black ironwire for the construction site rebar。The rolling of hot metal into 6.5mm thick steel wire rod is, then put it into the drawing device pulled into a different diameter of line drawing, andgradually narrow the aperture plate, cooling, annealing, coating and other processing of all kinds of different specifications of the wire. Itcontains ingredients are: iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, carbon, and other elements.

- Q: is it ok for a 32mm square THHN wire
- For THHN wire (90*c/194*F), you would need: #3 Copper Wire Gauge Size 110 amp rating (doesn't account for voltage drop for distance) #2 for aluminum wire. #3/0 Copper Wire Gauge Size 225 amp rating (doesn't account for voltage drop for distance) #4/0 for aluminum wire. Note: A licensed electrician should be consulted in you area as local codes may differ.
- Q: i know nothing about wire. thanks. :|
- Solder wire has a lower melting point, allowing you to melt it onto something else. In it's wire form, it will also snap very easily. (not good for fastening things together). Mechanical wire (I'm assuming electrical wire), is designed to withstand high temperatures (and hence, electrical currents), and are usually be bent much more. It's also usually sheilded in rubber (e.g. electrical cords, computer cables, coxial (tv) cable, etc).
- Q: i changed the sprak plugs wires on my 1990 300e and when i put the car on Drive it vibrates strongly. i kept checking that each wire is in the right place and on. do i need to restart the brain or reprogram the car ?
- Sounds like if you are sure the wires are in the right place, you might have spiked the coil assy. I would buy a $7.00 spark tested and make sure all wires are sending spark to the plugs.
- Q: I hooked up my Klipsch floor speakers with the old-cheapy wire and then bought, I think it was monster cable, and bi wired it. Big sound improvement. But I've heard pros and cons on monster cable. I have three zones to wire in my house. If I bi wire the other two zones what's the best wire to get? You can spend a small fortune on wire. If I bi wire, zone 2 would be 30 feet x 4 and zone 3 50 feet x 4. I read that if one of the wires is silver it's better as silver's the best conductor. This I knew already. But, when I bought the wire that I did, it didn't state anywhere on the label that it contained silver and I think that would be a drawing point. In fact, I didn't see any wire at that store that said it was part silver and it wasn't Walmart but a major electronics store. I did see some that had silver colored strains but so is steel and aluminum. I also read on another forum that CAT 5 wire works well for bi wiring? Thoughts? Opinion?
- They colour the wire by plating it. The silver is one conductor colour and the other wire is copper colour. Separate strands. This is so that you can keep the polarity straight when you are hooking up your system. You will also notice a raised ridge on the insulation of on conductor in two conductor wiring. Again it is a mark to let you tell the + from the - wires. Silver wire would be a good conductor, but much more expensive than copper and about equal in current flow. It would also corrode more and make for connection problems.
- Q: Hi,I'm looking to change the outlets and the switch and light fixture in a bedroom of a home built in 1948. The outlets are original to the home I think. Will I have to fish ground wire throught to the panel box for my new receptacles? Or just install new 2 slot outlets? Why the different looking wires? Is the older wire copper with a silver colored coating to indicate being neutral or is this an old aluminum wire? The hot wire is red plastic coated and looks modern to me.
- In '48 your house won't have a ground wire as you found out. If it is wired with BX cable ( metal clad) you can see in the basement or crawl space, the ground is actually taken to the outlet by the metallic casing. Then all you would have to do is get a bag of ground wires with screws already crimped on them at Home Depot called Greenies. You screw them into one of the holes inside the box and attach the other end to the ground screw on the switch or outlet. The red casing you are describing actually sounds like red electrical tape wrapped around deteriorating wire in the box as the other wire looks raggy. The wire you see that looks aluminum MAY be aluminum someone added in the '70's when al wire was used, but BOTH would be replaced and there would have been a ground wire. I don't know why it looks silver, but I have seen old wiring like that and it is usually copper. If you see the BX cable you are good adding the ground wire, if it is a silvery looking cloth casing, then install new NON-grounded receptacles.
- Q: I bought a new light that holds two light bulbs for my bathroom and quickly took off the old light. I then noticed that wall had three wires coming from it, a black, red, and white. The light however has four wires coming from it, 2 whites and 2 blacks. How do i wire this properly so both light bulbs can be turned on and off simultaneously?
- Since you have a black, red, and white wire coming out of the wall, this tells me you have a 3-way switch (meaning the light can be controlled by two different switches, correct?) If you only have one switch operating this light, then one of the wires may be (against building code rules) used as 'ground'. If only one switch is used with the light, then you'll need to switch the breaker off, then pull out the switch and see if a wire is attached to the green screw (ground). Black wire: Hot Red wire: Hot (three way circuit) White: Neutral Green or bare copper: ground
- Q: I think I have heard about flat cable wires?maybe even flat electrical wires.where you can hide them behind a base board.is this true?what are they called/thx
- flat co-ax cable would be an oxymoron, however there is flat twinlead. U need to know that twinlead is more likely to have interference problems though. electrical cable usually has 3 conductors so it is naturally kind of oval shaped people typically hide these behind baseboard or in the space below the baseboard if they have wall to wall
- Q: So I know that the neutral wire is the 'return wire'. But why does my textbook say that it has the potential to have the same amount of electricity as the live wire (if the wiring is faulty)? But essentially, if the wiring is not faulty it is technically safe to touch it, it has 0 volts.Could someone explain this to me?
- a million. whilst that is working regularly, Voltage could be present for the time of stay and independent twine. cutting-edge could flow from stay to independent twine. 2. whilst there's a fault, The voltage would be present interior the stay twine and since the circuit isn't closed, No cutting-edge could be flowing. 3. No that is no longer ultimate. yet at times, the earth twine could be transmitted to the sub station the place in its joined with the independent. 4. green 5. The Casing could be linked to earth. for this reason the independent is shorted with earth.
- Q: What is a wiring harness?
- A wiring harness is a plug in device most often used on your in dash head unit, it makes wiring easier because you can wire it while sitting down with plenty of lite then when you get in the car you can just plug it into the cars wiring and your ready to go...lots of modern autos also use a wiring harness for the speaker wires the advantages are less though because your only dealing with two wires.
- Q: can someone tell me what wire arcing is?
- is there a wire arcing to something?? is there a potential (voltage/current) on the wire? if the voltage exceeds the wire insulation, it can arc to a lower potential, usually something that is at ground (0) potential. if the insulation has been reduced due to chaffing or cut through, it can arc to a lower potential. now that we still need more info, we think that your wire arcing is electrical current going from one potential to another.
