Q: I am creating a flow chart in Microsoft word and I am using the correct shapes on the Draw Toolbar, and now I would like to connect the appropriate shapes in the flowchart; however, when I go to connectors in the auto shapes button on the toolbar, it will not let me select it (faded out as un-selectable). I have followed the help directions exactly, but it will not let me select the lines I want under the connections tab. Q: I have a ton of CAT5e RJ45 connectors I would like to crimp onto CAT6 cable - TECHNICALLY they are not CAT6 but do not see much of a difference. I have done a few already with no prbs but have many more to do and don't want to have to redo them. My CAT6 is SOLID and the connectors are for solid and not stranded.: RJ45 is RJ45. Q: I have a 20 pin connector that connects to the motherboard and then I have a 4 pin (square) connector that connects to the motherboard. What does the 4 pin connector power. I'm trying to see if the PSU is any good. I have another PSU but it does not have the square 4 pin connector on it.from older unit and was going to see if I could try it out to power unit.: The 4-pin 12V ATX power connector (yellow and black wires) powers the processor on more recent motherboards. These motherboards will not boot if there is no power on that 4-pin connector. Processor will not power up. Old processors consumed less power. They were just powered from the +5V circuit on motherboard. Thus, old motherboards as well as old power supplies did not have the 4-pin 12V ATX power connector. Motherboards for newer high wattage processors (125-135W) usually have the 8-pin EPS 12V connector.

I tried the paper clip thin on spots 5 and 6 but it didnt flash any codes? can anyone help me?: 94 and 95 cars that are equipped with the 16 pin OBD2 style connector have built in +12v power coming off of pin 16 and ground coming off of pin 5. The 8192 baud serial data comes off of pin 9 in these connectors. but most likely you'll have to take it to like autozone or your mechanic to have it read

Q: engine will only run up to 1500 rpm,: The data connector should be located under the drivers side dash to the left of the steering column. It should be a round grey connector. There also might be one located next to the engine ECM. If the truck will not go over 1500 rpms while driving, inspect the Speed sensor on the back of the trany. If it fails the engine will go into a derated state limiting rpms.

Q: I have an old dell dimension and a new Asus motherboard, however the front panel power connector from my old case is so old that they stopped making them like that (it looks almost like a USB connector) Part # 6Y702 DELL. But the more modern day connectors on the motherboard has 2 rows of pins (some missing) on a white backing (I assume you know what this looks like, its in all computers now). I had to first turn my computer on via jumping 2 pins then setting it to AC power on. My question is can I take that covering off the old connector and manually attach the wires to the motherboard, either by old school wrapping them around or maybe a way to keep the part where they plug in? You can remove the female pins from the connector by pushing the catch down with a sewing straight pin or paper clip. Want to make this a neat job? A place called FrontX has all the connectors and blank plugs for applications such as yours. I did a old 4600i case up with their supplies. Cost was under $5.00. Link is below, hope it helps.
