Q: iam looking to buy some wireless speakers for my computer and i do not know if they are wireless or not.Does channel speakers mean wireless?: The speakers or the box should definitely state if they are wireless. The term channel could mean several things, as in left or right stereo channel or it could be a model name or the brand name. A wireless speaker will need a power cord on it. This is to power the wireless receiver and amplifier to make the speaker work. It will not need (but I suppose it could have) any audio connections on it.

Q: I have two old floor speakers (from around 1980) the tweeter and mid range speakers work fine but both woofers are blown. could I replace the the woofers in the speakers with car sub-woofers?: You could but it would probably sound pretty bad. The speaker enclosures and crossovers are designed for a specific driver which has a particular response curve. Putting something else in there would likely result in poor spectral linearity.

What would I be better off with, with around 250$ to spend?What has better sound?: Depends what you buy. All types of brands from bookshelf and floor standing speakers have all different types of quality and frequency ranges. I would go with floor standing speakers, but they are most likely self powerd, and would cost more. I like bookshelf speakers cause you can hook them up to any amplifier you'd like, and they are light weight. Floor standing might have more bass, only if they have a built in subwoofer. Otherwise go with book shelf speakers. Go to frys. best deals around, better then best buy, circuit city, radiioshack etc.

Q: I'm buying the a FI-HI creamsicle black stereo speaker backpack. In the description it said 3000miliwatt speakers, i am wondering how loud that would be? Im not looking for the loudest speakers.: Even if the speakers are super-efficient, you will probably not get more than about 95 dB at one meter. 3000 mWatts (same as 3 Watts) isn't much power at all. The fact that the manufacturer is rating their speakers in miliwatts means that they are marketing them to people who have little or no concept of wattage. Thus, you can deduce that they are almost certainly very crappy speakers with poor performance.

Q: i tried reinstalling the software and it didnt work the volume box is not on mute and it has not found the speakers: speakers are speakers and should work anyways but if they dont. go to the control panel and go to sounds. you then go to playback devices or playback and set the new default speakers you do this by selecting the new speaker from the list and set do default. your speakers should work then.
