Storage of AR Glassfiber Chopped Strand for Concrete:
AR fiberglass chopped strand should be stored dry in their original package, the best conditions being at a temperature of between 15 and 35, and at a relative humidity of between 35 and 65%. If the product is stored at low temperature (below 15), it is advisable to condition in the workshop for 24 hours before use to prevent condensation.
- Q: How long should I let new cement cure before I can build on it?
- First of all, cement does not cure... ncrete cures. Cement is just one component of concrete. The curing is the hydrating of the lime that sets up and develops its strength. Concrete will reach about 80% of its strength in 7 days. Almost 100% after 28 days. There are many kinds of concrete depending on the admixtures. These can slow down curing, speed up curing, hardeners and strength modifiers, cold weather and water-proof. Generally speaking, 8 hours after placing the concrete, cut your control joints (concrete shrinks as it cures, about 1/8 per 10 feet of length) and to lay wet burlap on the surface. This will slow curing but help with consistant curing. Corners will cure faster and accentuate cracks if control joints are not adequate.

- ok, if u r driving a cement truck y do u think u need a tanker endorsment? A cement truck is a 10+ wheeled straight truck with a cement mixer on back...it needs class b with airbrake (if equipped) endorsment.

- Q: I used Black Jack roofing cement to fill a small gap where a piece of flashing was missing. I put a pretty good size bead/glob to ensure I filled in the small gap and the gap between the roof and the bottom piece of hardiplank. So, you can imagine how thick it is. It has be a good day and a half since I have done it and it's just as wet as when it came out of the tube. Is this normal? And, if it stays like will the force of a heavy rain mess the bead up? Thanks for any input!
- It's supposed to stay liquid/flexible and self sealing. It;s not designed for large gaps the way you used it. If you're stuck for a patch, try a few layers of aluminum foil coated and fixed in place with that cement to close the gap. Not as good as replacing the flashing, but better than what you've got.

- Modern dentists usually use methal arcylate cement. Allergies to arcylates are extremely rare, but rare does not mean non-existent. So it is possible that you are indeed allergic to the cement. An allergist physician can probably test you to see if that is your problem. In the old days, before arcyclates, dentists sometimes used zinc phosphate as a cement. You might talk to your dentist to see if he can get that to use on you. (It might help if your dentist is older. I suspect many recent graduates have never even heard of alternatives to arcylate cement.) If that doesn't work, check in your area to see if there are any dentists who hold out as being natural, homeopathic, or similar terms. They may offer alternative treatments and alternative cementing compounds.

- Tape with CEMENT board tape also. I ve seen people use dry wall nylon tape but its not the same.A vapor barrier is required behind either. Suggestion .. Seal slate ( if it s a natural stone and not a slate looking tile) Seal once before installing and once after installing , it easy to do As far as spacing it personal choice. For a 12 x12 I use 1/4 in for a couple reasons..Size varies w/ all tile and it gives a bit more play when setting.
