- Truthfully, it doesn't make a ton of difference. Almost every head unit manufacturer advertises peak power output. They do that because peak power ratings are almost meaningless and they're no real indication of what the unit is actually capable of, but not many shoppers are aware of that. In recent years 50x4 is the standard power claim of the typical head unit, and ALL those head units produce 14-22w rms per channel. With an older JVC it might give you 12-15w rms per channel. The LOWEST rms power ratings you'll find on a decent 6.5 speaker will be in the 40w rms range, so no matter which speaker you choose you will have a lot less than optimal power on hand to run it. So what I'm saying is don't make power handling an important part of your speaker choice, although I would look at the lower end of the spectrum on the assumption a speaker designed to work best at 40 or 50w rms will probably work better at 15w rms than a speaker meant for 80w rms. Go to some stores and listen. If possible, listen with only head unit power running them. It won't do you much good to listen to a bunch of speakers getting 100w from an external amp when they won't be getting nearly that much in your car.

- Wire two speakers in parallel for each channel. This will give you a 4 ohm load for each channel. Speaker 1 and speaker 2 put the + wires together and plug them in channel 1 + (red) speaker post then twist the - negatives together and put them in channel 1 - negative or Black speaker post Repeat above for speaker 3 and 4 in Channel 2

- Q: I have a pair of Bose speakers, and I am trying to use them with my Traktor Kontrol S2 (DJ hardware). - Are you talking about the main out (the white and red ones)? These are meant to connect to a mixer and not to speakers. It's an unbalanced audio (RCA) signal. You can connect speakers to the 1/4 main out (balanced) jacks. However, you will need active speakers (speaker cabs with built in power amps). Or you can connect to a dedicated amp and hook speakers up to the amp. Remember, these are meant for live application and you won't get any sound by connecting regular passive speakers to any output on these unit - it has no built in power amp I suspect this is fully explained in the manual :-)

- Q: I have a very stange problem. I have a headphone and its plugged into the back jack output on my comp. When I test the sound by playing a sound on left and right side, it works. But when I plug my new speakers into the same output it only plays in mono, (right and left channel sound llike its in the middle). It happened with 2 brand new set of speakers. - when each speaker of the 2 speakers isnt SEPARATLY connected to each of the 2 separat channels in the stereo plug, then the audio will not be stereo, that can be the problem with that installtion. it needs then a set of speakers where each of the 2 speakers is connected distinct to each of the two channels in the stereo plug of the computer, then the audio will be stereo like in the headphones. what can be done is to simply use another speaker cabel that conducts both channels from the stereo plug sepratley to each of the 2 speakers, if the curent cabel of the speakers can be simply taken off, otherwise it will need to cut the plug of the speaker cabel off to solder on a new plug on the speaker cabel with of course each channel speparatly to each of the speakers, to have actual stereo.

- nope. it just has an internal speaker so you can hear the clicking noises. but you can't listen to your music without your headphones.
