- Q: Alto low-speed driving wheel jitter how to do
- Resonance causes resonance at a particular speed, and if high-speed oscillations occur at a particular speed range, it is generally caused by resonance phenomena. The tire wear can never be uniform, which will cause the rotation of the center of mass and rotation of the central axis does not coincide, causing local vibration; the same time, the car body as a mechanical vibration system there is a natural frequency, when the two frequencies Coincide, it will cause the body and tire resonance.
- Q: Ok, so for the last 3 weeks my longboard was stolen and I just recently received my board back with the help of the police. So I‘ve gotten it back and my wheels are basically caked with dirt into them, and they‘ve lost the original bluish green that they had and when you wipe them off they are now dark green except for the insides of the wheels. My question is how can I clean my wheels to recover their original color? Am I screwed? Thank you
- Remove the wheels from the trucks, pop out the bearings then you just wash the wheels with soap and water. Whee;s change color over time. Oxidation, sunlight and dirt may cause discoloration. The wheels will still perform fine.
- Q: I have stock wheels on my skates that are a 95A. I want a wheel with more grip. I am new to roller derby and my wheels are making me uncomfortable. Help please.
- The kind of indoors wheels needed will depend on the kind of surface your team is skating on. If it's wood, you can get away with a harder wheel. If it is concrete, I would suggest a softer, grippier wheel. Here's an example: My indoor wheels are Radar flat outrageous. size 62 mm (average size) softness 88a (I skate on smooth concrete which is why i use a softer wheel) When you say uncomfortable do you mean that you're slipping and falling all over the place? Or is it that you feel like your working too hard to gain speed? 95A are pretty hard. Radar makes good, soft wheels. Radar Flat Out's are good for beginners. You can look into the Mojo's too, which have aluminum hubs. You can also look into Heartless wheels, which offer a large selection of different softness. They are a really good brand. Made by Quadzilla: Reigning KING of Roller Derby. I guess since I don't know the kind of surface you skate on, I would ask your fellow league members what is best for them.it will give you an idea as to what softness or hardness you need.
- Q: I got my hamster Tilly yesterday she is 6 weeks old. She has a really roomy cage and it has an exercise wheel (of course) the wheel and the bit that attaches it to the cage is plastic and it makes an awful noise. I know that if you have a metal one you put vegetable oil on it but is there a blanket or something i can buy for the plastic wheels and no im not buying a new wheel. Thanks please answerAmy
- No of course not, but I have to ask. Why do you even have to ask?
- Q: For school, I need to build a balloon powered car. My car is made of balsa wood, and so are my wheels. They are around 5 cm in diameter and very thin. My axle is a nail. My wheels keep on leaning to the side, causing my car not to move. I need this car to move at least 5 meters. How can I make my wheels stand straight? I tried gluing something around the wheels, to no success.
- Balsa is terribly soft to use for the wheels. In particular, the hub is going to take a beating and will result in the wheels doing what you describe. Large and thin is the way to go for the wheels, but with balsa you will need some way to strengthen them. One thing that you might try doing is soaking the balsa wheels with super glue. Do it on waxed paper so that they don't sitck to anything. Only use enough super glue to get the balsa wet. You don't want gobs of glue. Once the glue sets, the wheels will be much stronger. and the hubs will be able to withstand the wear better. Alternatively, make a better hub. Find a thin tube like the insides of a cheap ballpoint pen. Cut a short length (1 cm or less) and insert that through the center of your wheel. Glue the wheel to the outside of the tubing. Then the tubing will slip over your axle, providing the lateral stability that you need without adding too much friction. Good luck!
- Q: i know Audi R8 is backwheel drive, and its a good drifter. why does back wheel drive cars drift better?
- The Audi R8 is all-wheel drive. All four wheels receive power from the engine. Most consumer cars are front-wheel drive. Generally, rear-wheel drive cars are sports cars. They drift better because in a corner, as the power is at the back, the tail of the car is pushed outward. In a front-wheel drive car, the power is at the front, and the car is simply pulled along.
- Q: I need help removing the steering wheel in a lexus ls400 1990
- Like with any steering wheel you need to remove the cover first (either whole cover, or emblem covering the bolt) and then there will either be an airbag housing (tough to remove) or the steering wheel bolt right in the middle. If you have an airbag, you'll need to remove that first. Once you see the bolt, untighten the bolt, remove, and remove the steering wheel.
- Q: im obviously an idiot, and still cant find anything in a google search. Im getting a new car which will have steel wheels. I would like to put rims on them. so if i purchase a set of 4 rims, can they be installed? are wheels and rims the same thing? i understand rims are alloy.
- If you say nice wheels you could be talking about the car itself or the rims. Steel wheels are basic, and often come with wheel covers, or what old people call hubcaps. Rims generally refers to something that looks nice and is some sort of alloy. They can cost anywhere from $70 a piece to thousands. They will pull the steel wheels and replace them with the rims. I assume the dealer is doing it. IF you are ordering rims yourself, make sure they are compatible with the car. Not all rims fit on all cars.
- Q: The Ducks are doing this shoot 4 the cure thing and it is going to be at the rink where I play hockey. Yay, I am so excited! How many people do you think will be there, I read that there will be 400 tickets sold. I want to go but I wonder if it will be too crowded and it will be a waste of time to go out there.Anyways, I guess a more hockey related question would be, if I change only a few wheels, will it through me off. I have two cracked wheels, one on the front and one on the back, and the one on the back on the other skate is pretty worn down. I am not a great skater as it is and I don't want to throw off my balance or anything worse than it is.
- well dude ive had that wheel problem before and ive seen many more times after that. there are a few options. a. you can replace the cracked wheel with a new one of the same kind. b. just take off that wheel and save up for new wheels while playing without that wheel on your skate. c. just buy a whole new set of wheels. possibly OKorder i got 3 sets of wheels for just under 25 dollars.
- Q: skateboard wheels.
- just that, it's a flat spot, not rounded.
