- Q: i want to sell 4 used factory alloy wheels of my mazda 3 2009. There are some curb scratch on 1 of front wheels So how much i can sell them?
- there are companies who sell used wheel covers , hubcaps , and steel and alloy wheels. These companies are found in most big towns. look in the yellow pages of your phone directory under wheels and find a place who would buy your wheels from you. They will clean them up and sell them to someone else. there are also companies that sell rebuilt wheels and body shops have to , on the orders of insurance companies , check availability of rebuilt wheels at these companies for the vehicles they are working on. these companies will buy your wheels alsorebuild them (refinish them) and then sell them to a body shop. used wheels sell for around 75-100 and rebuilt wheels sell for 125-175 so dont figure on getting too much for yours but on the plus side, someone will buy them from you.
- Q: Alright i have new Roces sk-80 inline skates today i ride on it and make 6 miles in city all surfaces type. So it is now with a little scratch some wheels so is there any wheels for all surface type? . Thanks for answer to my question
- I would go with a natrual gas or propane fire pit or at least a duel one. it is not as authentic but so much easier and less work.
- Q: If i were to buy rims and wheels for a 1995 lexus sc400 (RWD) and wanted to switch the rims and wheels onto a FWD car, could i? the wheels are offset (rear ones are wider), so could i just switch the rear wheels with the front wheels when i put thm on the fwd car? BTW, i already know the wheels and rims fit both cars, just wondering about the opposite (front-back) wheel sizes. Thanks
- If you put wider wheel, thus wider tires on the rear wheels of a FWD, you are going to get more understeer than usual. If you look at people who race FWD in road courses, they put wider wheels and tires in front to reduce understeer. Understeer is not fun. The front of car will slide whenever you throw your car into a corner. And you need to reduce speed or adjust you steering to correct this. This is something that most race car drivers want to eliminate, but car manufacturer set up a little understeer for saftety reason to warn drivers that the car is at its cornering limit. So larger wheels and tires in rear of a FWD is not a very good idea.
- Q: Why the bike pedal reversing the wheel does not turn?
- The reason for the reversal idling is that there is a "ratchet mechanism" between the inner hub (the tower) and the flywheel.
- Q: I have wheels on my car that are currently 18x7.5 and 20 offset. I want to go with a smaller wheel like a 16 inch or 17 but I dont want to sacrifice my width of wheel I have. I have a mid engine rear wheel drive mr2 and I need fat back tires to keep traction. If i get a 16x7.0 and 40 offset is it going to be skinnier? Which number affects the width and what is the offset in relation to the width?
- you're ponderingrespectable" expenses, yet think of that machiningjewelry" will fee you much less? that is magnificent how far some human beings will pass to get some fancy wheels to stand out in the hood...
- Q: Why was the wheel a great invention?
- There are basically three types of friction : *Static friction *Kinetic friction *Rolling friction Friction is a force which opposes the motion of the object. Among all the above kinds of frictions - Rolling friction is said to be the lowest. For example, take a case where you need to move a heavy gas cylinder. You can either make it move to pushing or pulling it, here kinetic friction plays a major role, thus it would be difficult to make it move a large distance. But in the other case, keep the cylinder horizontal and start rolling it. Here he cylinder moves much faster and your total work done would be less ( less force needed ). The particles in contact to the ground during a rolling motion are very less as compared to pure linear motion. This is main reason why the invention of wheels is considered as a great invention. You can travel more by applying very less force.
- Q: Why the wheel with the ABS brake system is locked
- Can be judged, your car ABS is the domestic technology; can be explained: ABS anti-lock the working principle is working ABS pump to drive the brake cylinder in the implementation of the brake command, the frequent brake - release - brake - Brake .... This frequency of up to 8-13 times per second, the general foreign ABS per second frequency remained at 8-9 times, while China can only reach 12-13 times. The more frequent description of the brake time is more, the possibility of occurrence of locking on the big, and ABS work frequency standard is also 8 times.
- Q: When you buy a aftermarket steering wheel for you car do you need to buy one for your exact car model or can you just buy any steering wheel
- It is that way because there is aloose nut behind the wheel
- Q: I‘m thinking about putting together a bike but i dno which wheels to get for which forks. Can someone tell me what all the measurements on the wheels are plz. on some of the halo sas wheels im looking it says 24 (wheel size) 10mm (???) 48h(spoke holes) and can someone help me on what Qr means? :)
- QR stands for Quick Release which means the hubs are secured in the dropouts with quick release skewers and not bolts. 10mm is the axle size that goes into the fork or rear dropouts. This is pretty much standard. The exception is downhill bike frames which often use 12mm axles to take the abuse they are subjected to.
- Q: Is the trend of the wheel or the butterfly's wings?
- What are the factors that lead to the development of society? Academia has always been different opinions, there are "geographical determinism" "class struggle that" "hero said," "people say" "together that" and so on, each holding their own opinions. Marx's "cohesion" that many factors staggered together, offset each other or merged, the original direction of a move in the direction of the weak forces eventually converged into a powerful force, leading to social development. This is more like a carriage (let me think of the physics of the car and the map on the various forces), there are many horse, are objective factors, such as geographical environment, population composition, economic development and so on; , Is the subjective factors, such as the ruling of the laws and regulations promulgated and so on.
