Q: I have a road bike that came with 700c wheels. So can I use 650c wheel on my bike and will it fit? What are the size differnce between 700c and 650c? I know that 700c is have like 622mm diamater or something but i dont know how many mm is 650c wheels.: 650c wheels are 51mm smaller in diameter than 700c wheels. This means that the radius of the wheel is 25.5 mm smaller. It would be nearly impossible to find brakes that would fit. The smaller wheels would also put your pedals 25.5 mm closer to the ground increasing the chance of pedal strike. The smaller front wheel would also change the steering geometry of the bike. There is too big a difference between the two wheel sizes to make the switch EDIT: If the bike is too big for you, it will still be too big with smaller wheels. You might get a lower stand over height with smaller wheels, but the length of the top tube will not change and will still be too long for you

Q: I need some wheels that are really good for exclusively sliding. I dont need to worry about doin anything else: Orangatang-Fat Free 65mm in yellow are nasty sliding wheels. I'd recommend them for exclusively sliding but get them in orange if you want them to have a little more grip. Either way, great wheels. Hope this helps!

The differential allows this. A differential consists of a ring gear, (aligned with the axial length of the vehicle,) and contains a minimum three spider gears that the axle gears drive off of. As the car enters a turn, the spider gears on the ring gear allow one wheel to turn faster than the other. A Lego drive set can illustrate it best for you. Due to torque and friction, a standard, (the one you referred to,) slip differential typically applies power to the tire that has the least traction; it's the most inexpensive to produce due to mechanical simplicity, resultantly being the most common on the roads. Positrac, common on older muscle cars, basically locks the rear end, (another word for differential or final drive,) under heavy acceleration. Locking differentials mechanically lock both axles together when centrifical force from a single wheel spinning mechanically engages the other axle. In a turn, front tires, left and right, rear tires, left and right, are all turning at the same speed, so all-wheel-drives feature a center differential to allow the wheels to maintain maximum grip on the road in a turn. And many 4x4 enthusiasts, invest in aftermarket, selectable, differential locks to ensure that if one wheel slips, (or is just hanging in the air,) the other three wheels have power to them. Open the brake and then spin the wheel, if it wobbles side to side, then the wheel needs to be trued. Using what you posted as an example, since it is too far to the left, you tighten the spokes on the right. This will pull the rim away from the left and towards the right. You tighten the spokes so that the rim doesn't wobble side to side. Ideally you try not to loosen spokes unless you have to and then only as little as possible.
