- Q:i plugged in desktop sterreo speakers into my laptop, turned up the volume, but no sound goes. the sound only goes through the built in laptop speakers. the desktop speakers are much loudedr and has more bass, so how do i use it instead of the laptop speakers? is there a software that i can download. i've tried everything but i came up with no results pls help me? thnx guys
- the computer speakers probably need power from the wall. make sure all the plugs are plugged and in correctly. also check to see if headphones work. if the headphones don't work then there is something wrong with the computer

- Any 4x6 speaker you want. The power rating of the speakers will far exceed anything your headunit is capable of outputting (which is about 20 - 23W RMS). Go to the store, listen to as many speakers as you can, pick one out that you like and fits your budget. Make sure the speakers are playing off the same headunit, powered by the same amp, and playing the same song. Compare apples to apples.

- I'm all the same thing with you. I cut the cable to the speakers and tape them all together. Now this was working and one day they all just tweeted. My amp doesn't respond anymore only the one in the box I now connect my phone to play music . I woundered what happened I try to buy I a new cable taped them again and it worked again for a little while. So I tried direct contact from the speaker to my computer and that doesn't work either but my computer alone plays music. I think my speakers need the amp. In the end I think I tripped over the cable and it messed up the plug to the speakers cause like I said only the speaker in the amp works. god these things are so expensive and cheap at the same time sorry.

- I agree with replacing all factory speakers because of sound staging issues and when you turn up the volume you will get a very muddy sound from the back speakers where your front speakers will be crystal clear. If you want better results just upgrade to a aftermarket HU as it will definately get the full potential out of stock speakers. Stock Head Unit to aftermarket speakers never plays out well as you didnt solve the problem because the Stock Headunit is limited in power and the ability to equalize what your speakers are playing meaning if the bass sounds muddy you can lower the bass a little bit so it sounds cleaner and louder.
