Brief Introduction

XLPE insulated power cable has a number of advantages over paper insulated and PVC insulated cable. XLPE power cable has high electric strength, mechanical strength, high-ageing resisting, environmental stress resisting anti-chemical corrosion, and it is simple construction, using convenient and higher operating of long term temperature. It can be laid with no drop restriction.

The flame-retardant and non-flame retardant XLPE cable can be manufactured with three technologies (peroxide, silane and irradiation cross-linking). The flame-retardant cable covers all kinds of low-smoke low-halogen low-smoke halogen free, and non-smoke non-halogenated and three classes of A,B,C.

Product Description:

1. Conductors: copper or aluminum.

2. Both armored and non-armored type power cables are available.

3. Voltage rating: 6/10kV 8.7/15kV 26/35kV.

4. PVC or PE sheathed.

5. Number of cable cores: one core(Single core),two cores(Double cores),three cores,

Four cores (Four Equal-section-area cores or three equal-section-area cores and one smaller section area neutral core),

Five cores (Five equal-area cores or three equal-section-area cores and two smaller section area neutral cores).

6. Standards: IEC 60502. IEC, BS, DIN, ASTM, CSA, NFC, AS, GOST etc. Or other special characteristics as customers request.

Application Conditions

1. The long-time permissible operation temperature of conductor shall not be higher than 90oC.

2. Conductor maximum short circuit (not more than 5 seconds) temperature shall not be higher than 250 oC.

3. The power cable is not limited by drop in level when being laid, and the ambient temperature shall not be lower than 0 oC.

If so, the cable should to be preheated.

4. Perfect chemical stability, resistant against acids, alkalis, grease and organic solvents, and flame.

5. Light weight, perfect bending properties, installed and maintained easily and conveniently.

Q: For those electrical wires used for electrical appliances (computer monitor, chargers) are the wires itself water resistant or is it still dangerous?
If you value your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest, get all those electrical appliances away from the water and the source of the water and get somebody to fix that leak or cause of spillage. It could even be just condensation dripping off a window, and something as simple as that could kill you. Please be careful. Water and electricity is a deadly combination to us carbon units. We love you. Please don't die.
Q: I am putting in a new TV and I am running all new wires through the wall including electrical and cable, can these two wires run next to each other, or will that cause any kind of interference??
Unless you're installing this TV in a motor vehicle, you're in the wrong category. Why not look for a better place to ask your questions.
Q: Background: I have a 12/3 wire coming up from the circuit panel in the basement to the attic that was wired when the house was built (~1971). The two live wires are connected to separate 20 amp circuit breakers in the panel box. Each of the live wires are connected to separate load (1 is connected to an attic fan and 1 is connected to an AC air handler) - I think the attic fan draws about 6-7 amps and the air handler draws about 14 amps, and both are connected to the white wire in the 12/3 BX.Q: Is this ok? Specifically, if the sum of electricity from the 2 load wires is greater than 20 amps, is it ok for the white wire going back to the circuit panel, e.g. will that get dangerously hot/is it against code? (This is in NY State)

Q: What to identify the wire is good or bad
. see to see the packaging, the national standard of the wires are often done better, neat, hand up to have a sense of quality. . to open the packaging to see inside the wire, the GB of the wire 1.5 - 6 square wire requirements is thick skin (insulation thickness) is 0.7mm, too thick is the non-standard, and the corresponding core of his sure Not enough, you can pull the line of force, not easy to tear is the general is the national standard. . with the fire about 5s away from the extinguished, there is a certain flame-retardant function for the national standard line. . see the core, the core of the material (copper) the higher the brightness of copper the better, and the light uniform, shiny, no sense of hierarchy. GB requires the core must use oxygen-free copper. Non-standard, such as black rod copper, there may be hidden dangers. . the core of the thickness of the country have certain requirements, but not very strict. But not wrong a lot, but a little bit small, generally do not see the error with the eyes. . the length of the country must not be forced to play rice, but there are many manufacturers also played rice, playing rice is not necessarily the national standard, but the general national standard generally did not play rice. Non-standard playing rice that is just a means. . the state must have a certain mark on the wire, the maximum will not exceed 500mm will have the same logo to play the next, the general product of the trademark, the manufacturer name, the implementation of standards.
Q: Electrical wire with a diameter of 0.88 cm is wound on a spool with a radius of 28 cm and a height of 23 cm.(a) Through how many radians must the spool be turned to wrap one even layer of wire? rad(b) What is the length of this wound wire? m
23 cm / 0.88 cm 26.1 so you will have 26 turns of wire. Each turn is as long as the circumference of the cylinder, which is 2*28*π 176 cm so 26 x 176 4576 cm wire needed 1 rotation, one turn is 2π, so for 26 turns, you need to rotate by 26*2π radians. .
Q: I am moving a sub panel from one position to another but the feed wires #2 are not long enough to reach new panel so i want to know if I can make a j box and splice them and what would i use as wire nuts are to small.

Q: electrical wiring for 90 ford broncoII?
Not sure the question. But if you are looking for a/c wiring a ranger with the same engine will have the same wiring diagram. Check local parts store they stock all kinds of engine books with wiring in it.
Q: That is now the new house has that position in the living room sofa wall mosaic of a small iron box, about 40 × 25 cm, which there are many wires called the box? Know friends say ~ thank you! More
The above two questions are also knowledgeable, I also do this industry to know
Q: I need thin wire but all i have is a thin guitar string, would that work?
No! Guitar strings (as Lare says) are steel which is a poor conductor. Furthermore there is no insulation on a guitar string - the plastic coating on real electrical wire that prevents short circuits.
Q: I have 200 feet of wire run from an electrical box to a electric motor that is not getting enough amps. I am tring not to run a new wire from the breaker box so if I cut the wire a few feet from the box and run a bigger wire say from 10' of 10-2 to 190' of 6-2 will I get less of a drop?
Generally, electrical codes do not allow you to use parallel leads to service loads. That being said, if you DO connect 3 parallel wires to 1 short wire of the same size, your voltage drop will be basically one third of your existing voltage drop. Again, if you DO use the 6c #2 as planned, be sure to ensure your individual cable wires are exactly the same length, both the new cable and the existing cable. edit your question and include your voltage and motor FLA (full load current), and I or someone else can calculate your voltage drop. Or, send me an email. TexMav
