Q: hiI got a car radio quot;Grundig WKC 3680to stick to my car, I don't understand is the difference between : 12 VOLT BATTERY WIRE and 12 VOLT IGNITION WIRE, which one to use? Q: i know nothing about wire. thanks. :|: Solder wire has a lower melting point, allowing you to melt it onto something else. In it's wire form, it will also snap very easily. (not good for fastening things together). Mechanical wire (I'm assuming electrical wire), is designed to withstand high temperatures (and hence, electrical currents), and are usually be bent much more. It's also usually sheilded in rubber (e.g. electrical cords, computer cables, coxial (tv) cable, etc).

Q: i bought a wiring kit off OKorder it was a bullz 4 gauge kit. and i am running a rockford 500.2 n its rated for 700+ watts. so do you think my cheaper wiring kit is affecting performance? should i go snag up some bigger power wire for more power to run through it or is tht not how it wokrs?: you should add a capacitor to your system. a 5 fared should be good. it is a reserve for when the bass hits. it's less stress on your alternator and battery. and you won't get the headlight dimming affect when you have it cranked up. ask your local car audio shop. you should be good with 4 gauge.

If you decide to replace them, they are 18 gauge. Depending on the unit that you have, there may be 2, 3, 5, 7, or 9 wires. Install the wire in 3/8 flex to prevent a repeat. Lowes and Home Depot will sell you the wire by the lenght you need. Ask for jacketed wire.

First you would have to insulate the fence wire from the ground. That means it could not be touching the posts. Next you would need a fence charger, a power supply if it is not battery operated, and a ground rod. It is not as simple as hooking a wire to the fence.

Q: ok so i wired the subs to the amp now, the positive (Red) goes to the battery, the ground (Black) is currently grounded to the metal under my drivers seat. My question is does it matter the color wire is that goes to the stereo? Can i use a red or black? Does it really matter? If not, where exactly would i hook it up behind my aftermarket sony headunit?: ok man to answer your question NO , it does not matter what color the wire is. what DOES matter is that your using the same brand wire,(just because some 4 gauge wire is bigger than Other 4 gauge wire) and it MUST be the same gauge wire for positive and GROUND. You will also need to run the REMOTE TURN ON wire from the back of the headunit to the REM on the amp. (without this wire the amp does not know to turn on. Next thing is your RCA cables these will run from the back of the headunit to the input on the amplifier. Last thing (OBVIOUS) is the speaker wire both to wire the subs to the correct ohm load and to also run from the speaker terminal cup (if you have one in the sub box) to the amp. * Looking back i think i miss read the question, no the wire color does not matter, just make sure its the same size as the wire from the headunit (not bigger or smaller) so probably around 16-18 gauge wire, color does NOT matter.
