- The rug doctor will leave allot of soap in your carpet, which will create mold. Personally I do not trust buying carpet cleaners scene as i own my own carpet cleaning company ha ha but I deff do not recommend the rug doctor to anyone, its not safe.
- Q: I think Tide works great for brightening clothes and was wondering is there anything out there that brings out the color in older carpets (my carpets are about 7 years old and they are starting to fade in color).
- Get a carpet washer(I don't know what its called, but it shampoos your carpet and it looks like a vacuum, but you use water and soap in it), it may just be really dirty. If thats not the problem, then ask a carpet store, they would definitely know.
- Q: My puppy decided to chew the carpet going from my living room into my kitchen (which is laminate). Unfortunately, my attempts thus far have just made things worse. I was trying to put a transition piece in, but could not get it to stick since beneath the carpet is just concrete. My lease is up in 3 weeks and I'm getting a bit panicked. - to repair your carpet, you will need a carpet knife,level or square to guide your cutting.,double sided carpet tape, tape measure, first measure out the area you need, make sure it is prepped by squaring the area off, in a corner in the closet remove a section needed for your repair job. sweep or vac the area, place your double tape down,place your carpet on top and if you have a rolling pin, roll over the carpet to make it lay down and seal to the tape. you can pick up same carpets and replace the one in the closet.
- Q: I am replacing carpet in my living room, hallway and 3 bedrooms. All with one kind of carpet. I am looking for something durable, stiff, non-furry so it's easy to maintain and resist stain. Almost every store we visited is selling different type of fabric. I am getting very confused. So far the fabric I've seen are nylon, smartstrand, BCF Strudon... anyone knows the difference?

- Design rule is that your rug should be 24 behind the chair with someone seated. Mine is much less, maybe 12-18 and works fine. Jute will work but it's a bit hard to clean. On the plus side, it doesn't show spills too much. If you have cats, they might think that you bought it for their scratching needs. Invest in a good rug pad if you want to extend the life of your rug, or the rug is thin or stiff enough to slip.
