- Q: Hi everyone, I recently purchased a PS3 used not slim and am having a tough time with it. For one, I don't even know how to charge my four red dot blinking controller and turn on the ps3. I'm wondering since I got everything hooked up but still not even a red dot on the ps3 when I put in the power cable at the end there is that thing with the three things sticking out, where do I put that? Like a place where I charge my phone? I think that's why I'm having problems. Thanks.
- ok. the PS3 uses a standard 3 prong plug, similar to what your PC would use. plug that in, and then into the wall. older PS3's also have a power switch right above the power cord. you have to turn the system on here. after you filp the switch, the PS3 enters standby mode. on to your controller you should have gotten a very short usb cable. the larger end plugs into the system.the smaller into the controller. push the PS button on the center of your controller to sync it. it should go from 4 flashing lights to one. then, it should steady flash position 1 to show that it is charging. one it is charged, or when the usb cable is removed, you should get a steady light. no flashes.
- Q: I do not have the Video Card in hand but I will in a few days and I already know the adapter cable has gone missing. The NVdia Website is no help. I have an HP Pavilion Elite desktop. I want to acquire the cable before I receive the Video Card, so I can install it right away. I want to know exactly the type of power connector cable is so I can go online and order it now.
- Power connector cable? Usually, you don't need an adapter cable: you just plug the video card into one of the PCI expansion card slots available on the motherboard, then you plug the monitor's cable to connect the monitor to the computer via the serial port on the video card. Knowing what computer you have doesn't really help: You have to tell us the motherboard's brand model to see if this particular video card is compatible for your computer's motherboard.
- Q: ok well my xbox wont turn on anymore i was playing it and it was fine when i put the controller on top of it and moved the power cable and all of a sudden the xbox turned off, so if anybody knows what could of gone wrong or have a solution i would greatly appreciate it.
- My xbox had this problem. What power cable are you using? The original or the new one that Microsoft sent out to everyone? They sent out a new one because some Xbox's were melting the cable and some kid got burned or something. At first they replaced only those customers that say theirs had the problem, then they just sent a new cord out to everyone. Anyway, mine never had the power cord issue but I tossed my original and used the new one. That's when I started having problems. My Xbox would turn itself on in the middle of the night sometimes. It would also turn itself off whenever it felt like it. I couldn't get it to turn back on unless I unplugged the power cord and then plugged it back in. And even then, it would turn on and play fine for about 10-20 minutes and then shut off by itself. Really weird. I simply sold my Xbox, never called Microsoft about it, so I never found out what the problem was. So really, my only advice is, if you're using that new power cord, go back to the old one. I'm positive that swapping those cords was the problem for my Xbox.
- Q: power wont tuurn on from my amp there is power in the cables and i checked all fuses and wires there good to go nugga
- I know you said that you checked your fuses, but there are fuses on the amp itself. You may want to check those too. Don't know if you did that already, but something to keep in mind. Does it go to the red light? safety mode? In that case, it may be fried and you may need to find a local stereo shop that can fix it.
- Q: i need a power cable for a digitech rp 10 guitar effects processor. my teacher gave it to me and it doesnt have a power cord. if anyone has one please let me know. ill pay good money. but i wont pay an outrageous amount.
- They have a wanted section!
- Q: A network cable must cross a power cable. What can be done to minimize the amount of EMI?
- Use okorder / You would need two (one for each side of the connection)
- Q: Like I lost my power cable, so can I get one somewhere?
- most amps use the same cable, so it shouldn't be a problem, through your amp in a car, (to double check) and check the local music stores, electronics shops, or Radio shacks
- Q: i just got a new motherboard but after reading throuhg the manual i coudnt get any instructions on which cable goes which way. pls i need some one to help me. all other connections are okay i suppose but afraid to just connect the power, and the reset button cable any how.
- Well... if they're the big white plastic plugs, then you aim the clip for the notch and you're good to go. If they're the smaller plugs that look amazingly like jumpers... then your motherboard should have come with a diagram to show how to plug them in. If not, look on the motherboard and see if you see metal pins with text closeby that says things like PWR SW or RST or HDD LED or PWR LED, or something similar. Generally, the text will point in the direction that the plug needs to go. Also, you generally want to make sure that the open metal part of the plug faces towards the inside of the two rows of metal pins (should be a row of 4 and a row of 5). Hope that helps.
- Q: Many of the complete amplifier kits, example rated for a 700 watt amplifier come with a 10 gauge power cable. Many of the gauge charts from the online car audio techs, would recommend a 4 gauge wire, but they sell the amp kits with the 10 gauge. I guess bigger is better, more efficient and safer for the installation, but I would expect them to add some * adjacent to the kit specs with their recommendation.

- Q: And if so how much would that cable be and could you supply a link to get it from that place?Im really struggling to find any details of where i can get one so could you possibly check out the item and see if there is any help on there?I currently have a 3A 250v Power cable and i'm wondering if that can help? Thanks alot and if it helps ill pick a best answer soon. Thank you!
- High input cable ...? Not really sure what that is, Also, that power supply is junk. 750W and it only has a single 6-pin PCI? That's sad. Good 750W power supplies are at least ?70 and have four 6-pin PCI cables. Heck, a good 430W costs more than that and it's guaranteed to perform better.
