Q: I have rugs on hardwood floors but these gets dirty very quickly as I broom daily and vacuum once or twice a week and then clean the floor with murphy oil but still rugs gets dirty and whats the best way to keep neat and clean: the only way is to either vacuum daily, or if they rugs are small enough, shake them outside of all the excess dirt and dust. Imagine how much dirt would be on your floor if you didn't have the rug.

Q: We have been working out on the carpet in our basement for 6-7 months in the same spot. Now the carpet is rock hard from us working out on it. Is the carpet / padding ruined? Is there something we can do so the carpet doesn't' t get ruined?: You more than likely have crushed the fibers on the carpet. Depending on the type of carpet you may or may not get them to fluff or come back up. The padding also depends on the quality.A decent pad will come back but I m willing to bet it won t and you ve crush that permanently. Only thing to prevent this in the future id to stop working out on the carpet and onto a hard surface. Puttin a hard mat over the carpet will still crush the fibers.
