Q: does anyone know how to remove my steering wheel from a 96 mitsubishi ecplise: First disconnect the battery let it go for 15 min. to discharge the airbag then remove the 2-4 bolts in the back of the steering wheel. Then remove the yellow wire which is the air bag wire (possibly more wires depending on if you have cruise control, etc.) once the air bag is removed put it away from you cause it could still possibly go off. Then get a 19 or 22 millimeter socket remove the nut. Then get a steering wheel puller.
