Q: I have DirectWay and have a wireless router. I recently hardwired my computer in because I kept losing signal. The distance between my computer and the router is about 30 ft. But since I hardwired my computer in, it seems slower than when I ran the wireless adapter, i.e downloading videos and music. I was under the impression that wired was faster. What gives????: Very unusual for a wired Ethernet connection to be slower than a wireless connection. I would check cabling, also verify that you router is actually routing via NAT, some companies might try to prevent more than one computer from connecting to them without a specific contract, if your router can NAT the address, this will make it seem like you have only one computer connected. The problem is most likely a cabling issue, or misconfiguration on the Network card itself.

Q: I have two low voltage wires that run from one side of a building to another. The insulation on both wires is the same color. I eventually just walked an additional wire around the building and checked continuity. Is there an easier way to differentiate between the two wires?: i think i get what your saying if for example your running 3 black wires (the insulation is black)and each one is for example a line or hot wire i would take different colored tape and color code each one on each end it eliminates having to ring them out RING =continuity

Q: Can we use pilot wire protection to protect overhead line, and which country use this scheme ?: Pilot wire protection can be used anytime anywhere. The question is not where it is used but why, and is it required. Pilot wire protection provides better discrimination of fault location, than, say, an impedance or distance relay. If the zones are too close, pilot wire may be the only feasible solution. .

Q: could someone teach or explain to me how to hook up the 1st one, i do not understand what is happening there. How do you connect thoes wires to the main wire??? the distribution?: Ok, first thing you want to do is, for each subwoofer, wire a negative and positive together. You can use regular speaker wire to do that (well you're supposed to anyway). After that, you will have a negative and positive terminal left on each subwoofer. What you need to do is run a speaker wire from each of the terminals, so you have 6 different wires from 6 separate terminals. Make note of the 3 positive wires and the 3 negative wires. Now what you do is simply twist together the 3 positive wires together, so you have 1 positive wire. Connect that positive wire to the positive terminal of the amp (if it's a 1 channel amp. If it's a 2 channel, connect it to a bridged channel on the positive terminal. Or however you want.) Do the same for the 3 negative wires. Twist them together to have 1 negative wire, and connect it to the negative terminal on the amp. Finished! That kind of wiring is called Series wiring, by the way. The other kind is called Parallel wiring.

Q: Replacing my 3 prong dryer outlet but there is a blk, red, wht, and a bare wire in the box. I know where the colored ones go on the outlet but what do I do with the bare one? Q: One wire has part of the plastic coating on the end, the other wire does not.: the lead is the wires showing. lead wire can also mean attaching a wire and feed it through a wall attach other end to the wire and pull it through. Now if you need both ends to have wire showing take a utility knife firmly place wire on block of wood and lightly cut through the caseing. thats the thick wire that en cases the other wires and peal back and then cut it off. then carefully hold blade of utility knife and wire aganst your thumb on a 45 degrees away from you and pull that will strip the plastic off the wires hope that answers your question dave
