- Q:Hi, im planing on getting a speaker system for my computer. i want the best speakers possible for gaming, movies and most importantly music. im trying to spend only $300-$500.

- Q:I tried to extend my hometheater speaker to fit my hall size, but after connecting (soldring) the extra wire the speaker volume has reduced. This is not the same for the speaker which is not extended.
- Longer speaker wire will increase resistance and that resistance can cause a slight change in speaker volume, but unless you added a hundred extra feet, I seriously doubt you would notice the change without testing equipment. I find it to be a safer bet that it's the added distance you put between the speakers and the listener that caused them to sound more quiet. While low frequencies can travel further without sound reduction, the volume of high frequencies will roll off much more quickly. Speakers are made to fit rooms of specific sizes. It could very well be that the speakers you have are designed to fit in a smaller room, or to at least be listen to at a closer range than where you have them now. Without taking away any speaker wire, try moving the speakers back to their original position and see if the volume returns. If it does, then you know it's not the added speaker wire causing the drop in volume.

- No. You can't use your nokia n82 speaker as PC or laptop speaker. You only can use your laptop or PC speaker as Nokia N82 external speaker because there are only 3 selection when you plug the 3.5 mm jack. the selection is music stand, TV-out, and headset.

- Placement does indeed make it louder. Your ear can hear from almost every direction, not just the one it is facing. Having a speaker closer to you makes it louder as 1. The Sound waves are closer together since they don't travel as far and 2. It's going right in your ear So adding more speakers causes more sound waves to reach your ear, and as long as you don't just put them in the exact same position as where the others are, it will be louder.

- make sure the input wires that run from your speaker and hook up to what ever your bumpin your music in are not touching any other wires that will cause a short circuit. your speaker isnt blown cuz you would still be able to hear it a little bit
