Q: My old vacuum cleaner is slowing breaking down. I've been looking around at new vacuum cleaners and everyone talks about how good the Dyson vacuum is. Is it worth it?
I have a Dyson Animal. I just bought it 3 months ago. I have two very hairy dogs and it does wonders on the carpet! When I got it I vacuumed the carpet with the old vacuum and then I did it again right away with the Dyson and you wouldn't believe how much stuff that dyson picked up. I love love love it. Best investment ever for me.
Q: Hi all,Bought a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner yesterday as they claimed it picked up 99.5% of the dirt compared to what's on today's market, which picks up 5%. But for those of them who have them at home, did you find them better than what you had previously?
YES! my mom has one and she used it to clean the house and everything looks much better and cleaner. my dad has one as well (my parents r divorced) and when i visit him his carpets look all clean and everything. they DO make a difference.
Q: So I went on a trip, and I put my clothes in SpaceBags to save space. Problem is, there's no vacuum in the hotel for when I'm repacking to go home. I only brought one bag, and there's a one-bag limit. No carry ons. What do I do about it?
Ask the Hotel's housekeeping staff if they have a vacuum you can borrow Buy another Suitcase and pay the Extra Bag Fee. Stuff as much as you can into the suitcase. if you have someone who can keep sitting on the items and pushing them down. Go to a local shipping store and have them ship any extra items back by something like UPS/FedEx. If you can do without things for a few days, sending it ground may be a cheaper alternative to buying the extra suitcase and paying the extra bag fee. Decide what you no longer want to have and find a local charity to donate the items to. Leave them in the Hotel for them to just take or throw away.
Q: I'm looking for a picture of the girl dragging the vacuum cleaner around in the movie quot;Oncequot;. I tried using google image search but couldn't find it, maybe I used the wrong keywords. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
okorder good luck.
Q: guys, i lost the fuse of ma vacuum cleaner,so 2 replace a new one, i need to know the fuse rating...so please tell me how much amperes is the fuse of hitachi CV-2900
3amps on most vacuum cleaners
Q: it seems to be depositing the dust and crap back out. The carpet ends up worse then it originally was! The band defiantly hasn't broken as the brush is still spinning. Its past its warranty (conveniently lol)Any ideas?
First thing, you must check the filters. Make sure they are either clean or replaced if needed. If this does not do for you, there's a possibility that either the hose or the auger intake compartment are plugged with lint from the carpet or hair from Fido or Missifu. To clean the hose, disconnect it, take it out of the house, stick a wooden stick to remove lint or hair and then give it a blast of water using the garden hose. Make sure to inspect the intake uger is free of lint as well. To clean the auger intake you can use a piece of wire. It always work for me...! good luck...!
Q: Washing MachinesVacuum CleanersDishwashersDryersElectric IronsHand held hair dryers
Individually, the time line could spread out over 60 or 70 years. As a whole, there are still items on your list that are not common in all homes. For instance, when I was married my wife did the dishwashing by hand and now I still do it the same way. I have no need for a hair dryer but if I did, what other type would I be likely to use in my home other than a hand held?
Q: what are the faults that occur in a vacuum cleaner how to rectify them ? esp. when its not getting start .i think it contains a dc motor (but of what type i dont know).thanks in advance
given your level of knowledge about vacuum cleaners my best advice would be throw away the broken one and buy a new one. But let's say you decided not to take that advice. Then take the broken machine to a professional repairman. Let's say you didn't want to do that either. First let me warn you again that one of the first two solutions are your best bet. So you can't afford a new vacuum cleaner or to pay someone else to fix it. Ok. Unplug it from the wall. Check the plug and power chord carefully. Look for anything broken or bent. Replace any broken, bent or worn parts. By the way, make sure the outlet is functional. Take something you know is working and plug into the same outlet. If the working item does not work in that particular outlet then the outlet is broken. If the forgoing did not fix the machine then you really, really need to go with the first or second suggestion. If you can't then you have to open up the machine and see if you can find out anything wrong with the innards. Before doing that, check the vacuum hose, intake and filter. Make sure that none of these is clogged or broken. Replace any broken parts and clear any clogs. If you have to open up the machine then we are out of my depth. Yes I could tell you that after you make very, very, VERY, certain that the damn thing is not plugged into the wall, use a volt ohm meter to check the continuity of the wires and replace any broken ones. But if you don't know what a volt ohm meter is, you need to give this project up before hurt yourself.
Q: Hey people, please help me if you know anything about vacuum cleaners....I put a new bag in it, but it has no suction and its not spinning when I turn it over, could it be the belt or what?!?!
start with the belt since it's not spinning. if that doesn't fix it then look further. i've found that belts wear out fairly quickly on most vacuum cleaners these days. good luck.
Q: Were Hoover vacuum cleaners ever sold door to door?
yes, and my grandma had a salesman come and tried to sell her one, he kept insisting , so she let him do his thing, he put dirt on the floor, while giving his speech, telling how great it did, then he asked where he could plug it in at ? she told him they didn't have electricity, .she made him clean it up, shot his sale lol and no we didn,t have electricity back then,
