- Q: For a school project, I need to know the most common and annoying problems that you people are facing with vacuum cleaners. Try to be creative and just write whatever comes to your mind. Thanks ppl :D
- hair gets in the beater bearings and brushes and jams and burns up the belt. The other is I can't find bags for an expensive sears vacuum.
- Q: My dog sheds very very bad. The vacuum cleaner I have does a terrible job. If course I would like to have the best for the lowest price. I know Dyson has their pet versions of all of the vacuum cleaners but I am trying to avoid spending $500-$600. Any Ideas?
- the okorder . the suction power is great. and it's amazing how much stuff the things pulls out of the carpet every week. ew! but they're worth the money imo. mine is a year and a half old and still going strong (which, believe it or not, is a personal record).
- Q: Why are vacuum cleaners so noisy?
- It takes a powerful motor to create the suction needed to make a vacuum cleaner effective. There are quiet models, but they don't work as well. The best way to use a quiet vac is to go with a central, and have the canister mounted in the basement or garage. All you hear is the motor in the power head if you are vacuuming carpet, or the air moving if you are vacuum hard surfaces. Hope this helps.
- Q: Does anyone know of a quiet vacuum? I would like to vacuum the house without my little man crying.
- He'll get used to it. Try finding him a toy one so that he can help you. My toddler likes to hold the vacuum and have power over it. He has stopped crying, unlike my neighbour who has a toddler with a fear and she has just stopped vacuuming!!
- Q: This questions is about a nephew. He is 5. I have 3 children ages 5,3 and 18 mo and the two older ones have never seemed to know so much about 1 toipic and talk so much about it. Is this typical or abit on the autistic specrum of my nephew. He's been like this about vacums since he was about 4.
- It can be very normal depending on the child and the situation if that is what they hear about that is what they'll know. Also the child may just like something and want to learn about it. Who knows your child might grow up to be very proficient in that kind of stuff.
- Q: I am trying to find a vacuum cleaner that works but has a security feature that prevents it from being stolen. I work in a residence hall and have inherited the task of finding new vacuum cleaners. This hall has a history of thievery when it comes to vacuums, so I am hoping to find a means by which to control usage of a vacuum either with a key, a code, a combination, a timer, etc. Checking them out and in has proven not to work so well in the past.I want these vacuums to last for a long time, and I want them to be able to power through almost anything (hair, stickers, bobby-pins, etc.). Thanks for the help!
- That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
- Q: They look like vacuum cleaners
- i know that but they have good rally cars
- Q: Since my childhood, It always makes me sleepy and I literally love that white noise. I have already a couple of friends around having the same peace like I am when it operates. Maybe more here on the web?
- Nope, not me! I find that wierd! I'm wierd too i guess any insect buzz makes me itchy
- Q: I need your help! I have had over 6 diffrent vacuums. The first one was great but heavy and old. It was a GE but now the old thing has broken down. So I have tried to get the light weight ones, the cordless ones, even ones with all these kits with them, but they are all worthless. Either they break or all too delecate or too big. I NEED ONE THAT IS BAGLESS, HAS GOOD SUCTION, SMALL THAT WILL FIT UNDER BEDS AND TABLES, GOOD WITH CAT HAIRS AND MAYBE INCLUDE A HOSE TOO. Please help. Give me a store name and a URL of the vacuum. Thanks.
- Good one! :-P I did accidently!!! I was coming home with my vacume I just had repaired, it was a Hoover. The other car I had at the time was a hatch back. well, the clip on it had broken and I was traveling down the highway back home when the back flew open and my vacume took off, hit the ground........................ I was driving like 60 on that freeway and looking out my rear view window at my horror, the poor thing was sparking all over the place and other cars were dodging it in it's pass as it was litterly cruising backwards at high speed! I sincerely hope it didn't cause any accidents but I could have been cited for that. Nevertheless, I had the back door fixed and have a different car now. As for the poor Hoover, it went to the BIG Pearly gates in the sky!!!!!!!!!!!! :-( +(
- Q: Vacuum is the absence of matter. From my understanding, vacuums work by fans and air currents....I don't understand.
- RandyG and bill are absolutely spot on I will vote for them, bless. The reason the hoovers (sic) were so called is that it sounded terribly scientific in an age (many, many years ago) that the science was an ultra-important thing, to the average Mrs of a household, specially in America. But my theory is simpler - a goddam sucker does not sound so very nice, and in the 1930's it would not have gone down well with the middle class US who were the people who would be buying them. Not even 60 years ago in the uk, wives would beat the carpets on the line out in the back yard 'cos they no way could afford a 'hoover' - think on't, lad...... They had no washing machine. They hadn't even heard of a dish washer. Most houses here had not got central heating, a telephone of any sort, and half had no fridge they used a 'larder' and shopped every day since nothing would keep. Points to ponder, what your Gran and Parents lived through, innit?
