- I prefer wood over carpet everywhere. It's so much easier to maintain and you can choose great room size or throw rugs to change your decor when you want. Carpets are high maintenance and require constant vacuuming and steam cleaning. Hardwoods are easy to Swiffer for dust and clean with OrangeGlo hardwood polish and cleaner. Hardwoods are elegant also. I would opt for the hardwoods.

- First thing that comes to my head is silver or gray. And you can find window treatments with nice subtle patterns and textures. I am sure you could also find a rug that ties in the colors you have now along with some grays and silvers. I may even suggest popping in some red into that rug too. With accent pillows you can pull out more of the silver and red. I also am a huge fan on mercury vases.. you can find them in the silver family that would look cool too! - Spanking him on the butt does not help. Early in the morning and at exact intervals you need to take your dog to the right spot. This will become a habit. Its like teaching a child. You need patience and keep training at the right time.
- Q: my 1yr old always manages to find bits on the floor and eats themhow is it i can vac 3 times a day and yet she always finds something to chew on off it??does your child love carpet food as much as mine and does it actually do any harm?
- My 6 month old is already like that...he will try and try to pick up the tiny-est bit on the carpet, when he has toys to play with all over! I don't think it really does them any harm. I vaccuum once a day.

- Q: In new construction, with concrete floors.I am putting in bifold closet doors which have a track on both the top and bottom of the door.Should I wait until the carpet is in to put the track on the floor, or should I put it in and let the carpet installer carpet up to both sides of the track?Thanks.
- Let them lay the carpet, and then screw your tracking down.
- Q: I have not always found snug bugs in my rugs......so I am taking a poll here today to see if this saying could have some real validity to it. Do YOUR rugs have snug bugs? - Q: We have carpet in our kitchen, that's right CARPET! We want the carpet out and purchased some vinyl flooring to replace it. However we just found out that the carpet is GLUED down and therefore a much bigger project to remove it than we once thought. So, we were wondering if the vinyl can be installed on top of the carpet. Like I said the carpet is glued down and it is very low and smooth there is very little give to it when you walk on it.
