- Yes you can, but it's an expensive process that requires blasting off the old chrome and rechroming. Time and expense this would cost you and you could just about buy new rims! Have you tried Mother's aluminum and mag polish? If you REALLY polish the **** out of them, until the cloth is black, this will remove almost any blemishes and even rust!!!! You could also get a polishing ball or wheel at any parts store chain to put on a cordless drill and it will save your fingers and wrists. Media blasting facilities usually charge by the minute that the gun is operating and chrome shops are VERY expensive and time consuming.

- I just bought the steering wheel for the 360 to use with Forza 2, you need to relearn how to play the game with the wheel. It is fun but I wouldn't trade in GH and a guitar for it, its not that much better, you might end up never using the wheel anyway because its much different than the controller. Turns that were once easy will not be, if you hit the grass prepare to spin out because its almost guaranteed you will, if you wiggle the wheel too much you will spin out etc. I love the wheel but its much different (and harder) using it. Unless you are a hardcore racing sim aficionado it will most likely end up collecting dust.

- I'm not a big fan of Kia but the AWD in the Sorento is nice. It normally delivers power to just one axle (the rear axle, I imagine). If the ABS sensors report wheel slippage it goes into AWD, where power is delivered to all the wheels in a reasonably balanced way, making it good for slippery streets. This is a real improvement in fuel economy and tire wear over full-time AWD, like the Subaru system. There is also a lock mode (if it is like the description in the first source), where it goes into actual 4WD operation with the front wheels locked except at high speeds. You want to avoid that mode on pavement and just use it off-road because it forces a front wheel to slip when you make turns and is murder on fuel economy.

- Mag wheels are just that - wheels. The only thing that would look like a rim but is not, would be a hub cap that you can easily tell by just looking at - even if it has fake lug nuts on it. The hub cap covers the actual wheel.

- Use a 12 1/2 pneumatic bicycle/scooter wheel. Pro bike shops usually have scooters with these types of wheels around, toddler bikes have the wheels on them. I recently bought a set of 12 1/2 Kenda tires and some Bell tubes, every bit the quality of larger ones for a friends kids Tonka bike. Also, in the late 80's early 90's when I was a kid there was slew of cheap scooters with mag wheels and pneumatic tires, but they were a pain in the rear to air up since they had so little rim to hub clearance. I'm sure you can find one of those locally at a pawn shop or junk dealer no problem, I think they were 8 1/2 x 2 or something.

Seriously, they are complete crap and anything and i mean ANYTHING interrupts the fob signal to the car causing the problem that you have now. I once had to get my bmw towed away from the airport just so my fob would work again, yes, apparently the radio waves also have an effect on these alarms too. I would suggest you start by changing the battery in the fob to make sure it is sending a strong signal to the car. If that doesn't work, check the Receiver in the car, depending on what bmw you drive, will depend on its location. The old 3 series had them in the centre mirror or near the sun visors. .
