Q: I AM GETTING FED-UP! (how often do we hear ourselves yelling this mantra when that Life-long warrantee on the oven means quot;the life of the Productquot;?)I am feverishly shopping to replace the DYSON(r) vacuum cleaner that I bought and used only a few times. - Is this common for Dyson (stand-up) vacuum cleaners to clog-up the air chamber commonly with the dust, debris and whever-else I clean from my carpet?Does the Dyson vacuum technology surpass its predecesor (bags)? - If so, how / which debris SHOULD I clean with this unit so it will work without my having to totally-disassemble the entire unit to wash it out so it will work?
I have been happy with Kenmore (Sears) canister vacuums, having bought two of them over the last 33 years. Fairly easy to get replacement parts for them.
Q: We have a Dirt Devil vacuum currently that we've had forever. It's fantastic but I'm wanting to replace it finally. I'd like a steamer/shampooer but obviously don't need to do that weekly. I'd prefer not to have to purchase both a vacuum and a steamer. Is there an affordable alternative which can do both?Thank you!
This Site Might Help You. RE: Is there a Vacuum and Steamer/Shampooer Combo? We have a Dirt Devil vacuum currently that we've had forever. It's fantastic but I'm wanting to replace it finally. Q: how are vacuums and airplanes similar?
vacuum cleaners, not the vacuum of space, right? Probably the cyclonic nature of the engine that creates the suction.
Q: I need one new wheel for my Panasonic vacuum, Its a eco-max. Model MC-UL592. I have tried to contact Panasonic but after nearly 40 minutes on hold without even speaking to anyone i gave up. If you know any sites that sell wheels please tell me as i can only find ones that sell other parts.
defiantly try their website
Q: Are you scared of vacuum cleaners too?
Of course, I need a good excuse not to have to vacuum around here ;-)
Q: My wife and I are stumped trying to find an answer. I have these crazy bouts of itching that is seemingly not stopping. I went to the allergist and had some allergy test ran. He said that I am allergic to dust mites, grass/weed, and cat hair. We have been cleaning our house top to bottom with a Hepa filter vacuum (Dyson) and installed bed covers and pillow covers that are dust mite proof. We have wiped down the walls, the roof, and pretty much everything but the itching continues. I don't go outside much and work from home. Does anyone know of what might cause this? We have ruled out lice or bed bugs. I don't know if it helps much but I've had gastric bypass surgery. Please help...we are driving ourselves nuts with the constant cleaning and vacuuming. I've tried Cortozone 10 and allergy meds but they only seem to put a small dent in the itching.
I'm not sure. I think you should ask your doctor.
Q: How does a bagless vacuum cleaner filter the dust? Does it cost as much to replace the filter as a bag?
The best filters are HEPA and they are more expensive than bags, but they can last longer and some are reusable. The bagless vacuums can be pretty messy, though. They make bags with good filtering capability. And in any case, I prefer to just change a bag and be done with the mess.
Q: I have 6 cats and need a vacuum cleaner that the filter is not going to stop up every few minutes. I have gone through 3 bagless vacuum cleaners in the last few months but they have been vaccums from walmart like eureka and such. I can vacuum over a small piece of trash in the living room and the vacuum just pushes the trash around, lol. Help!
I personally love my Dyson. I have the Dyson animal, it is a bit more expensive. I have 3 large dogs in the house and have had it for 4 years now, and I don't have any complaints.
Q: A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.quot;Good morning, said the young man. quot;If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners.quot;quot;Go away!said the old lady. quot;I haven't got any money!quot;, quot;I'mbroke!and she proceeded to close the door.Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the doorand pushed it wide open. quot;Don't be too hasty!he said. quot; Not until you have at least seen my demonstration. And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure on to her hallway carpet.quot; If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder. The old lady stepped back and said, quot;Well I hope you've got adamned good appetite, because they cut off my electricity thismorning.quot; What part of broke do you not understand?
Heard it!!!!
Q: What would you do if your child has phobias of water, darkness, cars, vacuum cleaners and dust?
Desensitize her to her fears. Vacuum: Have her sit on the couch and show her the vacuum but do not turn it on. Point out what every visible part of the vacuum is and explain what the vacuum does. Then, have her touch the different parts of the vacuum. After this, show her how to turn the vacuum on and have her turn it on. Convince her to push the vacuum. Go slowly and, eventually, she will lose her fear of the vacuum. Cars: Show her pictures of cars in her favorite color. Show her different kinds of cars, trucks, vans, buses etc. Tell her how important cars are and that they can take her places like the store, school, the park, etc. Have her sit in the car with you and have a picnic. Allow her to honk the horn, turn the wipers on and play with the radio. Then, plug her in and turn the car on. Tell her that cars are not toys, she should never get in one alone and she should never crawl under one or stand behind one. Later, turn the car on and have her stand outside the car with you so she can experience the noise while you explain car safety to her. Water: Play some fun games in the bathtub. Show her the shower and have her use it to make bubbles in the bath. Put colored bubbles in the water and use toys and such. You can even put on a swimsuit and get in with her so she isn't so afraid. Take her to places where she can play in a shallow pool and where you guys can look at waterfalls. Show her video's of water falls on youtube. Darkness: This is a common fear. Try playing games in the dark, leaving only a night light on. Try eating dinner by candle light and going outside at night to look at the stars. This will help her feel more comfortable with it being dark but she may still need a nightlight at night. Dust: Show her how to draw pictures in the dust. Explain to her that it wont hurt her. Then, show her how to get rid of the dust.
