- Q: I was curious if anybody knew of an office type chair that can be lowered down abnormally far so that you're very close to the ground.
- Don't know of one, since that would mean it wouldn't extend up very far at all. Which means it would be un-sellable as an office chair for anyone other than a child.
- Q: An 88 kg man sits in a 7 kg chair so that his weight is evenly distributed on the legs of the chair. Assume that each leg makes contact with the floor over a circular area with a radius of 1.5 cm. What is the pressure exerted on the floor by each leg?keep on getting this one wrong; I imagine you multiply the area times 4 because its 4 legs, and then once you've solved for everything divide by 4 again (to get the force on each leg).Enlighten me?
- Pressure is in kg/cm^2; your answer is in kg/1.5cm^2 if you didn't account for the fact that the radius of the contact area is more than 1cm.
- Q: i have these wooden chairs that have dried peeling paint i need to get off so i can stain them. there is no varnish or stain i can see, just old paint. Is sanding it off the best way to go? are there sanders small enough to get into the corners and grooves? i am pregnant, so chemicals are not an option. thank you!
- Save yourself the grunting bending w/ one on the way. There are non toxic heavy paste strippers that are almost edible do not give off fumes. Can still wear gloves a mask. Bigger concern would be dust from sanding off old paint that may or may not contain lead. If ithe paint comes of cleanly w/ the paste, you may not have to sand at all just rub w/ steel or bronze wool have no dust at all. Always more than one way to skin a cat. Best regards congrats.

- Wow, use your Yahoo browser, and type in wedding chair decorations. when the menu pops up, see the image results and click on it. Lots and lots of ideas, some not expensive, some big enough to cover the whole chair. I like the one where the tulle is wrapped around the chair from different directions, and secured with a piece of contrasting color tulle and a fake flower.
- Q: The lady who owns the venue we chose is something else, let me tell you...I wish now I'd have gone somewhere else, but we just couldn't afford more! So she won't have the chairs arranged in rows for the ceremony (we're having it indoors because it's FALL) and so we're forced to have guests sit at their tables.How can I make this look better??
- I recently conducted a wedding where the set-up was similar - and because the tables were very long it was impossible to move them away. So we turned the first row of chairs round so the people sat with their backs to the first table and added to the row the chairs on the other side of the table, and then moved the chairs at the other tables so the people at each table were essentially sitting on the one side of that table with their backs to the table and facing the ceremony area (for a ceremony people can sit much closer together than they would for dining) and then after the ceremony people just took their chairs back to their own place. Worked well.

- A stool becomes a chair when the seat is wide enough to relax in comfortably.
- Q: Normally she was eating in her high chair. But recently I had a C-section and they said no lifting and she is 28 pounds. also, I think she is growing out of her high chair because she tries to stand up in it and rocks it and she can tip over. So, what do I do? Do I get her a booster seat? Does it have buckles? What do you recommend? Today I tried to feed her on the couch but it can be messy and she was running around with food in her hands.P.s. I have to hold my newborn often, so I have only 1 free hand if any.
