Q:Last december I got a car which has been stored in a garage for about 5 years, but it's been taken out now and then to make it run a little. When I bought it the steering wheel was very wobbly, so I got some new tires. When I got the tires on the tire repairer told me the rims were pretty bent. So after a couple of months I got some new rims as well. After I got the new rims the steering wheel still was a very little bit wobbly sometimes. Of course I did a wheel alignment as well.I just had a job done which required a cv joint to be removed, and I went for a drive. The steering wheel again is very wobbly at about 100kph, and SOMETIMES it wobbles very badly when braking. I'll probably do another wheel alignment, but what am I looking for exactly? Are the wheel bearings gone?
You have stated that after the CV removal job the steering is, to you again wobbly. To me I would check that the lug nuts are tight and go back to the shop that had it last, they did something wrong and need to repair it. You need to stop thinking it is the same old thing, it didn't do it before the work but does after, that's not right.

That same thing happened to me! So, I asked my mom, and she said that if you oil the center piece of the wheel with cooking oil, (that way if they lick the oil, it won't cause them any harm.) it will be silent. I tried it, and sure enough, it worked! But, it was alot of work to oil it so often. There is a special type of wheel called a Silent Spinner. We bought that, and our problems were solved! So, I would either oil the wheel, or, buy a silent spinner. Worked for me!

Q:The way I understand it, backspacing will effect how far out/in you wheels are when on the car. So if I decrease my backspacing, my wheels will stick out farther? If so is this safe to do? I just want the wheels flush with the body of the car.
if you wish the wheels to stick out further, you must add a spacer/s or move the wheel centre closer to the back of the rim, adding small thickness spacers will not damage your wheel brg, but for the best look keep the back spacing the same and buy rims that are wider along with new rubber.
