attachments are great and super functional. I guess one thing I did hear is that the Oreck is super light, but the Dyson is a little heavier, other than that, I've not heard anything special about the Oreck.
- Q: I sucked up 2 big spiders, bigger than a quarter and 1 moth with a vacuum nozzle thing. after i sucked up the last spider, i left the vacuum on for about another minute to make sure the spider is dead. do you think its dead? cause now im scared to leave my room cause im afraid the spiders can crawl back up.
- Why not catch them and let them sleep beside you on your bed? Iv heard they are great sleep inducers
- Q: Hello, I'm thinking of purchasing Dirt Devil Vision vacuum cleaner that has a HEPA filter. I realize those filters are very expensive....how long do they last? (in terms of years, and in terms of how many times you emptied the cup approx).I'm new to vacuum cleaners, open to suggestions! Thanks! (100-200 price range)
- I'm a professional house keeper. NO DIRT DEVIL PRODUCTS!
- Q: It's not but two years old. Took it to a house with really old electrical outlets/wiring system, plugged it in and it ran. Turned it off, tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't turn on again. No electric box switches were tripped/turned off. Also tried it in outlets in all three rooms but it still didn't turn on. Fo vacuum cleaners have fuses the protect the motor? Any thoughts as to what's going on and/or what I can do (besides buy a new one)? Any advice appreciated.
- i think it sounds like you blew the motor.
- Q: My 2 year old Yorkie Terrier HATES vacuum cleaners. A couple of days ago I was vacuuming and noticed that Tom, my Yorkie, chipped his front tooth. The tooth is chipped almost right down to the gum. It doesn't seem to bother him, but I don't want my dog to be in any kind of pain. Should I take him to the vet? Even if it doesn't seem to bother him? And what will happen if they take the tooth out?
- To preserve or fasten with a mechanical gadget: Watertight doorways and hatches have been dropped into location and dogged all the way down to deliver the send complete watertight integrity (Tom Clancy).
- Q: I am thinking in aspect of vacuum cleaners.
- Sometimes a waterfall analogy is used: voltage is equivalent to how high the waterfall is, amperage to how much water is flowing. Power (watts) is volts x amps. (There is a technical point about phase, which we ignore.) Since household voltage is 110 in the US, a typical 10 amp vacuum will provide 1100 watts.
- Q: Yeah they all seem great the first time you vacuum, but then no matter how clean is the filter they just don't suck. I don't have $70-$100 every month to go and buy new one especially knowing that it's not gonna pick up what it's supposed to. I don't have pets and the carpet is short. Is there anything else out there that works? Does Dyson work as they claim? Please don't tell me to switch to wood floor or tile.
- I have a Dyson, it is very good with good suction but it will cost you around $599 but is worth paying a bit more for in the long run. I have had two cheap vacuum cleaners and both were hopeless. Hope this helps
- Q: I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!
- Take a look at the Bissell Healthy Home model. It's got the multi-cyclonic filtering technology similar to Dyson and 1/2 the price. Also has a 5 year warranty and a lifetime belt. On board tools are handy and sturdy. It's not a light weight unit but is solid and has tons of suction. Also has a long hose that works great for cleaning steps and other areas that you can't run the power head on. I have 4 cats and 3 dogs so I know pet hair and this one handles it very, very well. The multi-cyclonic filtering spins the dirt out of the air stream so well that very, very little ever gets to the filters! The unit has the advanced HEPA filtration too so you don't blow dirt back into the air from the sweeper. And it handled drywall sanding dust very well when I was redoing the hall way walls. Most of the time, it's about $250 but if you watch for a sale you can snag it for $200. Well worth every penny!
