You could probably buy an adapter plug for your existing cable. Getting a whole new cable might very well mess with the machine itself, and be more expensive than a simple adapter. Just go to an electronics’ store, with the cable, (the bigger the better) and ask for a suitable adapter for it.

Basically, the appliance works on the current flowing into it. When you unplug the cable (or hit the OFF switch, same thing) the current stops flowing, then the appliance then stops working. Very simple. .

depends, if you don't care about what you are wiring up, then no you don't need to, the fuse is only there to stop a surge too strong for your equipment. usually your battery won't send out surges too strong but its possible if your alternator acts funny

It only goes in one way, look at the shape then match it to which way it goes in. It will go in, but can be a real pain at times.
Q: What happen's when you just yank the power cord out from the electronic (Computer or TV) while it is still running? Does it blow a fuse or something? And what should I do to fix whatever the problem is, assumming that the electronic doesn't turn on after i yank the power cord out?
Electronic devices should be OK if the cord is yanked, as long as it isn't done too often. It would be just like a power outage, the device would turn off immediately. It shouldn't blow a fuse or anything like that. If you pull the plug and it doesn't turn back on later, it could be that the power supply or transformer has gone bad. These are easier to replace in computers than in TVs and often cost less than $50.

Q: I bought a 1999 Volkswagon jetta and there is no sound coming from the speakers. There are speaker cables, power cables, and input cables in the trunk. The powers cables ( there is 2 of them) are both connected to the negative terminal of the battery. There is also 2 input cables. Do I need an amp in order for my speakers to work? If I do how do I connect it? I connected my ipod to each speaker individually and they all work.

Q: Soooooo I don't know much about electronics, but... I'm pretty that my AC power cable for my new receiver was made wrong. You know how it supposed to have a positive and a negative pins? well they are both the same. I know that the wall outlet has the little whole and the bigger one. I've seen some AC power cables that only have the little flat pins so they fit on the wall outlet. My cable has two of the big flat pins... so I can't plug it in the outlet. What do I do? is there like a plug I could buy? I've been using google but I can't find anything...
The hot side of outlets has a smaller socket dimension, and that's supposed to prevent a plug that has an assigned neutral from being plugged in with the neutral (wider blade) side connected to the hot side. If your plug has two of the wider blades, then that does sound like a manufacturing defect. I'd complain to the manufacturer or vendor. Hopefully the power cord is removable, so you don't have to return the whole unit.
