- Q: my friend and i were installing a subwoofer in his car and the rem cable touched the amp and caused a short. the cd player does not turn on any more and we could not find any problem anywhere the only fuse blown was the fuse on the power wire for the amp and that should not have any effect on the cars cd player what could be wrong? - That's a long span, but not impossible. You might want to check out the Ameralik span in Greenland for some ideas (it is about 3 times that long, at 5376 meters) Here's one reference:

- Every body is saying the same thing You should listen to the general consensus///use a 4 gauge with a 80amp or a 100amp fuse if the amplifier does not have an internal fuse or onboard fuse, use a 80amp fuse two 8 gauge power cables will not give you the same performance as a 4 gauge power cable(they should in theory)but their is alot of science and phisics mumbo jumbo that i cant explain as good as a scientist(so just trust me on this one)

- The buzzing noise is not that of a Laptop its rather that of the Power adapter of the Laptop so there is nothing to worry about it you laptop is as good as it can be. But i would suggest not to use that adapter for a longer time because it may cause trouble in voltage fluctuations .
