Q: Had safety inspection today. Mechanic started lifting car with out putting arms and lift pads out (center lift, arms form X under car). After driving car, couldn‘t turn wheel with out strong arming it. Got it in driveway, now leaking reddish fluid that has strong fish smell and serpentine belt has snapped. Whats going on? Could the improper lifting done this?
The brake system is a closed loop hydraulic system. Increasing the hydraulic pressure will move the wheel cylinders or calipers to increase the brake pressure. The master cylinder is the pump that increases the hydraulic pressure. You control that buy pushing on the brake pedal.
Q: I drive 50 MPH in high winds driving against the wind. What are the chances of my car lifting up?
A Jeep Cherokee weighs nearly 3400 lbs. Its gonna take a lot of wind to lift that up, like a tornado or Category 5 hurricane.
Q: In the car repair equipment, the lift brand what brand is better?
Not the best, only better to see how much budget you have, and hundreds of domestic brands do it
Q: My passenger side tire has a nail in it. Its losing air really really slowly. I will not be able to bring it in until Tuesday and do not have a spare tire. I was going to drive another car, but could I lift the passenger side with a jack to relieve tire pressure on it? Would this be a good idea?If not please let me know what I should do so I can make it to belle tire safely on tuesday for them to patch it up for me. Helpful comments only please. Thanks!
maximum secure decision is to place your spare on and get on your nearest tyre depot. There are various factors dictating as to if or no longer it somewhat is repaired, IE has it been pushed on flat? the place is the hollow? how vast is it? what's the linked fee score of the tyre? any previous upkeep? it somewhat isn't any longer cautioned to force on a tyre with a nail in in any respect . Having mentioned all that usually all you get is a nail that hasn't easily punctured the tyre. the thank you to discover that's to place some soapy water on the nail then wiggle it gently. any sign of bubbles or foaming denotes an air leak so be arranged to alter the wheel in case this happens. in spite of you do i might get it appeared after earlier too long
Q: i have a 1978 ford f-150 4x4 long bed that i want to add a 3 inch body lift. i just dont know the best way to lift up the body i have a 2 car garage i dont want a suspension lift too exspensive. just need ideas for lifting up body.
Olive oil is a robust moisturizer for the hair, yet olive oil at very intense temperature gets broken consequently ensuing in little to no income except u in basic terms like the flavor of deep fried. in basic terms kidin. So my suggestion is heating it on the range for some seconds. I placed some extra virgin organic and organic olive oil in a spoon and place it over the flame for some seconds adequate to get it slightly heat. IMHO, warming in a microwave will harm the oil. Coconut oil on the different hand handles warmth o.k
Q: In a hydraulic lift, the radii of the pistons are 2.02 cm and 9.6 cm. A car weighing W 11.5 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston. (a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston?answer in N(b) When the small piston is pushed in by 9.8 cm, how far is the car lifted?answer in mmplease help me out i dont get it.it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can answer this for me thanks :)(c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W / Fa.
You can BUT I really do NOT suggest it. there is different technologies and grips and etc. involved that is different and special for each and every sport
Q: buying a car and i need to know what are the procedures to buying a car owner to owner? (paying cash)
Saltwater is fairly hard to take care of and yes damsels will mate if you get a pair.
Q: I understand basically that lifting it with a crank or hydraulic lift (usually equipped with most vehicles) is enough for changing a flat tire, but if I need to slide up under it,.what‘s the SAFEST method for getting underneath to do minor work on suspension? Need some advice here before I go and hurt myself. Thanks
NEVER WORK UNDER A CAR WHEN JUST RESTING ON THE JACK! That is a very good safety rule. Car ramps or car stands (jack stands), are best for when working under a vehicle at home, better still would be a pit or a hoist, but you're unlikely to have access to those. The ramps will elevate the car, either front or rear, but not both at the same time. The stands can be used to get all four wheels off the ground but then you will need four of them. For the ramps, you just drive your vehicle onto them. For the stands you jack up the car, put the stands in place, then remove the jack, making sure the stands are taking the weight on the chassis.
