- Q: I have an 04 350Z Track model. The track model doesn't come with stock bose system. I blew my driver side speaker so I purchased 350z oem bose speakers for the front. When I took off the speaker I noticed that where the speaker goes connected is different even though they're oem. I've never installed speakers but since it was oem I thought I would just have to plug them in. Help !
- Bose Speakers operate on a different OHM resistance you may not have enough power in the stock radio head to power that BOSE speaker. Crutchfield is your best bet to find the correct replacement speakers Good Luck

- Q: Do center channel speakers offer any advantage over a normal bookshelf speaker? I want a new center speaker but center channel speakers are so expensive compared to a bookshelf speaker.
- Actually yes you can. Center channel speakers were designed to be low profile and have a large listening angle. If you want to use a bookshelf speaker, you should not turn it on its side(assuming its a standard single woofer-tweeter design) as that would cause breakup nodes along the horizontal listening axis(which is a more important axis because typically not everyone is sitting perfectly in line with the speaker. A bookshelf speaker placed in its normal vertical position will typically not have the large off-axis response that a center channel speaker would. However, it will have a more even frequency response with less areas of cancellation between the multiple woofers. Basically, go ahead and do it, but make sure you leave the bookshelf speaker upright and try to sit as close to inline with the speaker as possible as this will give you the best sound possible.

- I like to sometimes play my music a little loud and these speakers handle it just fine, even with a song that has major bass to it. The design is nice too. I really appreciate the headphone jack located on the front of the speaker it makes it easier than trying to fool around in the back of the computer to plug headphones in. Also the sub woofer is not so big that you have no place to go with it. I was worried about the quality because the low price but Logitech has come through again!

- If your subwoofer is a powered sub, you will probably need to use a Coax cable to connect them using that port. If you have a low end or older receiver, it may not have a coax speaker jack to connect the sub woofer with.
- Q: I am constantly going to thrift stores looking for speakers and home theater receivers. I don't buy any though because I want to know if the speakers will work with the receiver. Is there any simple method to determining this? Like matching watts and ohms? Please, if possible, just a simple way to determine if the speakers are compatible with receivers.

- just get a speaker/reciever, you can upgrade when you move out (assuming if you live eith your parents) I get the speaker system first soundbar second if its for a non-main area (system: living room / soundbar: bedroom) or get a bluetooth soundbar and wait till you move for a system also dont get samsung

- I even have mine the two hooked by the encompass sound. no longer precisely what you defined, yet may well be a greater constructive decision. I went to Radio Shack and offered an adapter that facilitates me to plug my sound card into the rca jacks on the encompass sound. Works large.
- Q: I was given 4 car speakers. There is nothing marked on them. I would like to hook them up to my 8 ohm amplifier on my paging system. Is this possible?
- Yes you can. Each car speaker is 4 ohms so you would have to hook all of them up in a series connection in order to avoid an ohm load that is below 8 so the amp doesn't fry. Hook them up like this for a 16 ohm load and you will be safe.
- Q: i have an 04' Maxima and tha speakers are ok but not tha loudest,, but i found out that one speaker(front left) wasnt working,, so i decided to go ahead n buy new door speakers thinkin that would fix tha problem and give me better speakers,, but i started installin with tha front left speaker n when it was all hooked up i tested it and it was REALLY soft,, all of tha other speaker seem to work fine but a couple times in tha middle of a song tha bass will seem to kick in for a breif second. Any ideas about what might b wrong??
- Step 1: Check to make sure the balancefade settings are neutral or biased to that speaker. Step 2: Do a continuity check on the speaker wire between the head unit and the speaker ends. (disconnect both ends) I suspect you have a short in the wire somewhere. If you dont have a multimeter, first check by hooking up a different speaker. If the other speaker still doesnt work then replace the speaker wire from the head unit (dont worry about running behind the dash ect yet, just hook up the speaker to see if it works).
