- Q: How does the skis of the car skate up the wheel?
- Preparation work can not be less
- Q: My penguin 150 filter wheel isn‘t spinning? I have tried old, and new cartridges with no luck of the wheel spinning. However, when I push the cartriage up and down creating lots of water movements, the wheel spins. It also spins when I turn the wheel manually, but stops spInning when I finish spinning it. Can someone please tell me what to do? I am going to petsmart tonight anyways, so should I ask them? I just don‘t know if I can wait till tonight for an answer as I don‘t think the tank is being filtered.
- the wheel only has to turn once a minute, so when you say it isn't spinning you may think it has to spin fast and it doesn't. It works best just barely moving. the only other thing that you can do is check to be sure the shaft isn't cruddy with mineral deposits or hair etc. do not clean the wheel in tap water, ever. sometimes the wheels get out of balance and a good rinsing in dirty tank water usually knocks off extra debris. again, it doesn't have to spin, one rotation a minute is fine and you should never have to replace the wheel unless it becomes damaged NOTE: the other user is correct, it may also need the impeller and the impeller well cleaned. Be careful and reassemble it properly
- Q: what are other names for a pottery wheel
- Other than a pottery wheel, the most used term would be the potter's wheel. It has also been called a potter's lathe. Other types of wheels include: --kick wheel --treadle wheel --electric pottery wheel, or motor driven wheel In ancient times, potters made turntables, or tournettes, to use to coil pottery faster which they turned by hand. Later the coiling turned into throwing the pots as the wheel progressed. Sometimes this was done with a stick put in an indentation in a round stone that the potter turned. In some third world countries it is still done that way. When the kick wheel was invented, it made the work much easier. The treadle wheel, like the one Bernard Leach used, also was a precursor to our modern electric pottery wheel.
- Q: For Mario Kart Wii, does each player need a ‘wii wheel‘? i believe the game comes with one, but do you have to get extras if playing with others? or is it more for show?
- You can play with the Wii Wheel, WiiMote + Nunchuck, Gamecube Controller, or Original
- Q: Bought a used car, today to the card, the car does not pass, that my tires modified, the hub increased, and now how to do it? Can my car never get a card? Good regret did not find a regular second-hand car platform to buy.
- Che Kwun where the car will give you a parameter table, above your rim specifications, according to this specification, buy the same specifications of the casting wheels, the cheaper the better, do not ask why, because cheap, as long as To ensure that you open to the car on the line, if you can, then get four BMW stickers in the middle, so after the car on the check on the card, directly for large size forging, the four poor casting circle to keep after Vehicle inspection.
- Q: can you put mercedes C230(2005) wheels one a mercedes C240 (2003)?Additional Detailsthe C230 wheels are 17‘‘ and the C240 what i have wheels are 16‘‘
- There are so many wheels available for MBz, you could never get mixed set of wheels to fit both the front and rear of a C230 to fit on a C240. There are too many variables, from wheel diameter, to wheel offset, to tire size, to aspect ratio, to MS to Winter and All Weather types. You might find that 2 tires fit ok on the rear wheels, but not on the front. If the tires are just one size too large you may not be able to clear the steering knuckles. If you have a TIRE RACK near you, you might be wise to inquire about what they have to fit your cars.
- Q: I am planning on getting new wheels for the car, and I have a couple questions about the offset as I do not understand it 100%So the current offset of my stock wheels are at +37If I get new wheels and the offset is 20, how would that make a difference on the appearance/handling.Will it make the wheels stick out more or go in more? And would hub centric wheel spacers be recommended to make up for the difference? Would the handling be worse on the car? Thanks for your help!
- If you were to replace ET37 with ET20, assuming they are the same width rim/tire, the wheel will stick OUT by 17 millimeters. I would guess this will be too aggressive and stick out of your wheel well and most likely rub against the fender. Forget about spacers with this setup as it would be counter-intuitive. If the new wheels are wider, it will stick out even further. If the new wheels are thinner, then it might mitigate the difference but this is unlikely since ET20 wheels typically come on aggressive looking cars like the M3 and would definitely be a wider wheel. If you were to go the other way, ie. ET44, then you would want 7 mm spacers (in this example) to offset the difference and reduce the tucked look, again assuming same width. As for handling, having your wheels further out makes the car a bit more stable, and looks much better in my opinion. My car is oem ET31 and I have ET47 winter rims, implying they're tucked in 16mm compared to stock. I didn't use spacers last winter, I thought it handled just fine, could barely notice any difference in both city and highway driving. However, they looked strange from behind due to the offsets. Hope this helps you understand offsets a bit better. I would look for a similar offset and avoid spacers altogether if possible. Good luck!
- Q: First of all i live in Michigan, so the winters get pretty nasty.I want to get a 1994 Mazda miata, a little two seater convertible. This car is rear wheel drive and my dad wants me to get a front wheel drive car because he says its much safer during the winter. Is this true? And how much safer is it??
- If rear wheel drive is so bad, how did we survive? Nobody had FWD until Olds made the Toronado, and not very many of them were on the road, but we still made it everywhere we wanted to go. Why are most taxis and police cars RWD? Why is Pontiac going back to RWD? Why is Chrysler making more RWD? Why is Mustang still RWD. What about Mercedes, and most Volvos? The truth is FWD is no safer that RWD in the winter, it is all about having the right winter tires and knowing how to drive. That isn't to say some cars aren't better balanced for winter driving than others. The best winter driving car I have ever owned was a 1976 Mercury Bobcat wagon, RWD. A close second is a 1995 Escort, FWD. I have also driven full size RWD cars in winter without problem. I would suggest the Miata may not be the greatest winter car unless you plan on putting a good set of winter tires, like Michelin X-Ice, or something like that. Not because it is a rear wheel drive car, but because it is a small low car, built for open road handling. You cannot make a blanket statement that FWD is better or safer in winter, and if you believe that, you have not learned to drive in winter. FWD will get you going a little better up a slippery slope you have stopped on, that is the only real advantage, taking the same basic car, with the same tires, and the same driver skill set. I have driven well over a million and a half miles over 42 years, living in Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg, I do know winter driving. I have never had an accident on ice, or in snow in all that time.
- Q: When a person often thinks about the value of his life, or in history or for the dust, or for the wheel, how can we mold the lighthouse of our own mind?
- Think too much, generally learn too little. Let's take a look at the book.
- Q: My parents are buying me a car soon and they say that the car has to be all wheel drive. i live in michigan so during the winters the roads get really bad plus i live on a dirt road which makes it even worse. they feel that the car i get must be an SUV with all wheel drive. is all wheel drive
- All-Wheel Drive is okay if you see lots of rain, snow, or dirt roads, but it's not absolutely necessary. For most people, particularly those who live in urban areas, Front-Wheel Drive and Rear-Wheel Drive are a better alternative. They get better gas mileage and have less wear and tear on the drivetrain parts. However, the best choice for you would be a 4-Wheel Drive vehicle. Unlike All-Wheel Drive, 4-Wheel Drive can be disengaged, offers locking or limited-slip differentials, and has both High and Low gear ranges. This gets you better gas mileage when running in 2-Wheel Drive, which is what you'll use 90% of the time in Michigan, more if you're in the southern part of the Lower Peninsula. Then, when it snows, is icy outside, or you decide to go off-roading, you can engage the 4-Wheel Drive for better traction. I live in the northern part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, near Petoskey, and my family has had all types of vehicles: Rear-Wheel Drive, Front-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive, and 4-Wheel Drive. After our experiences, all the vehicles we own now (four of them, with one more likely soon now that my brother's driving) are 4-Wheel Drive, and we use them a lot. I can provide a list of the SUVs that offer true 4-Wheel Drive as opposed to All-Wheel Drive. If you like the idea of a pickup truck, only the Honda Ridgeline is All-Wheel Drive. The rest are 4-Wheel Drive. I hope this has answered your question. If you have any more, please feel free to ask.
