Q:Start a new type of cement products building materials company, I would like to ask after the environmental protection project, qualification and related procedures can be issued directly can not how to take the procedure
You can close through the intermediary, environmental companies or directly talk about the Environmental Protection Agency, whether the local can grant such a project
Q:I've read that you can repaint it if you decide you want a different color, but if you like the color can you just leave it or do you have to repaint it every few years, like wood siding?
Unless you buy the cement board siding already painted you will need to paint it. As for painting it every few years like wood....the paint will hold up much better on the cement board.
Q:I want to build a room in my basement.I am just doing the research.how does the bottom 2x4 connect to the cement floor ?also, for the wall, how far apart are the studs ?
There are concrete nails/screws/fasteners -- check at your local hardware store. Studs are either 16 or 24 on center, meaning measured from the center of one stud to the center of the next.
Q:Or, why does cement curl at all?
I have never seen cement curl, possibly don't understand- sorry. As far as dryness. Concrete when poured starts to cure and set immediately. The outer edges cool or cure faster than the inside area because there is more sq inches exposed to the air. Sometime in the late evening go out barefoot and stand on a sidewalk that has been in the direct sunlight during the day. You will notice if you put your foot on the edge it is much cooler than the middle - same thing the edge has more surface and edge exposed to allow it to cool quicker. Sorry about the curling - I just didn't understand - my fault.
Q:When installing cement backer board, is it necessary to put down some thin set mortar and then lay the board and screw in place, or can I do without the thin set?
If you want to do it right I would apply the thin set and use the screws.
Q:whats the risk of having a house on a cement slab? what are the positives and the negatives? and how long do they last? ?
Some thoughts to consider: First, If you live in a climate that gets any kind of cold weather the slab will feel cool or even cold to the touch. The solution to this is to put in a hydronic in-slab heat. Even if you don't put the hydronic heat in, do put rigid foam insulation under the slab, it WILL save money on heating costs (unless you live in a tropical climate). Second, if you do put tile on the slab, be sure to use a membrane between the tile and the slab. It will add a little cost, but if you don't, any cracks in the concrete will just come through and crack your tile (and you know what they say about concrete, there's two kinds, concrete that's cracked and concrete that's going to crack). Third, DO NOT let anyone talk you into putting forced air ducts under the slab unless they use the blue plastic HK duct. The HK seals completely. If they use the old PVC style duct under the slab you WILL get mold in the ductwork. Slab homes can be fine, if they're built right. They will last just as long as a home with a basement or crawlspace.
Q:Is there a law about the distance between the cement plant and the residential area?
Is there a law about the distance between the cement plant and the residential area?
Q:Quartz Arenite, Shale, Carbonatite, Greywacke, Limestone, Arkose, Altered Granite or Rhyolite?
Limestone is used in Portland cement. Powdered clay is mixed with powdered limestone and heated in a revolving kiln. This produces cement which is then combined with water, crushed rock and sand before pouring.
Q:Cement grinding aids are chemical or building materials ah what is based on ah?
Belong to the chemical category, the type of cement grinding agent and the type of concrete admixture company is the same
Q:What is the good introduction for cement?
Actually cement is nothing but a normal paste or binder.. there is a setting time of a cement .. time of every cement varies depending on the GYPSUM used. In the most general sense of the word, a cement is a binder, a substance which sets and hardens independently, and can bind other materials together. The word cement traces to the Romans, who used the term opus caementicium to describe masonry which resembled concrete and was made from crushed rock with burnt lime as binder. The volcanic ash and pulverized brick additives which were added to the burnt lime to obtain a hydraulic binder were later referred to as cementum, cimentum, c?ment and cement.
