Q: Three parallel wires are each carrying a 4A current. ; wire A) is 6 mm from wire B) which is 3mm from wire C); The current in wires B and C are out of the paper, while A is into the paper. What is the magnitude and direction of the magnetic field halfway between wires A and B?I have tried using Biot-Savart Law but keep getting it wrong can someone please help? I also have an equation for two parallel wires but how do I relate it to two?
SO YOU HAVE TWO POINTS ON PAPER HAVING DISTANCE 2d. megnetic field zero will be on the mid point of this line. (there will be many points where the megnetic field will be zero but THERE IS ONLY ONE POINT ON PAPER)
Q: I've had my subs wired up for a while but want to see if there is a more efficient way to do it. Hardware: Sony Xplod 800w amp bridgeable amp - What's the best way to wire these up to get the most volume?
wire the voice coils to series on each sub and then wire the subs in parallel to the amp and voila.
Q: I just learned how to do 3-way wiring, so that I can turn a light off from 2 different switches. My question is, how do I add another light to that mix, so that both lights come on/go off at the same time when I turn the switches on and off? (It's for a closet that has 2 lights in it that I want to come on/go off at the same time).
Very basically, you must have two wires going from light to light. A black wire and a white wire.( A bare copper wire should be included with the pair. It is a ground wire and grounds both light boxes together.) Back to the black and white wires. The black wire should be connected to the black switch leg wire at the first light box as well as to the first light fixture. The white wire is the neutral and should be connected to the white wire of both light fixtures. That's called a parallel connection. Just a note: There are several ways to wire three way switches, so my answer presumes there are two wires going from one of the switches directly to the light fixture. (A white wire and a black wire).
Q: I just removed a Australian light switch that I've never seen before that controlled a bathroom ceiling fan and the bathroom light. (both buttons on a single panel switch)I have a black wire coming from the switch box that has 2 other black wires splitting out from the connection point, one of each going to the fan and the light. And a single black wire going to the ceiling fan and a red wire to the light.I'm just putting in your everyday off/on switch one for each the fan and the light. any help? what are the positive and negative wires?
If you are putting in two single pole switches, one for light and one for fan then each switch has two lugs. Take the two black wires that split from one connection point and tie one to one lug of a switch and tie the other black to one lug of the second switch. This will leave you with one remaining lug on each switch. Then tie the remaining black to the first switch and the red to the other switch.
Q: Consider a copper wire 1 mm in diameter providing the power needed to run an appliance drawing a 4.8 kW at 12 V. Assuming that no heat is radiated away from the wire while the current flows:A. What will the temperature of the wire be after the current has run for 1 second through the wire?B. What will the physical condition of the wire be at that time?(The wire was initially at 20 degrees C)
Assume the wire is 1 meter long. Resistance of a wire in Ω R = ρL/A ρ is resistivity of the material in Ω-m L is length in meters A is cross-sectional area in m? A = πr?, r is radius of wire in m resistivity Cu 17.2e-9 Ω-m or 17.2e-6 ohm-mm R = (17.2e-6)(1000) / π(0.5)? = 0.022 ohms Appliance current is 4800/12 = 400 amps Power is I?R = 400? x .022 = 3520 watts. Problem, this power is at a level almost as high as that of the appliance. In other words, the wire is too thin to sustain that power level. .

Q: I am installing an amp in my '04 Chevy crew cab truck and am running new wire for the speakers. I was able to get the fronts wired but when I broke into the back doors there is a feedthrough connector where I need to put the wires through. I am sure this connector contains the wires for my windows, door lights and the current speaker wires. My question is how do I get my new 18 gauge wires through to the speakers, am I missing something? Thanks in advance!!
You can do a couple things, fish a stiffer wire through with your wire taped securely to it or , i hate to say this but you could tape two wires( your speaker wire, and a replacement wire) and cut one , and pull the two thru taped to the cut one. then reattach the cut ones ends to the replacement.Thats provided the one u might cut can move freely back and fourth.
Q: subs - dvc 4ohm 2 of them 600wattrms on each wiring it to a 1200 watt amp same brand as sub amp is 1 ohm stable to i wire the subs together and then to the amp a 1ohm? that would give each sub 600 watts right?

Q: how do i wire a dual 2 ohm sub to an amp at 2 ohm
You can't. Dual 2 ohm subs can only be wired at 1 ohm or 4 ohm. To run an amp at a 2 ohm load you need a dual 4 ohm sub. You can get a second dual 2 ohm sub to match and then they can be wired together at a 2 ohm load.
Q: My computer kept switching all the time when ever I was playing a game. So I had alook in my computer and a wire I bought to extend the CPU wire. The extended wire had burnt so bad that the wire was showing out of the insulting. Will this effect my computer in any way because it was working fine and I shut it down before I took the wire out does it matter that my psu only has a 4 pin for CPU and my motherboard has a 8pin?
Rule #1, never add extension wires to any PSU to motherboard... If the wire does not fit, get a different case or different PSU... If the PSU is still working, you should be ok. Just get a proper cable to the motherboard (and/or change PSU). Melted wires are an indication of too much current in the wire for a given wire size. In plain words, the wires were too small for the load they carried. Since your mobo has an 8 pin CPU power socket, you MUST get a PSU that has the same 8 pin. In general, 8 pin can carry twice the current that 4 pin can, hence that is why your wires burned, you were putting too much current through the 4 wire, current that needed the 8 wire plug... A 4 wire will not work - ever, it will still overheat.... Get the right power supply !!!
