- Q: I want to know how to connect a Behringer Xenyx 802 sound mixing board to speakers. What cables do I need? Can it go straight to speakers with the right kind of cords or do I need some sort of box in between?

- Q: I need help installing some 6.5in alpine SPR-17C speakers in my 08 lancer. its a lancer DE w/ regular factory speakers, not the rockford fosgate option. my problem is this, the speaker mounting spot is triangular, and not circular. the supports of the speaker are too wide and so the speaker doesnt reach all the way into the opening (because the opening is not circular the speaker hits the flat ends of the triangle). currently im thinking i have to cut away some metal, but id have to get that done professionly most likely and thats exspensive, so does anyone have tips for either cutting the metal, an adapter piece that will work on the lancer, or just a trick to getting them in?
- make a baffle out of some mdf wood. You can screw the baffle into the metal to secure it and the wood will give you an extra .75 inch of clearance, and hopefully that would be enough. You might have to cut the plastic off the door over the speaker for this and put a separate grill over the speakers to make this work though
- Q: I am in the search for a good pair of speakers and have found that several speakers for home audio have a frequency response of 50-50k. The human ear sensitivity is 20-20k, why do this speakers need that frequency?
- Speakers don't have a flat response. It usually looks like a trapezoid ----- / The 50--50K speakers have a far more flat response within 20-20K than 150-20K speakers.

- This is going to get many answers because i think it's a matter of opinion. Me personally, JL Audio is the best out there for sound quality. It depends on what kind of sound you are looking for and what is in your budget. You may be content with a $50.00-$100.00 set of Pioneer or Sony speakers or you may prefer $500.00+ sound more. Best thing to do is take some trips to shops that sell different brands, ask there opinions, listen to the different brands and repeat until you form your own opinion and find what kind of sound you are looking for.
- Q: I have two big speakers that each have a two speakers inside of them with a total of four speakers with both big speakers. These speakers were originally TV sound system speakers, but I wanted to use them for my laptop. So I have their speaker wire in an amplifier and then I have the amplifier hooked up to my computer with a red and white cable to stereo output jack. When I play some music only the bottom speakers work, so that makes only two speakers out of four speakers working. I have also tested it on my iPod so I know that its not just my computer. So is it maybe a problem with my cable? Or are those two top speakers just blown? All my connections are good and I get good sound.Thanks for any answers in advance?
- I am kind of shooting from the hip here; I could tell you more if I could see them so this is largely assumption. Firstly, it is doubtful that the speakers are blown. The likelihood that two identical speakers would go out at the same time is extremely low. Secondly, I believe that what you are referring two as a big speaker with little speakers inside of them are actually two three-way speakers. Now, a three-way speaker uses a tweeter to produce high-frequency sound, a woofer to produce mid-range frequencies, and a woofer to produce low frequencies (in a two-way speaker a single woofer produces the low and mid-range frequencies). Now, to the possible problem. From your description of your hook-ups, I find it a little suspect. It being that this configuration would cause the speakers to work the way they were designed. There is little you could do to resolve the problem short of finding another way to attach your speakers to your computer. Also, stereo outputs are rather old-school and were not intended to be used with even TV speakers. They simply do not have the capacity to transfer enough information to the speakers. Finally, the speakers may be rated TruSurround speakers. Which means that these speakers are designed to, albeit poorly, simulate a surround sound experience with just two speakers. If this were the case, then those top speakers will only work with inputs that exceed stereo. Because in a stereo setup, only two speakers function, the left and right fronts. The two top speakers on your TV speakers may be designed to reproduce the rear signals. Therefore, they simply have nothing to reproduce when attached to a stereo source.
- Q: I found what I think are real nice 6x9 speakers: Pioneer TS-A6993R. I need a pair of 5x7 speakers for the front. What kind of speakers would match? Do they have to have the same RMS even though I can use two different amps? Also a different pair I found for the rears are the Pioneer TS-A6963R. Do the fronts and rears have to have around the same RMS to sound the same or just the frequency? I want treble the sound the best it can possibly sound.
- Pioneer TS-A6993R 6-Inch X 9-Inch, 460-Watt 5-Way Speakers Great great speakers. The bass is almost like true bass. The clarity is outstanding. I would tell anyone this product is great and needs to be purchased. I think I'll need to purchase an Amp just to get the full effect of what this speaker has to offer. c
- Q: i am thinking about amping my back two speakers and i was wondering if i would get more power to the front speakers from an aftermarket head unit since the rear speakers arent connected to the head units wires.
- If ur get a after market head unit more than likely your front speakers will be louder but so will your rear speakers you'll have to compensate for the power difference of the head unit and make the corrections for the speakers as well I have all four door speakers amped nothin is going off my head unit beside my tweeters and it's loud as hell so just make the proper adjustments to the head unit and equal out the power by fading to the front or rear and it'll sound great any more questions hit me up
- Q: I have a very stange problem. I have a headphone and its plugged into the back jack output on my comp. When I test the sound by playing a sound on left and right side, it works. But when I plug my new speakers into the same output it only plays in mono, (right and left channel sound llike its in the middle). It happened with 2 brand new set of speakers. Also those speakers have a jack audio output on them, and if I plug in the headphones there, it plays mono as well.It's driving me crazy, please help :/thank you
- when each speaker of the 2 speakers isnt SEPARATLY connected to each of the 2 separat channels in the stereo plug, then the audio will not be stereo, that can be the problem with that installtion. it needs then a set of speakers where each of the 2 speakers is connected distinct to each of the two channels in the stereo plug of the computer, then the audio will be stereo like in the headphones. what can be done is to simply use another speaker cabel that conducts both channels from the stereo plug sepratley to each of the 2 speakers, if the curent cabel of the speakers can be simply taken off, otherwise it will need to cut the plug of the speaker cabel off to solder on a new plug on the speaker cabel with of course each channel speparatly to each of the speakers, to have actual stereo.
- Q: I have a 2001 Chevy Camaro V6 with stock 6 speakers. All of them don't work except for the front left driver speaker. The hatch speakers are completely out and the sail speakers have a really really low volume. I tried replacing the stock sail speakers with new Pioneer speakers but they're still just playing at a really low volume with like no treble. Any ideas? Could it be a wiring problem?
