- Sure, wheel spacers are safe, if you take the wheels off once a week and re-tighten them. If you don't re-tighten them once a week you will die! They also wear out wheel bearings/hubs 5 times faster then with out them. So now that you purchased some after market POS wheels that will probably never balance out you want to F-up the wheel bearings. What's next? Ruining the ride with lowering kits that will only chew up tires and make the car ride like a tank?
- Q: I rebuilt the front end on my 1983 chevrolet 1/2 ton truck. I installed a new gear box, pitman arm, inner and outer tie rod ends on both sides, and idler arm. Since installing the new parts I have not been able to get my steering wheel aligned, The bar on the steering wheel is vertical instead of being horizontal.
